So I tried to add Mass Effect 3 Datapad and Mass Effect infiltrator to my iPhone. I have a 3GS running version 4.2.1. The app store says the 3GS is supported and that iOS 4.0 minimum is required. why it's not syncing? I keep getting the "app not compatible with this iPhone" message.

just got message "The installed graphics card does not meet the minimum requirements for Aperture"
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a complete list of all the software requirements to use iCloud? I thought I just had to upgrade my Mac OS, which I did. My iPhone is already running iOS 5. But now it looks like I have to upgrade Pages. What are *all* of the software requirements? I'd like to know before I continue buying software.

I don't have the up to date system requirements to run iCloud on my mac but would still like to access my email on my mac. I think I need to update my settings, but am not sure what to do.

We have a Family MobileMe Pack and have an iMac with Snow Leopard. When I chose to move 2 accounts that the iMac uses to iCloud, I selected the option to "keep using your email after MobileMe ends" so that these accounts will still work on Mail for the iMac. Â
When I check the accounts under the Master account, these 2 accounts show (Remove Account) instead of (Migrated to iCloud) as is the case for my kids' accounts. Â Now I'm confused as to whether these 2 accounts are really migrated or not. And I'm not sure I can move the Master account to iCloud before these 2 accounts have been migrated. I've read I cannot manage any of the family accounts anymore once the Master account moves to iCloud. But time is running out.Â
I have a 2006 Mac. It is running OSX 10.6.8.Should I upgrade the software to support icloud?

At transition, I initially want to keep my me.com/mac.com email and then (later) seamlessly move to Lion and full iCloud. Will this be possible and if so, can anyone see necessary tweaking to ensure that my retained me.com email will continue to forward or receive from external email accounts? Â

I currently have a master account. I have 5 email accounts with different names. How do I get all of the email accounts to move to iCloud?
Info:
iBook Dual USB - white case, Mac OS X (10.3.4)
Accessing the URL me.com/move is not possible- browser redirects me to Find My iPhone. When I attempt to enter my legacy MobileMe address in the iCloud System Preference panel, I am prevented because it is taken despite the fact it is assigned to me. Infinite Loop of frustration: being constantly redirected by support documents to a page that does not exist. My me.com email address is verified in my Apple ID settings page.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an old pre-Intel G5 Mac desktop and want to keep using Mobile me Mail and Entourage because they work so well and I have been using them for 10 years. I cannot get the mail system to work having moved everything else to iCloud. Followed the instructions but it just does not work and the mail.mac.com server will not accept my password. Any ideas?

I have an iMac at home and a MBA all running Mac OSX Lion 10.7.3.Â
I use Mail/ iCloud and whilst all my email folders sync, the two inboxes do not and I am forever 'filing' emails into folders on both computers, with a lot of duplication.Â
Is there any way of having my combined inboxes (multiple accounts) all synced too?Â

I have an iCloud subscription.  A couple of thousand on a macBook. And i have an iMac. I am running the latest OSX on both. I have set BOTH devices to sync photos to iCloud. But it just doesn't do it. It syncs other material [notes, calendar etc] perfectly happily.Â

I would like to keep my playlists in sync across my macs.Is there some new "iCoud" way to automatically sync up my playlists? For example, I have an iMac and a Mac Book Air. I can keep all of my songs in sync with the new iTunes "Purchased" feature, and that works perfect. The piece I do not understand how to do yet is:I have a playlist on my iMac called "Good Songs" Currently, I know how to export this from iTunes as a text file and copy the text file to my laptop and import it.But then when I make changes on my iMac, I need to redo the export / copy / import all over again. Is there an iCloud feature I can enable or leverage some how to make these changes propagate automatically?Â

What exactly happens if I checkmark "documents and data" in the iCloud preferences on both my Macs? On iOS my understanding is that developers can build support for iCloud right into their apps, and so, only those apps that are coded to support iCloud syncing will be able to do it. However on the Mac, documents are not stored in an app-centric manner (and I'm glad because I loathe the app-centric document storage aspect of iOS).
So, I'm not clear what happens if you choose to sync "documents and data" over iCloud. Currently I use Chronosync to sync my documents folders between my desktop and laptop. However, this is a fairly hands-on process, and while I still plan on using Chronosync between my computers for several purposes, I would be happy to have iCloud sync certain documents and data between my Macs.
For example, I'd like iCloud to sync my Stickies, Downloads folders, and certain folders of documents like scanned receipts and saved web archives, etc. However I am scared to check the "Documents and Data" checkbox because I don't know what the heck it does. Is it going to scan my computer and upload everything in my documents folder? Or what? I read Apple's iCloud set-up guide but it did not give me a clue regarding this, and I didn't see any links to an advanced manual.

