What is the best way to manage downloaded apps on your Mac? I used AppZapper (which is really good btw) and thought nothing of it. However, I went and tried to redownload an app I had previously installed and I am not allowed. It is showing as installed (purchased) but it has since been removed and there is no way to reinstall it. Am I missing something?

View 1 Replies View Relatedfor the last few days my wi fi cuts out. If I go to the diagnostics it turns back on. It says that my network configurations have changed but then allows me to access it. But the next time I go to use it it has gone again.

I am having internet connection issues with my MacBook Pro 2011 - running the latest version of Lion OSX. My connection cuts out regularly (every 10 - 15 minutes) despite having a full wifi signal. It is happening on two different routers, in two different locations with two different ISP's.Â
When I run Network Diagnostics ISP is the test that fails, but after a couple of seconds diagnostics fixes it until the next 10 - 15 minutes. The only other alternative is turning wifi off and on. Both of these only last for the 10 - 15 minutes before it cuts out again.Â
It is very frustrating and research online seems to indicate it is a Lion issue. I have made an appointment with a genius, but browsing online it appears there is no solution. It is not acceptable.

This problem I've been having started when the latest version of Safari moved from a Downloads window to a Downloads pop-up pane. My expectation as to how the pane should work is this: the 20 most recent downloads are shown in the list, and when a new download begins, the oldest download is removed from the list, thereby keeping the new list updated with the 20 latest downloads. My problem is that while the pane still keeps 20 past downloads listed, they're not always recent downloads. For example, when I download a file, the file will typically remain in the list until I begin a new download, at which point the slightly earlier download will be removed from the list, while even older downloads remain listed. So at the moment, listed are five recent downloads and fifteen downloads from many months ago, while downloads from days or hours ago have been removed from the list.In Preferences I have (and always have) "Remove download list items" set to "Manually." Currently I am running the lasted versions of OSX (10.7.3) and Safari (5.1.5).Â

I have a mac, and my mom has a PC. I have been on her account since I was pretty young, so It's a shared account. It's under my email and apple ID, but my mom is on the same account, on her own computer. I want to have automatic downloads so I can use it for my iphone and ipad, but I don't want her song to end up going to my devices or laptop when she downloads from her own computer. is there a way to either turn off automatic downloads for just one computer, or get her a new account, but letting her transfer all of her music onto the new one?

Some songs which I recorded from cds and downloaded at 256 from iTunes Match are not playing all the way through.Â
I've tried deleting and redowning but the problem is still the same. I have checked the Get Info / Options - stop times and they are Ok.Â
In most cases I still have the original CDs but I'd like to know if there is a cure or whether I have done something wrong.

I've found recently that when I'm watching a video on youtube through safari the video will suddenly stop around halfway into it. I end up having to watch it using another browser. This only happens with Safari.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI made the update from OSX Mavericks to Yosemite. Was running fine until my computer ran out of battery. I plugged it in and try to turn it on, since then it stopped working. Â
Now, when I turn it on, the apple logo with the loading bar underneath appears, and halfway through the download, the computer shuts down on its own. Â

I Have a very new Mac, and for some reason, the screen goes black when I open it more than halfway. It happens to all the users, and even if it is or isn't charging. The brightening keys also doesn't do anything for it. I don't know if this is connected, but I also have half of the lights on at the dock, it kind of looks like lights on a stage..
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased Lion back in December but was hesitant about installing it. Now I have no choice but to install it because of the whole iCloud thing. I went into Applications on my Macbook, then to Purchased content, clicked "download," but nothing is happening. Everything on my laptop is current and up to date and ready for Lion. What should I do?

Since installing Lion, when I open "Downloads" in Finder and put it to view as "list" it won't stay this way. Each time I open it I have to put it back and also fix it to sort by most recent date. Then closing it down, and opening the icon on the dock, it shows back up as icons and alphabetically. How do you get it to stay on the "list" and by most recent date options?

I recently downloaded a movie off of Itunes and started playing it. Halfway through it froze. It's like an invisible wall, I can't get any further than it.

I recently wiped my MacBook Pro 5,3 and reinstalled snow leopard from the disc that came with it. I updated to 10.6.8 and opened the App Store to upgrade to Lion. I purchased Lion when it came out and it's always shown in the App Store as Purchased or Installed, but now I don't see it. I'm signed in to the same account on the same Mac. Why don't I see it come up? The App Store wants me to buy it again.
