I accidently entered my Apple ID for purchases as my iCloud Apple ID while setting up my Macbook Pro. However, all my other devices use my mobileMe AppleID. How do I change the iCloud Apple ID to a different Apple ID on my Macbook Pro?
When I go to System Preferences/iCloud, I see a button for account details, but no way to change my Apple ID for iCloud.Â

How do I change the name in the iCloud account details in system preferences? For some reason it has picked up a wrong name and everytime I try to change it it does not memorise the change but keeps defaulting back to the wrong name. It therefore means that everytime I accept an invite for an appointment in Ical it shows the wrong name.

I'm currently running Snow Leopard on a MacBook Pro (Unibody). I am having an issue with System Preferences crashing when I try to change the desktop background.
I have tried deleting the following .plist files:
com.apple.desktop.plist
com.apple.systempreferences.plist
com.apple.screensaver.<random number>.plist
I created another admin account and it works fine.
When I startup in the morning, sometimes the preferences that I have set in the finder are changed or not loaded. IClock doesn't load the time and Date as I set it up. Also the view preferences are changed from Column to Icon.

I've recently installed Lion and moved to iCloud. I have iCal set up with iCloud and it syncs with my iPad.In the iCloud System Prefs Pane, which I'd not looked at before, I have Calendars ticked, but when I click on Sign Out, I get a message telling me: "If you stop using iCloud for Calendars and Reminders, calendars and reminders stored in iCloud will be removed from this Mac."This seems to me to indicate that the message generator can't see my tick next to Calendars. Or is it that one isn't meant to sign out in this Pref Pane.?

I just purchased a new macbook pro that is running OS 10.7.4. When trying to set up my iCloud acount through system preferences i got an error message saying "You can not login at this time, please try again later." Later, it still didn't work. I'm dual monitoring, and yesterday the screen on my actual MacBook went to the blue apple background instead of the BMW M Coupe I had as the background. Strange, but I didn't really care. Then today, I decide to change the background on the 21". I try and change it once and System Preferences crashes and I relaunch it. Now when I click on a new background it doesn't work and it spikes my CPU a bit. These wallpapers were downloaded off of a forum (downloaded each of them individually) and originally resided on my desktop (icons) but then I moved them to my HD. Thats when the problem started. Is my CPU supposed to spike when my HD is being used (searching for something in finder)?

Just upgraded to Lion on my desktop machine (iMac) and laptop (MacBook Pro). iCloud is working fine between my laptop and mobile devices (iPhone and iPad), but not with my desktop iMac. I don't know why but, I cannot change the option of scroll bar in General, System Preferences. Every time I turned it to "Automatically based on mouse or trackpad", it always changes back to "Always" the next time I launch the System Preferences.Â

I just bought an ipad and it had icloud and when I attach the ipad to the macbook pro (running lion; up to date) it is not even recognizing that it is attached. I want to put the icloud on the macbook pro because it is not on there. When I go to system preferences and look for the icon for icloud it is not there.
