I have my macbook, iphone, and (new) imac all setup as icloud accounts for email. All email is coming through just fine on each device. However on the new imac messages which have been "read" on the iphone or on the macbook are still showing up as unread in mail on the imac.

I uploaded a few documents on to my iCloud drive from my Mac 1. I can see them from My Mac 1 and from iCloud.com but cannot from my other Macs.
Documents were uploaded in the morning and am checking at night, still no signs. Is there a access or sync issue for showing documents across all your devices ?

I've been running all of my emails through my iPhone since it was released. Just recently I picked up a new Mac Mini as a work machine, and I set up Mail to handle all of the same accounts as my phone, with the thinking being that I can read and respond to messages when I'm at the computer, and when I step away, be able to read the remaining emails on my iPhone.
What my problem is, however, that both my Gmail and Hotmail accounts don't seem to "sync" properly between the phone and the computer, meaning that mail that I've read or deleted in Mail on the Mac Mini don't show up as being read or deleted on the iPhone, and vice versa.
I don't want to have to delete a message on my phone if I've already taken care of it in Mail.
I just converted a few of my Bluehost-hosted email accounts from POP to IMAP. These accounts and Apple Mail, itself, is on my hard drive (not in iCloud). For some reason, after about five minutes of sitting untouched in my Yosemite Apple Mail inbox, emails sent to these three addresses appear to be "read." The blue dots disappear, even though I haven't clicked on them. Seriously, they haven't been touched. That's not true of the email accounts I have with two other providers (CoreComm and GoDaddy) that I left as POP accounts. They stay marked as unread until I actually click on them. What could be causing this to happen?

I have an iMac, a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 4s. All of theme are running the latest OS & iOS.
My MacBook and iPhone seem to be sycing Mail and iCal fairly well. I can't seem to figure out why my iMac won't join the party.
I think I have all of the settings turned on correctly in Preferences. I am using a Gmail account, Hotmail account and iCloud account in that order.Â

Wondering if anyone else was having any weird issues with their iCloud and unread count in the Mail app on their mac running lion? I can't seem to get rid of a phantom unread message. My iCloud account is fairly new so I don't have that many messages to go through so I know there is not an unread message any where.

I switched back to Mac Mail after using Gmail for a while... but I have like 10 email accounts, all their own IMAP setups. I just added them all to my desktop Mac last night.Â
I'd like them (and all mail rules, etc) to also show up on my iPhone and my iPad and my Mac Air. This used to be doable with MobileMe.
Is there any way to do this now? Best I can tell, unless I'm missing something, iCloud only syncs the iCloud mail account itself.Â

I tought that the problem was with my specific usb device, but i'v already tried with the 2 USB ports and with several usb devices. Everytime I insert a USB device into my computer, a screen appears saying that i need to turn off my computer and that i need to click on the power button for several seconds to do so. This has become pretty annoying since i can not transfer files nor make any backup on my computer because everytime i insert a usb (external hard drive or simple usb device) the screen appears and i don't know what to do. Does anybody know the reason why this is happening or a solution for this problem?

But everything works fine on my windows partition on bootcamp,its able to read and write every usb device..i have the latest version of snow leopard 10.6.8 problem is only on mac osx partition ive checked disk utility and "about this mac>more info> USB,nothng shows up i did that NVram reset with commandoptPR but nothing can fix the usb problem!!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just switched from Snow leopard to Lion and i don't like the way that Lion has the mail preview set up as a 3 column vertical format. I thought in Snow Leopard you could change the set-up so it's either horizontal or vertical, but I can't seem to find that option in Lion. I want to have the list of my email messages in the top, horizontal window and the preview of the selected message in a horizontal window below. Am I missing this option to change the view format from vertical to horizontal somewhere?

I'm not sure what the culprit is because the night I downloaded the last update of 10.5.8, the circuit for this room also blew. I don't know if it interrupted the download or not, as I wasn't paying attention. However, the next morning I woke up to the gray screen and it never booted. I finally was able to boot it up and the hard drive had a name like kjkldfjkjdkljafkjadkj. I renamed the hard drive and ran disk utilities on it. It needed to be repaired, so I installed the installation CD and used disk utilities from it. It says everything is fine. However, the hard drive now does not show up under Devices when using Finder. Also, everything seems to be a lot more sluggish now.

Using an iMac 2011 with Mavericks 10.9.4. Been having issues with the Mail client leaving mail that has been read in the 'unread' smart box. The account is an IMAP, and I have done the empty the whole thing and start over routine, and that works. However I don't want to keep having to do this over and over, since some of my boxes are large.Â
is there something that I need to do on the other end of the IMAP, since the email is on a domain I own, not gmail or yahoo.

For some reason iCloud has decided that my account is no longer verified. None of my Mac computers or iOS devices are able to log on the the iCloud account. When trying to access the iCloud settings on my Mac I get the message that the account is not verified and that I should follow the instructions in the email sent to me. I have not received any email. No matter how many times I click the "resend confirmation" button I still am not getting the email containing instructions on how to reconfirm my account.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the past, I could put an appointment on one computer and it would sync immediately with my 2 laptops, iPhone, and iPad. This is the reason I loved Mobile Me and paid for it for years. iCloud work fine for awhile, but now some of my appointments are not syncing. I have checked all of the settings and they are correct. I put an important appointment on my main laptop last night and it is not on any of the other devices; I then put it on my iPhone and it is not on my iMac at work. All of my software is up to date and current. I really depend on this feature.
