I would like to add another color for the events in my calendar, but when I click on the drop box, it only shows me home and work with no "other" option, like I've seen other people talking about. How do I add a color?
I have an IPad2..I run a Windows under XP for work..My Exchange account at work is synchronised with Mail, iCal and Contacts...So i receive Mail without any problems, and my work calendar appears on my iCal. It works fine both mays. The problem is when I create an event directly on iCal, it does not show on iCloud, as when I create it on iCloud, it shows on iCal without any problem. And even tough it appears on iCal, when created by iCloud, it does not show on my work PC (I understand that it does not come directly from iCal so it's normal, I think, that it does not show at work). The exact same thing happens with contacts. So despite the fact that everything is under IOS 5 or Lion, and everything is selected regarding iCloud, absolutly nothing shows on iCloud, except my own adress in Contacts.
My ical is not syncing with my iPhone 4s. I had mobileme and upgraded to iCloud. I also have Mac Lion and feel like I have all the upgrades required, but any time I enter a new event in my iCal, it never transfers to my iPhone. Note: when I enter an event in my phone, it DOES transfer properly to my iCal on my Mac.
When I open my iCal on my Mac at work, and also on iCloud via the intertnet, I realized it's not synced up to my phone and items are missing. WiFi is on on the iPhone.† I can see what I input on desktop/icloud in the phone, but not what's input on the phone in desktop/icloud online.†It should all sync up automatically right? Also, how do you put music onto iCloud?
I've recently updated my MacBook Air to the Lion OS (10.7.3).  I've been frustrated over the fact that calendar events entered into iCal through my MacBook Air don't appear on my iPhone 4 (running iOS 5.1).  However, when I create a calendar event on my iPhone, it does appear in iCal on my MacBook Air.
I've got iCloud running on both devices and have Calendars turned on.  Both have the same iCloud account set up in the "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" setting.
Info: MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.3), iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1
I have three main apple products I need to sync. Macbook Pro iPhone Mac Tower (Pre Intel) running os 10.5.8
The macbook pro and the phone seem to be all hooked up nicely through icloud now, so no problems there.†However I run an old tower which I would love to keep in sync with everything else. The email still works though icloud, it appears. iCal and Address Book do not seem to sync up anymore, and I can't find a resolution anywhere.
I recently got a MacBook Pro after having an iPhone and iPad since last year.  I have iCloud set up on all devices to share calendar dates.  However, when I input an event on iCal on the MacBook everything is fine and the event shows up on my iPhone and iPad calendars, but when I input an appointment on my iPhone, it will not update to the iCal on MacBook.
I'm trying to use iCloud and the instructions tell me to go to the Apple icon>system preferences>iCloud.  This does not appear in my preferences.  MobileMe does but says it's no longer available and to use iCloud.  This is one big circle that gets me nowhere.
I have an iMac, Air and iPhone 4S, all up-to-date. I did my iCloud migration a few weeks ago. Everything seemed to work; I especially tested Calendar and verified that an event created on each device would appear on/disappear from the others. However, over the past few days I have realized that iCloud sync of Contacts/AddressBook is only working on the iPhone. Cards that I have created on the iMac and Air do not appear on the phone, but cards that I create on the iPhone do appear on the others.
After readng some similar questions here, I checkef SysPrefs on the Air, discovered MobileMe was still the default for AddressBook, changed it (in two places) to iCloud... and now have a complete set of duplicate entries in the Air, but still no sync up to iCloud. (I created new cards to check, and also checked iCloud.com to make sure the data is there. It is, no dupes ‚ÄĒ but also none of the cards I created on the Air before or after changing the default.)¬†
Whenever I try to use iCloud, many of my calendar entries, especially older ones, are replicated, and may be replicated multiple times. For instance, one repeated calendar entry is replicated about 20-25 times on each and every every day. Interestingly, this particular calendar event doesn't show up when I search for it.
I tried exporting my calendars as iCal files, then importing them back into iCal hoping this would correct any problems with the entries. No luck. When I activate iCloud for my calendars, I create multiple entries for many events.
When I switched to ICloud I thought my Apple ID and password would work for Apple store. It turns out they have a different Apple ID at the Apple store with a diferent password that I do not remember.  HOw can I make the ICloud Apple ID and password work for all other platforms?
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4), 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
Would u mind giving me a piece of advice?Currently i am seeking for an app that would show up on my desktop(and stay there) and show there tasks for today."Rainlendar" looks good but i didn't succeed in finding way for app to take info from iCal automaticly.
How would I go setting this up, so all my appointments from my phone could be synced into iCal? I'm afraid if I just set up calendar syncing, it will import the blank calender from iCal and erase all my appointments I already have on my iPhone.
I just purchased my first mac, a refurbished mid-2009 MacBook Pro after being a PC user my whole life. So far, the transfer has gone great, but I'm having one minor hiccup with iCal.
I use my iPhone's calendar quite heavily for my job. My phone's calendar is synced to a Google calendar. I'm trying to get the information in my iPhone calendar into iCal using iTunes, and am having no luck. If I add something into iCal on my computer, it syncs into my phone, but I can't get the information already on my phone to sync into iCal.
