ITunes :: Airplay Can't Connect To Remote Speakers Or Multiple Speakers When Speakers Are Visible In It

I have iTunes 10.6.1 (7) an Airport Extream Version 6.0 Airport Utility (600.92) That I use with two airport express stations, an Apple TV 2nd Generation with latest software up date. Also have Ipad 3rd Generation and two I phone 4's. Issue: After installing the latest Airport Utility software update I'm unable to connect to my remote speakers in iTunes. The speakers are visible in the pop up menu but iTunes times out when trying to connect. If I use remote to select Apple TV and then via Apple TV select my Computers Library I'm able to play music on the Apple TV / Home Speakers... but still not the Airport Express Stations.
When using remote on the iPhone or iPad the speakers are visible as well but I'm unable to select them... iTunes times out. I can steam music from that is on my iPhone or iPad to each individual speaker, but multiple speaker control is not available and the music from my library is not available. I believe the problem is in the Airplay feature of iTunes and I believe the problems arise when you install the latest version of Airport Utility. You can play on remote speakers, only one at a time, and only if you have the music on a stand alone device (iPhone or iPad)... in summary, bypass iTunes and you can be successful... marginally successful.
This may or may not be a stupid proposition, but here it goes: I have a Klipsch Promedia GMX 2.1a speaker system which I like very much. However, I was wondering if I could replace the existing satellite speakers with bookshelf speakers (like Klipsch RB-10 s). I'm hoping this will work because I want to increase the audio output of my system without spending money on an amplifier.
I have built-in home speakers and I wanted to know if you have to buy airport express to use airplay. Do you have to have airplay wireless speakers to play music from airplay?
After I pulled out the jack for my speakers the volume icon was greyed out [URL]and soon I realized that internal speakers as such have been disabled from the system [URL]When I restart the startup chime is played as usual.Is it a hardware or software thing?
I have a PC connected to a 5.1 channel 1000W Speaker system, and I know there are options for remote speakers in iTunes, is there a way to set it up so I can select songs on my MacBook's iTunes, and have the sound come through the PC's Speaker System, even a third party program or whatever?
My new 25" HP 2510i monitor arrived today, all is good except from the speaker system, I can either have the iMac's built in speakers used or the built in monitor speakers used. Is it possible to combine them both and use both?
The monitor's audio interface connects to my iMac via the headphone jack on the back of the system.
Situation: no sound out from speakers in admin and user account and newly created account. Headphones work, startup chimes work on speakers.
Go to Sound in Preferences and only shows Digital Out for output. Should show Internal Speakers. Ran Diskwarrior and Applejack and zapped pram. Took mac apart and confirmed speakers wired correctly which is verified by the start up chimes being audible on the internal speakers. tested all accounts and created new account all with the same results. Did search of Google and MacRumor. Found one unaswered post indicating same problem. Had same problem with another macbook pro, ran same steps, take apart, confirm wiring setup, Diskwarriored, applejacked and zapped pram and it fixed the problem. I'm not sure what else to try. Did check Audio Midi Setup util and it also did not see the internal speakers.
I have five sets of speakers connected with Airports, but they keep disappearing from iTunes. Sometimes, they re-appear when I reboot the PC; sometimes they do not. Is this a known problem, is there a known solution (or work around?)
I have iTunes 10.6.1 on my Macbook Pro and was using the multiple speakers feature with my 2 airport expresses very successfully until recently. Now when I try to use multiple speakers within iTunes it recognizes those speakers but can't connect. I've tried resetting both airport expresses but nothing. I have all the recent upgrades and haven't done anything out of the ordinary to change things up.
I also know it isn't the airport expresses because I have another product called Airfoil that streams music wirelessly from any source to those speakers via the airport express and that works fine. So it's definitely something specifically to do with iTunes.
One last thing, when I stream iTunes via the Airfoil I have no problems. So again, it's definitely something to do with iTunes.

I have a Macbook Pro, Airport Express, Apple TV. I can stream Itunes to any single output, I can stream to computer and Apple TV.But the Airport Express is no longer (since I installed Apple TV) in the pop-up checkbox list for "Multiple Speakers".
One day I come home, turn on my mac, try to play music and theres no sound ! looked into the sound preferences and internal speakers are no longer one of the options. I tried all the solutions mentioned ; take off all external sources, tried plugging in and out the headphones 50 times, restarted OS, installed the latest software and still nothing. Did anyone face this problem and try eeeverything and nothing works
After upgrading to Lion on my Macbook Air, I can't seem to be able to connect to my external speakers through airport express. Somehow I can't get the little icon I used to do, on the bottom right corner of the iTunes window (on the left of genius) to select the speakers. I checked the preferences in vain.

I punch my iTunes music through an Airport Express to a remote set of speakers in the kitchen, which works wonderfully, but I'd like to know if there's a way to run the system sounds through the AE as well. In particular, I listen to Pandora (through a browser) on my laptop, but would love to listen in the kitchen. System 10.4 I believe...
can you use Apple TV or Airport Express as a remote feed for amp/speakers and I don't mean from iTunes I mean the system audio out? It seems such a basic request but I can't seem to find anything about it.
the external speakers (and the earphones) I use for my i-mac suddenly stopped playing sound from my imac. They do work though when I plug them to the i-pod. My imac speakers work perfectly. Any ideas what's happening?
I have 2 macs - mac mini and a macbook pro Both audio outputs of the computers are teathered to my speakers with a Y cable. When computer one is playing music to the speakers, I'll be using computer two for work purposes. Should computer two experience an audible alert (instance message, new e-mail message, etc) the music will dim for about 30 seconds. How do I prevent the "dimming" of the music?
I have several speakers (Logitech) which I had hooked up to my PC with three cables, black, pink, green...the Mac Mini only has one plus for Audio...what do I do to get sound out of these speakers all at once?
I have my G5 set up with a harmon kardon speakers and all is fine. From my office there are cables to another room where I can attach speakers. I know that I could have used airport extreme to connect other speakers but can anyone tell me how I can connect the other speakers (via) the cable to my mac. I've just purchased a new sr macbook pro 2.4 ghz. when i plug the macbook pro to external speakers, the quality is really bad, no bass, just high tones. I allready checked the equalizer in Itunes and I turned the bass all the way up, but the sound was still horrible...
When I connect my macbook pro to a tv (via dvi to video adaptor) The sound of the external speakers goes even worse. The adapter causes like a weird tone in the bass...

I just bought some Parrot Hi-Fi bluetooth speakers. (they are fantastic by the way) Connected them via bluetooth on my iMac without issue. I then went to the system settings and selected use headset and its all good. (Sound Great)
My issue is that every time I restart I have to go to settings and re connect again. Is there a way of automating this or creating a shortcut for the doc etc. I just need it to be simple for my wife to connect them each day.
i bought a macbook pro 15. I know it has an optical in/out for audio. At home i have a 5.1 speakers - precisely a philips MMS 260/00. I really don't have any idea about how i can connect my speakers on the macbook pro cause it has just 1 1 optical input/output and my speakers instead have 3 jacks (green, orange and black). what i need and how i can connect this speakers (with 3 jacks) on my mackbook pro?

i have a G4 with an m-audio revolution 7.1 sound card. the speakers are cambridge soundworks 510D and the receiver is an old denon avr-1403. i have an spdif cable but the problem is my speakers are "computer" speakers so i cant just go from the digital out on my sound card to the digital in on the receiver and plug my speakers/sub into the receiver. and here's a pic of the back of the sub on the 510D showing the inputs
