Bought War and Peace and listened to the first couple hours, and now pressing the play button has no effect. I quit the Music app on my iPad and tried again, but it still doesn't play.

I downloaded an audio book from itunes store and file was kept under book folder. I syncronize my ipad but it doesn't show up in my ibook or under any playlist. has anybody known where i can find the audio book in my ipad.

I have imported two different audiobooks into iTunes.I am using itunes 10.3.6 on a macbook pro, mountain lion osx.I do have itunes match, and I turned off match to import the audiobooks so that I could go in and change the "media type" to audiobook. However, now some of the tracks (not all) are grayed out and inaccessible on my iphone.When trying to play the audiobook it just skips the tracks that are gray and moves on to the next black track.I've tried re-syncing and it doesn't help.

Now I can't download the book to my home computer without having to pay again AND I can't sync with the office computer without erasing all of the info and apps from my home computer. ITunes considers my home computer as the master library. I didn't know all of this and, quite frankly, don't understand why it has to be this way.

When viewing "books" in my Library in iTunes on my Mac, it shows the 3 books I successfully purchased on my Mac. However, when I sync my phone to my Mac, my purchased audiobooks are not syncing nor showing up no matter what I do. All my songs/music purchased always syncs perfectly, and I have everything checked in iTunes to sync properly for audiobooks: sync "audiobooks" is checked (only book showing up on iPhone is one I purchased on my iPhone so it downloaded directly there from iTunes), "purchased" & "audiobooks" playlist checked, etc. I bought these audiobooks directly through iTunes and they downloaded to my iTunes on my Mac properly, but just will NOT sync over to my iPhone for me to listen to them!

View 8 Replies View RelatedI had purchaser the single of the Payphone from iTunes and when the album was released I did a "Complete my Album" purchase of the same Album. iTunes won't play the single when palying the album. It is not shown as being in the album at all, even the track number is omited. How can I get that single to play in order when selecting the Album without creating a special playlist just for this album. I thought when you did a "Complete my album" it would do just that not omit it from the album and keep the single as a separate track.

I have downloaded a song and when I go to play it...it bounces off of the song and will not play. I have iTunes 10.6.1......Apple charged me for the song already. I went to Support but could not find a solution specific to my issue. I have downloaded over 2500 songs and this has not happened before. This song was one of nine other songs I downloaded that evening...all others came through successfully.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my system HDD to an SSD with a new install of OSX 10.6.4 and mimicked the settings I had on my previous set up to replicate it. however, when for example I was using iTunes to play music the screen saver would come on and a short time later the system would pause iTunes and goes into Sleep mode.
my previous install never did that so I'm not sure if its because of the SSD and it not being mechanical it doesnt recognize it accessing or seeking 'per se' because regardless of unchecking "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" it still does it. here is an image of energy saver settings; btw I had the system plugged into and still went into sleep mode when iTunes was playing and even other media formats such as Video in iTunes or VLC.
I transferred all my itunes library to an external hard drive.I had all my songs in itunes and then went to "preferences" and set itunes to look on my external hard drive for my itunes. Then I went to "library" and then "consolidate", and it moved all my library over to my external. I can verify that my songs are all there on my externalHowever, now, itunes won't play any songs of mine. I double click on the song in itunes and it just wont play. So I was in my room in the dark for like two seconds, and i tried to switch the sound on the computer, but I couldn't really see anything.Then I decided to stop listening to music and just closed my computer. Next morning, no sound comes out of itunes. Even with earphones
(and I know it was a bad idea) but at full volume. Did I press a bad combo of keys that would mute itunes? (Youtube works) I can buy songs at the itunes store, and they'll look like they're playing, but no sound comes out.

...now I don't have the same functionality with iTunes. Basically, I can't use iTunes at all anymore as the interface for my music and videos. Once the external drive is mounted, I can navigate through it and play individual songs, but I can't use iTunes to do that. All my previous Playlists show up down the left side of iTunes, but there isn't any music in them.
I downloaded 2 songs yesterday, made a Playlist out of them, and because the path in the Advanced tab of the iTunes Preferences is correct, it automatically added the songs to the external hard drive. I synced my iPod and it was completely erased except for the 2 new songs. Is there a way to use iTunes to navigate my music like I used to when I stored the information on the internal hard drive but keep the information on the external drive? I have a Mac running Snow Leopard and the latest version of iTunes.
When selecting a song to play from iTunes library, I continually get an error message indicating the original file could not be found. Then asks, would you like to locate it?I'm not even able to play the songs I purchased due to this error message.

Whenever I wanna play music on my iTunes, it stays at 0:00 ..... I've tried everything so far. I can't even go on youtube and hear the music. Yes, my volumes up, everything is plugged in, I went to system preferences and checked the sound, everythings fine. I re-installed iTunes, nothing happened... I can still buy songs and it goes on my iPod... The I have is an iMac G5 (tiger) and yes, I updated iTunes and the rest of my updates.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI can't add nor play certain MP3's anymore, and these same MP3's are ones I used to listen to a few weeks ago in iTunes 9. Is this some major bug? Here's my post copy and pasted from Apple.
Just to note, previously on iTunes 8, I had no issues. Starting with iTunes 9, at first I noticed that 9 would delete random albums' cover art on its own, and I'd always have to restore it. Now more recently, a lot of my albums I use to play with no problem, are not working anymore. They've lost their cover art, and just won't play. I try to delete them and re-add them, and now they won't add. I know there's nothing wrong with the files themselves because I was just listening to these same files and syncing them to my iPhone a few weeks ago. When 9 was first release they all worked fine. And it really ***** when some of the albums are your more favorite ones to listen to. Is anyone else suffering from this? I've searched and searched and all of these solutions of maybe the tags being messed up is not the issue. So is this a major bug with iTunes 9.01? It's pretty frustrating. Thanks to anyone that can provide assistance.
I am trying to access my iTunes songs and movies from my new Samsung HD/3D tv. It connects to the internet via my wifi and so it should be feasible. Has anyone succeded in doing this? I am running 10.6.8.

I've recently copied some cassette tapes onto the computer (using Audio Hijack Pro) as mp3 files. *None* of those longer than a minute and nineteen seconds will play past that point in iTunes on Lion. They show up as their proper length (and are *not* set to cut short in options), but playing them, they just skip to the next song at 1:19 as if they'd finished, no error or anything. If I drag the slider to a point past there, the counters stop at that point and it starts the next song when I release it. The files play perfectly well if I press the spacebar in Finder, or if I open them with Quicktime Player, or if I use my iPod Touch, or if I use iTunes in Windows XP, but not on the Mac. Every last one of them... and no others. Older tracks play perfectly, regardless of source or format.
All software is the latest version available. (Within reasonable meanings of "latest" for XP, at least.)
I can't RadioIo to play through iTunes. I click on it from the radio streaming list and all I get is a "Getting Playlist" pop-up that won't load. I have iTunes 10.6 (40) with OS 10.6.8.