I am trying to get icloud to sync my mail across 2 Macs and an ipad. All three collect mail OK.I can move mail from the inboxes to folders in ICLOUD on one mac and they appear in those folders on the other and the ipad. But they do not dissapear from the inboxes of the other two. This is from the other mac showing mailbox structure and files emails which should not be there.

I'm pretty sure this has been talked to death but I can't find the answer.
I'm looking for a bare minimum neoprene or otherwise sleeve for my 11.6 MBA.
No second pockets, no carry strap, It doesn't even need to close. I just want to slip it in and then put it in another bag that doesn't have a padded slot.
Ive got a friend that has a mac pro 2.66 quad core and it came stock with only 2gb of ram. He wants to order some today but is not sure how much to get. If getting it from OWC what would be the best bang for the buck? is there a point where more ram wont make that much difference?
oh and his has 4x512mb sticks, what are your opinions on not matching the sticks? (such as 1gb with 512mb)
With my new headphones (Sennheiser HD280-PRO) even the lowest volume is too high (even when using the extra levels using the option-key). It's just below the level where it'll be uncomfortable, but lower would still be preferred.
Does anyone know how I can get OS X to use a different scale? I have a MBP 4,1 with OS X 10.6.3.
I've got a 13" unibody MBP, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo w/4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory.
From a hardware standpoint, can I run FCP and not want to tear the room apart? I have an external monitor so that's not the issue...
I know that technically I could run the software, but would it be torturous? I'll be working with HD video.
Furthermore...best place ($$) to legitimately get a copy of the software? Also, if I need to upgrade my system what would you all reccomend? Again, money is obviously the issue here and I'm just starting to get my hands dirty with this aspect of production so I'm trying to ease into things.
get my fist MAC system for home, of course on a limited budget. What would be the minimum set-up (hardware + OS) to allow say 2 users to simultaneusly use Corel painter while the 3rd surfs the web. Also would like the capability to dual boot to Windows.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm considering getting the new MacBook Air, and using it mainly as a Windows notebook. So I'm trying to figure out if I can get away with the lower-end 64GB configuration. What's the minimum size I need to give the Mac OSX partition, just so I can boot into it occasionally for bootcamp updates and other such housekeeping tasks?
View 21 Replies View RelatedSMCFanControl lets me set a higher minimum fan speed on my MacBook Pro (I like to keep it at about 3600rpm instead of 2000rpm minimum). Is there a way to do this with the MacBook Air? SMCFanControl doesn't seem to detect the MacBook Air properly. Essentially I want it to run at around 3600rpm and increase to 6200rpm as needed. It should never be running lower than 3600rpm.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if there is a way to reduce the minimum sound volume on osx. I have the feeling that the gap from mute (zero volume, not the "mute" key) to the first level is huge, like 0-25%, and then the 15 others increase only gradually, and I'd like to sorta "recalibrate" this...
If necessery, here are my machine's details :

I have a new mid-2009 iMac 24 inch 2.66GHz. I work in a quiet environment and most of the time the computer is idling along. iStat returns the following fan speeds:
CPU 1200
HDD 1600
ODD 800
Even when I drive the iMac a bit harder - 100% CPU for an hour and a half - the temps only rise as follows:
CPU 60 C
Northbridge 68 C
Power Supply 71 C
and the fan speeds do not increase.
I value silence, and it seems to be unnecessary for the fans to running at this speed when they are not needed most of the time - when the computer is not under any load. With the iMac everything is right in front of your face. I heard about iMac Fan Control and installed it, but there is no possibility to set lower-than-standard fan speeds, except for the HD which can be set to 1200 instead of 1600. However, the ODD minimum speed increases to 1000 from 800.
