I would like to add another color for the events in my calendar, but when I click on the drop box, it only shows me home and work with no "other" option, like I've seen other people talking about. How do I add a color?
View 1 RepliesWas trying to install Windows XP through BootCamp. The installation did not go through, and I quit it. After I tried to restart the computer however, it kept going to a black screen with a blinking _ on top.
I restarted, pressing the "option" key and the only partition that shows up there is one for Windows. I can't see one labeled "Mac" or something like it anywhere. I tried using the Repair Disk Utility but it won't actually give me the option to repair ir.
I have an HP printer and I can't use the scan option because it doesn't show up on my computer. ANd when I try it from the printer it gives me an error window.

I can barely see digital pictures and the likes. But websites and such i can see fine so long as the colors are light and looking on this site... [URL]
the first image i absolutely cannot see, it is 100% pitch black.. the other bellow it shows up just fine. But the two left/lowest squares on the color table on the very bottom the page both appear the same shade of pitch black.
I can see light but not dark. I tried callibrating and adjusting brightness and contrast.
I know this may sound a bit stupid, but i noticed whenever i see a picture of iCal or something, some dates and what not are colored ( see below ) yet my iCal is all white, i dont see options anywhere to set a certain color for a invent or anything?
I can change the text ( under get info ) but i cant have that whole date a certain color?
I cannot find a menu that lets me change the little colored dots next to a calendar.

So my problem with my Macbook Pro's pixels is many of them look blurry and are multiple colors almost like a rainbow. They also only show up on white backgrounds, not black. Some of them are in clusters and others are spread out. One of the clusters is very annoying and looks like a big blurry dot on my screen. I am hoping to take it in to the apple store and see what they can do about it because it seems like it is getting worse. I am assuming these are all dead pixels but I am not certain.

How can iCal show Week Numbers?
My macbook won't show the screen where you hold down the option key and it won't show the apple logo or the spinning gear just a blank white screen when I turn it on. I replaced the old hard drive with a brand new 500 gb 2.5 inch data hard drive.I also purchased a brand new copy of OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.when I put the disc in and power it on holding the option key nothing happens just a white screen with no apple logo or spinning gear.

I can't seem to access icloud on my mac. All my software is up to date. When i access support for icloud, it tells me to click on the icloud icon in my system preferences but that's not an option.

Yesterday I bought my first Mac (13 inch mid 2014 retina macbook pro). But now I have a question. When I want to watch a video on youtube, the highest quality I can choose is 720p. And I know these videos can be viewed in higher qualities (1080p or higher). Even on my girlfriends macbook pro (13 inch non retina) I can view these videos in 1080p. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an IPad2..I run a Windows under XP for work..My Exchange account at work is synchronised with Mail, iCal and Contacts...So i receive Mail without any problems, and my work calendar appears on my iCal. It works fine both mays.The problem is when I create an event directly on iCal, it does not show on iCloud, as when I create it on iCloud, it shows on iCal without any problem.And even tough it appears on iCal, when created by iCloud, it does not show on my work PC (I understand that it does not come directly from iCal so it's normal, I think, that it does not show at work).The exact same thing happens with contacts.So despite the fact that everything is under IOS 5 or Lion, and everything is selected regarding iCloud, absolutly nothing shows on iCloud, except my own adress in Contacts.

I have a Macbook running Tiger. I've been recently hipped to the fact that I can get certain option for lots of apps by pressing option+click when I open a program.
While this seemed to work fine for quite awhile it doesn't seem to be working at all now.
I understand that I need to completely close the program for it to work, but whether I close it with control+Q or by using the drag down menu, option+click doesn't bring up the desired options.
I installed a larger hard Drive (100 GB) on my Apple ibook G4. Everything went smoothly until I tried to reinstall the disks that came with my computer (OSX 10.3). I put in the first disk and it runs fine until it comes to the part on "where to install" and the options button is supposed to light up. It does not so I can not get any further.

I've tried downloading the update manually, but the updater doesn't work and tells me my version of the app must be updated through the App Store. (This is especially annoying because I transferred my Aperture Library to a MacBook which has a newer version of Aperture installed and it reformatted my library to a newer version. Now I've copied the library back to the MacBook but Aperture won't open the library because it's a requires the newer version of Aperture!)

during the system has been actualizing and power down i have close my macbook pro.Since these action the mac mail program and ical don't open. When i click on the icons they are jumping but dont open. system preferences is opening but the subfolders like network, dock, cds&DVDs and so on dosn't open. in the status bar there is shown for example loading network but nothing is going on.

I have an issue that, while it has a work-around, it would be nice to have a definitive answer to. I have always been able to enter accented characters on my OS X devices. For instance, on my iMac, when I press the the alt key and the e key together, I get the forward accent used to give this character: é. This is something I have always been able to do, until I got my MacBook Air.Â
Both the iMac and the MacBook Air are running the same version of OS X (10.7.4). The difference is, I think, that the MacBook Air came with OS X Lion already installed whilst my iMac had Snow Leopard and was then upgraded to Lion via the App Store. Did Apple stop allowing the use of the alt key to produce special characters and I am just missing seeing that support document somewhere? Or is there a switch somewhere that I can go flick that will allow me to do the same on the MacBook Air?

why doesnt ical add all of my google calendars on the same page.like in gmail, i have different calendars that all show up together on the same page..i see that they are there in ical when i click window. but the are not all see together on one page.

I reinstalled Tiger a few days ago, im running the latest version 10.4.11.Since the reinstall when I try to click the 'send file' option in the bluetooth menu, it just doesn't do anything.My bluetooth is working fine with my mouse, but doesn't even recognise that Ive clicked the option when I try to send file.Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhat's up with that? I just was using my brothers iMac and noticed his Magic Mouse felt a little different while web browsing.. I went into the System Preferences > Mouse and realized that he had enabled the check box of "Scrolling" and had it set to "WITH MOMENTUM".
So I figured out that was why mine felt different. I went into my System Preferences > Mouse and have the dialog box for "Scrolling" but I do not have the option to select "WITH MOMENTUM" or "WITHOUT MOMENTUM". I'm using a Macbook, and he has a new iMac. Both with Snow Leopard.. and I just ran a Software Update, and it says everything is Up To Date.
We have a Family MobileMe Pack and have an iMac with Snow Leopard. When I chose to move 2 accounts that the iMac uses to iCloud, I selected the option to "keep using your email after MobileMe ends" so that these accounts will still work on Mail for the iMac. Â
When I check the accounts under the Master account, these 2 accounts show (Remove Account) instead of (Migrated to iCloud) as is the case for my kids' accounts. Â Now I'm confused as to whether these 2 accounts are really migrated or not. And I'm not sure I can move the Master account to iCloud before these 2 accounts have been migrated. I've read I cannot manage any of the family accounts anymore once the Master account moves to iCloud. But time is running out.Â
