I have like 5 audiobooks in iTunes, but I only want to sync 1 audiobook with my iPhone. But when I try to sync my audiobook, it only allows me to sync ALL the audiobooks, not just one of them.
View 1 RepliesI have imported two different audiobooks into iTunes.I am using itunes 10.3.6 on a macbook pro, mountain lion osx.I do have itunes match, and I turned off match to import the audiobooks so that I could go in and change the "media type" to audiobook. However, now some of the tracks (not all) are grayed out and inaccessible on my iphone.When trying to play the audiobook it just skips the tracks that are gray and moves on to the next black track.I've tried re-syncing and it doesn't help.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just purchased 3 audiobooks through iTunes to listen to on my iPhone 3GS (plenty of free memory). When viewing "books" in my Library in iTunes on my Mac, it shows the 3 books I successfully purchased on my Mac. However, when I sync my phone to my Mac, my purchased audiobooks are not syncing nor showing up no matter what I do. All my songs/music purchased always syncs perfectly, and I have everything checked in iTunes to sync properly for audiobooks: sync "audiobooks" is checked (only book showing up on iPhone is one I purchased on my iPhone so it downloaded directly there from iTunes), "purchased" & "audiobooks" playlist checked, etc. I bought these audiobooks directly through iTunes and they downloaded to my iTunes on my Mac properly, but just will NOT sync over to my iPhone for me to listen to them!

I used Macthe Ripper to rip my sons chuggington dvd to my macbook pro, then i used handbrake to convert it, i managed to copy the converted file to my itunes library, but when i symc my iphone 3gs, it says it won't copy the file because it can't be played on my iphone.Several forums mention using the iphone/ipod touch preset when converting in Hnadbrake, now i may be a numpty, but i cant find this preset anywhere?! The closest thing i can see is an apple button/setting.when i selected apple and told it to play again, it said it would overwrite the prev converted verison. It took hours to convert the first time, if I do this, will it really work? Or will I waste another 3 hours?!

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy friend recorded a lecture using a microphone attached to his old-model iPod nano. I told him it would be easy to transfer to his computer, a Macbook Air. It was; he attached via USB cable, iTunes detected new voice memos, he said yes please copy the voice memos, and they were copied. Yes! He can now listen to the lecture on his MB Air. But... Now he wants me to listen to the lecture as I drive around with my iPhone 4. I thought this would be easy: attach my iPhone to his Air, open iTunes, and tell iTunes to put the lecture on my iPhone. But... It won't copy! When I try to drag the lecture from the main list in iTunes onto my iPhone in the source list, it always snaps back. There is no error message; it just "won't go". There are no copyright issues; it's a recording he made himself from a college lecture.
I thought maybe the issue was that the file was in WAV format. (I don't know if this is always the case, or if that was the format used natively for Voice Memos on his old-model iPod Nano.) I told iTunes to create an AAC version, which it promptly did. But that, too, will not drag-and-drop onto my iPhone. There are zillions of programs to copy from an iPhone or iPod onto a Mac, but how do I go the other way?

View 2 Replies View RelatedBefore, in iTunes I could drag several albums, one after the other, over to my iPhone for copying. iTunes would just add the subsequent albums to a growing queue behind the scenes, happily copying until everything was done. Now, for some reason, when I am in the midst of copying one album and drag a second over to copy, iTunes stops copying the first album and begins copying the second; it's as if the hidden queue has disappeared. So I'm left with a bunch of truncated, random songs off each album I've tried to copy.

I am trying to copy 3 photos from an album in iPhoto to my iPhone. I have tried to move them to PhotoStream. I "select" the photos in the Album and then click on PhotoStream in the "Share" menu at the bottom of the screen. Nothing happens. I have also tried emailing them tyo myself but iPhoto won't send the email. It tells me it doesn't recognize my ID and password. My operating is Lion on an iMac.

I don't know when this started, but it's been the case for months: let's say I drag 10 albums' worth of files to copy to my iPhone (under manually manage music)--that will take a minute or so to copy via wi-fi. But, now, if I drag another album over to copy before the previous batch of 10 has finished transferring, the 10-album transfer is canceled, and the new album starts copying in its place. Before, dragging new files over to the phone during a copy would add to a "queue" such that your current copy job was not canceled.

I purchased an audiobook on my office computer, but I use my home computer to sync with my iPhone. Now I can't download the book to my home computer without having to pay again AND I can't sync with the office computer without erasing all of the info and apps from my home computer. ITunes considers my home computer as the master library. I didn't know all of this and, quite frankly, don't understand why it has to be this way.

I think I have found a flaw in OSX 10.6.4 file copying..I normall back up my files, by dragging from a folder on my HD to an identical folder on my external HD.The folder I am copying has 86 files in it, but there are only about two dozen new files added since my last back up.I have been telling it by the dialogue box, not to replace identical files in the back up folder, and clicking the check box to apply to all."but when I press the dont copy button, in the copy progress box it says it is copying 86 files. I have an iMac and a MacBook. My brother is getting a MacBook Pro for University and wants to be able to use the programs (Photoshop, Microsoft Office, etc.) on our iMac from time to time. The problem is the school gave him no install discs, they just copied a disc image to his drive.
My question is, can you just copy applications from one computer to another? I know in Windows this was impossible, but on a Mac the applications seem to be more self-contained. I did copy one app successfully (Comic Life) but will doing the same work for all apps?
Put simply, I am looking for a CloneCD equivalent to the mac.
More specifically, I am looking for a program that will copy and/or create disk images (either iso or dmg) of CD-roms or DVD-roms with copy protection on them. Obviously, trying to do this with disk utility or the wonderful open-source disc burning utility "Mac OS X Burn", which does almost everything else, will fail.
I have a couple of games (some of them are on CD-rom, others are on DVD-rom, and I am sure they have copy protection.) and I want to copy them onto my HDD as some form of a disc image file so I can just mount them when playing the game.
P.S. Please don't bring up legal issues. I bough these games and I am just copying them onto my HDD to play myself while saving some battery power on my laptop. It's not illegal, and more importantly, even if it was, it doensn't matter because I don't find it morally incorrect.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have my iTunes on my MBP but want to be able to copy it to my Mac Pro. I copied the folder on my local directory/Music/iTunes. It contains many folders such as iTunes Library, iTunes Music Library.xml, etc. I copied that entire folder to my Mac Pro in the same location, local directory/Music/iTunes.
I then opened iTunes. All of my music was there but one issue I have is with Podcasts. I subscribe to many of them but have some set up to only keep one at a time, others to keep all podcasts that I have not listened to, etc. The problem is it just simply downloads all podcasts, not deleting any. It seems some of my preferences aren't being copied. Is there another location that I have to copy some type of prefs from?
