I want to keep my pages documents in the cloud to access and update them from different computers (i don't write on my iPhone or iPad). For some reason this doesn't seem intuitive, and I can't figure it out... Everything I read about this just talks about moving from a desktop to iOS devices, which I don't care about. I have Pages 09 on OSX10.7.4.

I've only have a Macbook Pro running Lion--no iphone or ipad. I've made the movedfrom MobileMe to iCloud. Mail, Contacts, and Calender have uploaded and are there, but the iWork icon sends me to a page that says, "To get started, launch Pages on your iOS device and turn on iCloud." I don't have an iOS device and don't plan on getting one. Can I still get my pages docs from my macbook pro to the iCloud?

i got a macbook pro back in july of 2009.i have recently updated it so it is now running on lion.i have turned on icloud and i am trying to put some of my pages documents into icloud.i go onto icloud.com and i click on iworks.i only have 2 options: learn more and something that says download pages for ios.i tried to manually drag documents onto the screen. it starts to download.

Having just moved from Snow Leopard to Lion, i reinstalled iWork 08 and tried to carry on work..... . But after the reinstalls, the text in ALL .pages documents doesn't show anymore. I can highlight it and I can see it - but no amount of fiddling with text colour or background colour does the trick. Funnily enough, I can print the documents without any problems.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently made the move from a PC to a Mac, and so far, everything gone very smoothly. I got iWork with my Mac, and there is one problem that's bugging me; every time I open a word (docx) document in pages, it asks me if I want to keep the changes or discard them, and that is for when I am just reading them. When I edit them, and I go to save it, it keeps bringing up the save as box instead of overwriting the present docx file.
I've already installed any missing fonts I have in my documents. So, to summarize, my two main problems are: If I read a docx file, Pages acts like I made changes to it, despite the fact that I did not. If I edit a docx file, Pages keeps bringing up the save as dialog box when I try to save, instead of overwriting the original docx file. The same thing happens with Numbers and Keynote. I just need a temporary fix 'til I can get a hold of Office 2011.
When I look the iCloud icon account under system preferences the account shows my name but when I open up "account details" the name field has my wife's name. i have dited this in the detils page but as soon as I log out of system preferences and log back in the name field reverts to my wife's name. This is causing issues with alerts set up in iCal being directed to the wron email address.How can I permanently edit the account name in the details tab of the iCloud section?

I've succesfully drug some Pages Documents into iCloud on my iMac. Only one shows the download options of PDF and Word and shows the first page of the Document in Pages.All the rest show a generic Pages icon on the face of the document and only the option to download as a Pages Document. I've got a number of Pages documents on iCloud, and all of a sudden, none of them can be opened from Pages (5.2.2) on my MacBook Pro. They all appear, but they either say "zero bytes" or there is just a gray line. If I select any document, the "Open" button remains gray. I CAN open all docs on my iPad, and I can also open them using the iCloud web interface. Meanwhlie, Calendar is syncing new events to all devices without problem, in all directions, so it can't be a problem with the account.Â

After the last Pages, Keynote and Numbers update my iCloud documents cannot be accessed anymore.There is no iCloud "storage" under open documents anymore.All my documents are still in the cloud (can access them on icloud.com) but they are not visible in the apps.

On my iMac and MacBookPro I cannot save .pages documents to iCloud iWork. They appear on the iWork screen, but I cannot retrieve them.
However, from my iPad it is no problem!. After editing in iPad and save the documents to iCloud back it is possible to download these on my iMac or MacBookPro without problem.
