ICloud :: Unable To Access Mac.com Email Through It?
Apr 4, 2012
I have a mac.com account and I've just started having problems logging in and checking my in-box. The issue arose yesterday afternoon (3/4/12) and I'm currently unable to receive email from my mac.com account on my macbook, iPhone or through iCloud. This is what happens when I try to access my account on each device or application: When I try to access my email though the mail client on my macbook this message appears. "The iCloud IMAP server “p02-imap.mail.me.com” rejected the password for user “helenlryan1” Enter your password again or cancel. I enter my password and it is rejected. This has never happened before and now my account is 'offline" My account details are the same and I've not changed them. I migrated my MobileMe account over to iCould on 30 March and upgraded to Lion on 31 March.. When I open my mail account in iCloud a message appears telling me: 'There was a problem loading the application due to possible network error or missing resources. Please try again" I currently have no access to my email.
After updating to System 10.7.4, I can't access my iCloud email account on any of my devices (computer and iPhone 4S). The servers are not recognizing my email password, which is the same as my Apple ID password. I can log in to iCloud using Safari and access all of my other information (contacts, etc.), but not email. I tried going to Keychain Access and found that my old MobileMe password was correct (now my iCloud and Apple ID password), but the "application password" associated with my email account (which is now my iCloud email account) had been switched to a long string of nonsense. I tried changing that string to my actual apple ID password, but the system changed it back to the nonsense string.
I am unable to access links that are included in emails. I get an error message that says unable to access, then the site address, then No associated application could be found. when you sent a reply, I was unable to get the answer I am using Safari as my browser, this is a recent problem, a few days, the only thing that I have changed was to delete real player.
I am not able to download Mail in iCloud today (June 23, 2012). Down earlier. Backup after 2 hours. Worked for about 6 hours. Then down again now. Went to iCloud on the web. Was able to login but Mail is also not working on the web iCloud. Other apps are okay though.
I have migrated over to the iCloud and it's not June 30 yet anyway, so I don't understand why I am getting this message. I can access my email at url... You are my "system administrator" in this case..
Since upgrading to os x v 10.7.3 and moving from mobileme to iCloud as instructed, I am unable to send emails from an Imac connected to an older imac operating on osx 10.4 via wi-fi. Emails form this older box are succesful.
On my newer imac with osxv10.7.3, The email stays in outbox and sent folders with the spinner spinning next to the sent folder. It displays mail activity and outgoing messages...but does not change its staus.I am unable still here 1 hour later waiting for it to go.I have tried instructions from websiteConnection doctor - all green lights
I've deleted an unwanted email alias, waited the obligatory 7 days and attempted to create a new alias, which appears to progress until I get the info message 'Cannot save alias at this time'.
This is the third attempt over the past week.
Is it me......... or an icloud glitch? Either way how may I achieve what's required?
Am trying to get my MacBook on iCloud. I use a .mac account and the instructions say to do something from the " home screen "... Which is here? How do I find it?
am unable to send receive email into my me.com account on my macbook, I clear the messages from trash and deleted messages and they keep returning and filling my icloud storage limit.
I cannot receive mhy me.com email on Microsoft Outlook on my iMac. I keep getting the message, "Mail could not be received at this time. The server for account 'iCloud' returned the error 'Authentication failed.' Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?" Reentering the password seems to have no effect and the above message repeats itself.
Restored my HD this AM from a TM backup and am experiencing a lot of problems which include (1) Safari and iPhoto crash upon launch, (2) Mail launches but crashes when I attempt to access an email, (3) I have several "offline images" in my Aperture Library and any attempt to access metadata results in a crash.
I can't take Entourage (2008) any more - the constant garbling of the enormous single database file (and the database "repairs" which always seem to lose data) are driving me crazy.
Our institution is going to upgrade to Exchange 2007 (or perhaps 2010) in a few weeks, and I need to move to a more stable client. I'm running the latest 10.6. Can someone advise me: do I want Apple Mail, Thunderbird, or something else? My criteria are:
1) I need to be able to access Exchange email, Calendar, and Addressbook, but not necessarily with the same application. 2) I have a very large database of emails - 22 Gigs or so, and I need to be able to view and search them all. So, 3) which client will make migration from Entourage easiest? 4) which one is the most stable, so that this huge (and growing database) won't get corrupted? It's insane that one bad action can ruin the whole thing. Surely there are clients that store emails separately so that even if something gets damaged, the whole thing isn't munged.
I used to be able to access email fine, but now I can never retrieve email from it. I constantly get the icon with a triangle and an exclamation mark beside the mail boxes.
I followed all the instruction apple gave me to continue using my mobile me email. I worked find until 11AM today July 2. Now I cannot access any new mail or send any as the mail will not accept my password. Can I access my email through my Safari web browser? Is there any way at all I can access my email as apple did not give me any further instructions. I am using a G5 apple with the intel chip. This is very important as my emai is used for critical business items. My email address is xxxxxxx. You can also reach me at a friend's email address which is xxxxxxxx.
I have a ne wissued company mac notebook, also new to mac. I am at a hotel and cannot send out mail via the mac mail program. I do receive all my emails. The message I receive is the outgoing mail sever is offline. during my trip, I had a layover at an airport and received/sent emails without a problem. Something at my hotel put the outgoing mail server offline.
Info: Mac OS X (10.7.3), remote access to email server
How can I block other people from logging into my email or information on my computer?I believe Someone has access to my email account and information on my macbook . Any safety features to keep people from logging on to my email address?
