Since yesterday all of my incoming iCloud emails on my iMac are blank, and I'm not receiving new mails. I have a header, but there is no message content. Mail coming through on my iPhone/iPad seems to be OK.

Recently upgraded to Yosemite. Multiple times a day, I get the 'ding' that tells me that I have email, and see the little notification appear in the upper right corner of my screen. Then when I go to Mail to check the email... nothing. Not in Junk, Trash, Inbox, or anywhere. A few times I have managed to see who the email was from, and did a search, and it turned up nothing. the messages are not visible in my phone, on iCloud, or on my laptop. I am worried that important messages are disappearing before I can read them. I've rebuilt my mailbox to no avail. If I didn't hear the ding and see the notification appear, I would never even know I was receiving mail. Its not all messages, most get through, but it seems to be happening more and more, I have over 12 gb of storage on iCloud, so that isn't the issue.

The number 1 over the mail icon comes up to show I have a new mail, but upon clicking into mail to see it, who it is from and the subject line is there, but it takes 20-30 seconds for the mail to download. This is happening across all email accounts, coming from a mixture of imap and pop accounts. I've also noticed in my activity monitor that my amount of free system memory is very low (dropping to under 50 meg when I have things open). If I install more system memory, do you think this will solve the email problem.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI had a Mobileme account and have changed over to iCloud. In the last three days when receiving mail my accounts have gone offline on two different computers. I can still access them by signing into iCloud, but not from the mail application. I went to accounts and the "incoming mail server" is blank. I have tried creating a new account with "imap.mail.me.com" , but it still did not connect. Has something changed at iCloud?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo imac with 3GB memory running OS 10.5.8. I've been using mac mail at home, work and on the move for years and have only ever had a couple of minor problems with it. However last Friday, after using it normally in the office, I went out, leaving the machine to sleep. When I came back my mail wouldn't download past message number 7 and it said there were 400+ emails to download when it should have been maximum 10. I tried to shut down mail but every time I tried to shut it down it wouldn't shut down.
I had to 'force quit' even though 'force quit' didn't say 'not responding' alongside mail. When I reopened mail the number of 'new' messages dropped to only 170 odd, but still I can't get past the 10th email and the download speed goes to zero. Also I can't delete some existing messages in my inbox. They go light grey but don't delete. I am able to use mail as normal on my home mac which uses mail with the same account settings as my office mac. I can also access my emails via my iPhone and webmail.
I have yahoo and earthlink emails, does anyone know how I can get them to sound when I receive mail?

The account that I am receiving duplicate emails was set up last night. I am leaving the emails on the server, if that has any bearing. I am running OS 10.6.2.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust recently I have noticed that the number of emails that the count says is higher than I actually receive. For example it will say "1 of 21" but then I will only have 15 to read.
I have tried looking at the settings etc and even counting the Apple message section it still does not equate to the number it say are "incoming".

I have a @me email address and have also two email aliases connected to it. Now all mail is downloaded in one inbox (of the main @me mail address). I would like to have that email from the alias addresses is marked as that (or maybe put in a colour) or is in another inbox folder.

How do I rename my Incoming Mail server (Mail version 4.5, Snow Leopard) so that it points to iCloud. It is grayed out and when I click on 'edit email aliases' in the mail preference account information, it sends me to Mobile Me login. Outgoing server lets me make the changes.

Everytime I open mail (v.5.2) on my Mac (OSX 10.7.3) I am prompted that the "iCloud has rejected the password for p01-imap.mail.me.com."Â The incoming mail server is set at p01-imap.mail.me.com....and I can't change it, it's greyed out in Preferences - Account Information. I upgraded my iMac to Lion recently. Currently running OSX 10.7.3.
I suddenly am unable to have my .Mac email delivered to the Mail application on my iMac, yet my .Mac emails are delivered to my iPhone without any issues and I can also access them via logging-in to my iCloud account using an internet browser. I have moved my accounts to iCloud and continue to use Apple Mail; incoming mail does not download and in the preferences the incoming mail server is grayed out and will not allow me to change it. I followed the directions to remove the account and manually re-enter it, but still the same problem.

A weird thing is happening with Mail.app. I'm on a PPC Mac with 10.4.11. Every time I go to a folder other than Inbox and then return to the Inbox there is a couple of emails threaded together with the subject line: Fwd: Delivery Notice Status (Failure) If I click on one of these emails, the email is blank including no headers showing up at all. Again, the emails only appear if I go to another mailbox folder and return to the Inbox. They do not appear if I stay in the Inbox.

I am losing random incoming emails in my .mac email address. I first discovered it last week when my wife was getting emails that I was copied on that I never got. Checked inbox, trash, junk, iCloud and never could find them. Then today, just by chance, I had to verify a link via that email address. When the verification is sent, I see it hit the inbox with the new email counter and then it immediately disappears. I have disabled all my Apple Mail rules and Smart Mailboxes. As I mentioned, I have checked everywhere I could think of that it might be going.

I have a Macbook Pro with Lion installed. I bought an external Disc or hard drive LaCIe (1 Terabite) to keep and backup all my Itunes purchases (TV series). It is the second time a suddenly loose all the content of the disc. I am now for the third time downloading everything again and this takes forever! What am I doing wrong to save the content for good? Does this have something to do with the cloud?

Why not have Apple move all iDisk contents automatically or by request to iCloud? Why do I need to copy and paste my saved iDisk items back to my MAC or storage device? The iDisk items are already located in an Apple server, so transfer them to iCloud.
