Mar 6, 2010I've been able to burn CD's for music and pictures and all of a sudden I'm getting a message when I click "burn" after I've pulled the pictures I want to burn and the message is saying "Insert Blank Disc to begin" then below it is says "This disc will burn the contents of the burn folder. You will need a disc with the capacity of at least 106.1 MB. It's a blank CD so I'm not certain why it won't burn.

Jun 6, 2012Basically my question is exactly that. I am a new to mac user, and have got a new mac air. Whilst in the store setting up our new mac the people in the shop told us that we could only have 1 icloud account per user, and therefore my wife and i should set up separte user accounts. Great. However, we both want to be able to access all of our photos and our music library. I have been into the sharing folders, but i must be doing somthing wrong, because as my wife turns on iphoto in her user account, she cannot access any of our photos.

I don't really care about the music because I have many iPods to use.
That got me to thinking though - can I simply drag files to my phone from my iMac?
If that works, then maybe I could use Automator to set up a schedule to backup some of my more important stuff, then I can take it with me.

Jul 19, 2009Whats going on? I just copied over everything via migration assisstant on this new install of osx. But my pictures folder was empty - i must have somehow not copied it initially, and now I can't even save to it.
Also, I can't even seem to set an internet picture to my desktop...I click the set to desktop when the mini computer screen and image comes up, but nothing changes.
This is an admin account, i changed read and write permissions to everyone on the my pictures folder.

May 11, 2010I finally bit the bullet on a new i7 15" MBP today to replace my dying 3.5 year old MB. I want to transfer my music and pictures from MB and also preserve my playlists and photo albums. I currently have a TimeCapsule as well. My current MB is "faulty" so I don't really want to copy over the drive per se, just the music / pictures. What's the easiest that I can do this? Sorry, I've never done this before and in the past I've just used an external HD and copied over the music/pic files but I lost the playlist/albums. It's over 3 years of work to redo, so to speak, and I want to see if there was an easier way to do this.
