OS X :: Using Bootcamp Without Apple Keyboard?
Dec 22, 2010I am now using a wireless Logitech keyboard. Once I reboot and push ALT to try and bring up boot selection, it doesn't work. I've tried other keys as well.

Feb 13, 2012i am running awin7 in bootcamp. in this bootcamp i am using outlook 2010. i cannot create an "@" in emails. is there any shortcut to create an @? is there any combination to create the windows "alt gr" on the macbook air keyboard?

Jun 7, 2009Will the new, slim, wireless Apple keyboard work fine with Bootcamp running Windows Vista? Will Vista recognize the keyboard eveytime you log in, without having to re-program it everytime? I asked a worker at the Apple Store, and he said it should be fine except the "special controls". What are everyone's experience with the Apple keyboard on bootcamp?

May 15, 2012I just bought a new 2012 aluminum Wireless keyboard and the function keys do not work properly. I am currently running OS 1.5.8. I would expect most keys to match the icons on the keyboard. I do not want to upgrade to Snow Leopard or Lion. I have installed an aluminum keyboard upgrade 2.0 and this did not help. I just want the the keyboard functions to match the icons on the keyboard.. Volume up...volume down...

Aug 19, 2010I was just wondering what all of your thoughts were regarding these two keyboards. I know I can't get the Wireless Pro new anymore, however I can get it used for $20 from someone I know.
The new aluminum one however, I can get for about $40 used or just buy a new one for $70. I'm looking to buy a used one so it's pretty much the Wireless Pro for $20 vs the Wireless Aluminum for $40.
This will be going towards a set-up with my MBP which will be on an mstand, with an external monitor. I've already gotten the Magic Mouse so I'm trying to find a nice Bluetooth keyboard to compliment it.
OS X :: Mac Keyboard F-keys And Windows Through Bootcamp?
Dec 13, 2007I tend to use alot of my F-keys in Windows through bootcamp, but certain F-keys with secondary functions on the mac keyboard such as changing the brightness or volume up and down (as an example), keep functioning when I press them.
I did shut off the secondary F-key functions in the Mac system preferences, hoping it would stay inactive when I'm in Windows. Unfortunately they still turn my brightness up and down when, let's say, I hit the F1 or F2 keys in Windows.
Does anybody know any way to shut this off in Windows? Does it have to do with any drivers installed?

May 28, 2008I just have a quick question about Boot Camp.
Is there any way that I can remap my keyboard ONLY when I'm in BootCamp, so that it's like I'm actually on a PC? By this, I just mean that Command = Alt / Option, Alt / Option = the Windows logo key, and Control stays the same? If so, please tell me how, as it's really annoying while gaming, seeing as the games are formatted for a regular PC keyboard.

Aug 22, 2010Having a VERY strange issue with my new 27" iMac. I've tried installing XP twice now and everything works fine through the installation and after XP boot initially without any Apple drivers. Keyboard (wired) and my Magic Mouse work just fine.
Then I install the Apple drivers and after a restart XP does not recognize and keyboard/mouse. Even if I hook up a standard USB windows keyboard and wired mouse, nothing. Booting into Mac OS everything works fine, but nothing in XP, including safe mode.

Dec 6, 2010installed Win 7 with no issues except it doesn't recognize the Apple keyboard an wireless mouse. Rebooted in Win 7 and put in OS X disk and reran bootcamp as it said. Still doesn't see them and in Windows, the screen is on full bright and I don't see how to decrease it since the keyboard issue.
