I have a MFC-J430W Brother printer set up for Airprint. When I use Airprint on my ipads or iphones it always comes out in color.
Is there a way to adjust my print settings when using my mobile devices?

i have two iMacs, one 2009 and another 2014 and a network printer, these are in a home office and the iMacs connect individually to my by home hub. My network/usb printer is connected to one of the iMacs. whats the best way to setup a network to connect the two iMacs and allow AirPrint from iPhone/iPads without having to run a network cable to my home hub.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI used the air print instructions posted in the ipad forum to get airprint working with my iPad and iOS4.2 and I found one nice little side effect.I have never been able to get printing to work between my win7 pc and macbook. I tried a bunch of things and just gave up to using a dropbox folder that was being monitored on the win7 desktop called print queue (instructions somewhere). There was never anyway for me to easily find my shared printer until now. I fired up settings.app earlier today and was totally surprised to see this. I just thought I'd share.

But how do I customise the 'open file' window. Every time I open a file I have to increase the size of the window, change the view and then look for my files.... is there a way to set the default view to what I would wish it to be?
I have enclosed a screen shot of the default open file window.... I would like a bigger window...... and be able to see 'list view' as opposed to icons each time.

I just started using my Logitech MX518 with my Macbook. It works with scrolling, and right-left clicking, and cursor sensitivity.
But the other buttons are retarded. When I click down the scrollwheel, I get the OSX Dashboard up. And when I use the Back button, I get expos�. How do I adjust these buttons to do what I want?
Im used to clicking down the scroolwheel for a new pane in web browsing.
I have had my MacBook Pro now for a little over 2 yrs and I was very frustrated I could not change any print options in any application. I know that the Triangle button expands print options screen but when I do, I have only two print choices. It gave me Standard or Page Attributes in Office and any other App it is Standard and Last used settings. I can't print in Draft, Best or other setting because it does not even give them as a choice. I have two high end color photo printers, Canon i9900 and Epson Photo series and an old HP830 series. Any app I tried to print from and the same thing. I tried to capture the options on the choices but it would not grab that part of the image but here is my screen shot. I searched many forums and I still get the same answer so something else is not letting me change things so I figured best to ask since I am a 20 year win user now switched to Mac. Well right after I posted this question, my wife found the answer. I never though to check the application NAME in the print setting screen. Example, in the screenshot I am using Preview. I never thought to hit the up/down arrow next to the Preview label and wouldn't you know, that is were the quality and several other settings were. I felt pretty stupid that it took 2 years to figure this out but if I posted the answer maybe someone else will not have to take as long as I did to change their print quality!

I'm trying to get the MacBook to recognize the Samsung when I plug it in and automatically adjust the settings, so I don't have to muck around with the settings every-time. Is there anyway of doing this? oh and disabling the MacBook's display so it doesn't detect it as a second monitor?

View 7 Replies View RelatedOn occasion while surfing ads will appear in Arabic. I will click on YouTube and it is also in Arabic. The country preference has switched to Saudi Arabia. I have to switch the YouTube country setting back to Worldwide. After that change is made, web ads no longer appear in Arabic. Why the changes occur? For what it's worth malware scans are negative. I do use Hotspot VPN, but the server used is in the US.

I changed my Mac to 10.5.7 when it was sent as an update since then my old epson1160 wont let me use print settings or colour management they both have a line through them. In the dialogue box it says the bundle print settings could not be loaded because it does not contain a version for the current architecture contact the bundles creator listed here for the latest version 1.29. I have updated to the 1.29 version and got rid of the gutenburg driver as suggested by another forum but it has not changed I still have the same problem.

My girlfriend changed the user's name and the problems started (iMac wouldn't remeber system settings and denied access to some files and catalogs). When I wanted to fix the problem I probably made a mistake and changed the access settings of some files (finally even hard disk's settings). After this action my iMac doesn't start (the screen is white with the apple logo and nothing happens). Is there anybody who knows what to do now?
