ICloud :: It Continues To Use Previous Apple ID - Cannot Get In To Change
May 18, 2012
Because my email address has changed, I changed my Apple ID (on my Mac) and set a new password. ICloud messages keep popping up, on the Mac and Ipad telling me it cannot sync and asking me to log in, but providing the old Apple ID in the prompt. I have tried the old password, the new password and a lot of other words, but cannot log in to make any changes. It offers the option of resetting the password for the old Apple ID, but I don't see the point in doing this. I want to get into iCloud somehow, make it use the new Apple ID and do this on my iPad also. I do not use a mobile phone as part of this network.

Since downloading the new OS Lion10, my screen display continues to change resolution (+4x) without any prompt, changing to a new app is the only way to go to the original resolution… Is there a setting that needs to be changed to stop this from happening

My mac mail continues to regect my correct password. I've done a new password and have checked all mail settings in mail preferences. Nothing seems to work. Iphone and icloud work fine... it's just my mac mail that doesn't sync with my computer itself. Soooo frustrating!!!
I keep getting: The MobileMe IMAP server “mail.me.com” rejected the password for user “xxx”

I'm running 10.6.8 and yesterday I noticed my ipod not connecting to my computer at all. So I did a software update and restarted my computer. I don't remember what the install was because I've done this procedure before. But this time my computer restarted but held on the grey apple icon spinning wheel screen. I had to power down after several minutes. I've booted up from an bootable archived system and ran diagnostics on the directory using Disc Utilities & Disk Warrior. Directories were fixed. When I choose the main startup hardrive, same thing occurs.

I recently updated my apple ID and password. However, my iCloud on my MacBook Pro and my iPhone 4S don't recognize that either have changed, so I keep getting locked out of my iCloud. Even when presented with my original apple ID and typing in the password for that ID, I still get locked out. I keep getting suggested to "Manage Account", but it wants me to change my password.how do I change my apple ID in iCloud on my MacBook Pro? I have the OS X 10.9.5 operating system. I've tried searching other troubleshooting methods with no success.

So, I recently bought a MacBook Pro and set up the iCloud feature. I've also had a iPhone for a few years and I have tons of photos and documents, etc on it that I would like to put in the cloud. Is it possible to move these files into my cloud, or will it only put new things into the cloud?

I changed my Apple ID and iCloud ID today. But when I use iCal on my May 2011 iMac running Lion, the iCloud calendar shows up in iCal; however, I keep getting an error message asking for a password for the previous iCloud ID. I have removed the iCloud calendar from iCal twice and reinstalled it with the current ID and password. Everything works; but I still get the dialogue box asking for the passwork for the previous ID. It requires me to cancel it several times before it final disappears. How do I remove the previous ID so I won't get the error message?

Apple replace my 2007 (June) MBP with the version just prior to this last update (June 2009 model) on April 7. Any chance Apple would swap me with the brand new MBP or am I just S.O.L. I have heard here of people purchasing MBP (because they were fed up with waiting) a week or two before the updates became public and Apple happily swapped them with the newest version
