Jun 16, 2012I maintain several iCal calendars on my mac. I'd like to have some, but NOT all of them in iCloud. Is there any way to do this? Â
If I use System Preferences -> Mail, Contacts & Calendars -> iCloud and check Calendar, the system uploads ALL of my local calendars. I do not see an option to limit which calendars are uploaded. Â
I know that iCal can support a mix of local and iCloud-based calendars.Â

ICloud :: Cannot Upload A Local ICal Calendar
Mar 13, 2012I have encountered a problem with consolidating and migrating my calendars to iCloud. Previously I had been using MobileMe, but like a lot of iOS device users, I had made the mistake of also synching calendars and contacts locally. This had the effect of creating an "on my mac" calendar, which I did not realize for quite some time that I had been using.Â
In the process of migrating my MobileMe account to iCloud, I realized this and set about uploading the local calendar to iCloud. I used the following procedure:Â
1. Highlight the "on my mac" calendar and export it to an ics file.
2. From iCal, select File>Import and select the ics file I had just created
3. In the window that opens, selecting one of the iCloud calendars to import the events intoÂ
However, what I find is that the calendar hardly imports any of its hundreds of events. I rely on this calendar to keep track of events that I attended in the past, but it seems like no events in this local calendar prior to January 1, 2012 got imported into iCloud. I don't want to try and re-import it, since that might create duplicates of the events that have already succesfully imported.Â
Is iCloud not allowing me to import old events? Is there a way I can import the entire calendar to iCloud?Â

OS X Mavericks :: Can't Upload Contact Archive To ICloud
Nov 30, 2014Through a mistake I deleted all my Contact info from my 2010 i7 iMac (Yosemite) and iCloud.Â
Because my 2 iPads and 2 iPhones are connected to iCloud all the Contact info is gone, zero.Â
I have a recent Contact Archive of that info and would like to upload it to my iMac or iCloud.
When I attempt to do this on my iMac using the 'Import' feature the address info shows for a second and disappears.
I have checked Permissions using Disk Utility.Â
Can I use Time Machine in any way to solve this?
I do have one iPad that has the original Contact info still on it, can that be useful in restoring to iCloud or my iMac?Â

Only one shows the download options of PDF and Word and shows the first page of the Document in Pages.All the rest show a generic Pages icon on the face of the document and only the option to download as a Pages Document. Jul 2, 2012i got a macbook pro back in july of 2009.i have recently updated it so it is now running on lion.i have turned on icloud and i am trying to put some of my pages documents into icloud.i go onto icloud.com and i click on iworks.i only have 2 options: learn more and something that says download pages for ios.i tried to manually drag documents onto the screen. it starts to download.
