We have a Family MobileMe Pack and have an iMac with Snow Leopard. When I chose to move 2 accounts that the iMac uses to iCloud, I selected the option to "keep using your email after MobileMe ends" so that these accounts will still work on Mail for the iMac. Â
When I check the accounts under the Master account, these 2 accounts show (Remove Account) instead of (Migrated to iCloud) as is the case for my kids' accounts. Â Now I'm confused as to whether these 2 accounts are really migrated or not. And I'm not sure I can move the Master account to iCloud before these 2 accounts have been migrated. I've read I cannot manage any of the family accounts anymore once the Master account moves to iCloud. But time is running out.Â
I have a 2006 Mac. It is running OSX 10.6.8.Should I upgrade the software to support icloud?

At transition, I initially want to keep my me.com/mac.com email and then (later) seamlessly move to Lion and full iCloud. Will this be possible and if so, can anyone see necessary tweaking to ensure that my retained me.com email will continue to forward or receive from external email accounts? Â

I currently have a master account. I have 5 email accounts with different names. How do I get all of the email accounts to move to iCloud?

Accessing the URL me.com/move is not possible- browser redirects me to Find My iPhone. When I attempt to enter my legacy MobileMe address in the iCloud System Preference panel, I am prevented because it is taken despite the fact it is assigned to me. Infinite Loop of frustration: being constantly redirected by support documents to a page that does not exist. My me.com email address is verified in my Apple ID settings page.

I cannot get the mail system to work having moved everything else to iCloud. Followed the instructions but it just does not work and the mail.mac.com server will not accept my password. Any ideas?

I am trying to install the 10.4.9 upgrade on my powerpc G5 and I keep getting a message telling me that my startup disk doesn't meet the system requirements for that upgrade. I am using 10.4.11 now and have tried upgrading in increments to reach 10.4.9, but even 10.4.2 won't install.

When I downloaded a upgrade package from Apple [URL] for the Mac OS X v10.6.2 Update, it failed to install on my hard drive. The installation program says: "Mac OS X Update Combined can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update." According to the Disk Utility, the Partition Map Scheme is GUID Partition Table. Some people have listed this as a requirement. What is the real reason for the failure?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a new iMac with Leopard. When my files were transferred from my older iMac, Safari didn't load. I downloaded Safari, but two days later it disappeared. Now when I try to download Safari from the web I get the following message when I select the Hard Drive as the destination:
"You cannot install Safari 3 Beta on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."
Getting error message:
The application "Word" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "-<Microsoft Word><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_System><>"
Getting similar message when I tried opening other Microsoft, Photoshop, palm desktop, and AOL applications. (Since the only application that now opens is Final Draft, perhaps this is sign that my focus needs remain in on screenplays?) Tried downloading and reinstalling my current update version: 10.4.11 It said my system doesn't meet the requirements to update (even though it currently exists as this & I have enough disc memory available.)

View 1 Replies View Relatedfor over a month I have been unable to use search in email on the icloud. If I search for ANYTHING at all, eventually it comes back saying it can not download emails. The email list is blank. Then, even after deleting the search criterai, I can see no emails whatsoever anywhere, not in Sent, not in Trash, and not in Inbound. The only way I can see emails again is to log out and log back in again. Email on the icloud has been like going back 10 yrs in functionality. It has been painfully slow and I see the Can not Load message frequently. All of this is while using my Macbook Pro.
