Software :: Something Out There So That I Can Easily Save The Pictures / Entire Albums?
Oct 15, 2009
Is there an plugin or something out there so that I can easily save the pictures / entire albums from facebook to my harddrive?with safari, not firefox
When I right click to save a picture online, it doesn't give me the opportunity to save something as a JPEG. I instead have to save it as a preview and then export it to JPEG. This seems like something relatively new.
I have a client who likes to have her desktop background picture change every 5 seconds. This is easy to set up. I go to System Preferences and pick the choices accordingly. The pictures are selected from an iPhoto album. This works fine except when you add more pictures to that album.
I can't figure out the exact sequence needed to get it to pick up the new pictures. If you look soon after you add them to the album in iPhoto you won't see them in the little thumbnails in the System Preferences panel - you'll only see the thumbnails of the pics you had before.
After fiddling with it a bit I can get the new pictures to show up and display on the desktop as needed. But, not sure what fiddling I did to make it happen.
It may have been a log-off and log-on that was needed. Maybe a reboot is required. I need to know so I can instruct the user on how to do it herself.
I finally bit the bullet on a new i7 15" MBP today to replace my dying 3.5 year old MB. I want to transfer my music and pictures from MB and also preserve my playlists and photo albums. I currently have a TimeCapsule as well. My current MB is "faulty" so I don't really want to copy over the drive per se, just the music / pictures. What's the easiest that I can do this? Sorry, I've never done this before and in the past I've just used an external HD and copied over the music/pic files but I lost the playlist/albums. It's over 3 years of work to redo, so to speak, and I want to see if there was an easier way to do this.
My 2.5 year old (wired) mighty mouse gave up the ghost recently, and I just replaced it with a new one today.
The thing is... it doesn't seem to scroll "down" as easily as it scrolls "up" and "left to right". (as it is right now, I have to apply a lot more pressure to scroll down than I do to scroll up or laterally)
Is there an adjustment I can make to get this thing to scroll "down" as easily and freely as it does "up"?Has anyone else had this sort of issue, or is it just me? Ok, Thanks.
i have 4 hard drives in my mac and want to find all the pictures,or jpegs, and put them all in one folder.i can find them searching with finder but it want let me save them all to one folder.am i asking for something that cant be done or is there software that may let me do it.probably 400,000 pictures and not all in iphoto .
I am new to Macs. This is my first week. I read a post stating to save photos from your browser, you can click and drag them..I also read another method which also failed. What I am wondering is:I see a photo of myself on my Flickr page.I want to save the photo to my hard drive. How do I do that?I have a new White Polycarb MacBook 13 inch with Snow Leopard.
Whats going on? I just copied over everything via migration assisstant on this new install of osx. But my pictures folder was empty - i must have somehow not copied it initially, and now I can't even save to it.
Also, I can't even seem to set an internet picture to my desktop...I click the set to desktop when the mini computer screen and image comes up, but nothing changes.
This is an admin account, i changed read and write permissions to everyone on the my pictures folder.
Why won't my computer let me save anything (pictures/documents) from the internet. It tells me I need to save as a .webarchive and then says it cannot be exported. What can I do?
I want to copy all my i photo pictures for the last 12 months i have saved and save them on to an external hard drive, i have tries to copy and paste all at once but it only will let me do one picture at a time!!
Does iCloud save pictures shared from other devices to my hard drive? When I look for a picture on my hard drive, it's not there. When I go to copy the picture from iCloud to iPhoto, a pop up box asks me if I want to duplicate this picture or not. I don't want duplicates on my hard drive, but I don't mind having duplicates on the iCloud and the hard drive, combined.
Is there a way to get pictures that are part of the library on my iphone on to my macbook. I find it completely unbelievable that Apple has purposely made it impossible to be able to get 4 YEARS OF PICTURES off my Iphone and back onto my computer.
Is there an app that lets me disconnect/connect Leopard from my DSL quickly and easily, maybe from the desktop? Is this the only OS in existence that doesn't allow for this? Previous Macs had Internet Disconnect; on my PC I can do it with 2 clicks. I know i can reconfigure each time in Sys Prefs, but what a pain.
Has anyone gotten a dent on their new MBA?It seems to me like thin aluminum might be a bad material choice since it will dent instead of flex like plastic does. So just wondering on the toughness of it.
I have several folders backed up on an external firewire drive that is not always connected. Is there software or a way within OS X or Automator, etc. to easily synchronize the folder on my PowerBook with the one on the external drive without re-rewriting the entire folder and subfolders?
I want to run some terminal commands fairly often... yet I don't want to have to type them. I just switched from windows, so I need some help as to how to do this.
In windows I would've just used a batch file to run command prompt commands. I need something that will let me just run it and it will automatically run the commands.
just got a 2nd ATI 3870 for my Mac Pro 2008. THe fan is just as loud or slightly louder than the 1st one. *ugh*. So I downloaded smcFanControl 2.2.2 to see if I can up the fan settings to cool the machine down to hopefully slow lower the fans on the 3870's.
I just bought a clear speck case for the MBA. I noticed that the case weighs a little bit and when the top cover is on, at a certain angle, it closes the MBA due to the sheer weight.
Over time, will this loosen the hinge?
On another point, how the **** do you get the top cover off easily? I scratched the cover with a credit card the first time around! The thing is almost impossible to pry off!
On windows, when you open a photo within a folder, you have the options to scroll through that entire folder just by clicking the right or left arrow key. Is there any way to do this on a Mac? It's a pain having to click on every photo, close it and open the next one, just to see all the photos in one folder.
Info: MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), iOS 8.1.1
I want to work out how to easily delete photos in aperture. I'm talking the crap ones that I have imported (either from camera or an unedited folder) and want to get rid of entirely (not versions). It seems ridiculously cumbersome, with 3 clicks needed.
I'm ex-windows and I could just scroll through and delete, happy as Larry.
