OS X V10.7 Lion :: My IMovie Constantly Crashes
Jul 5, 2012I have had my Mac Book Pro in and out of the apple store about 5 times now. iMovie will crash CONSTANTLY!!! They replaced the RAM and Logicboard which fixed the problem for about a week. I cannot seem to figure out how to delete the iMovie preferences. Cant fint the com.apple.iMovieApp.plist file anywhere trust me, its not on my computer. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled iMovie. The scrubbing in the editing will stop working and the video will freeze and it crashes 100% of the time when previewing the project in fullscreen. I have sent literally 1000 crash reports to apple which I find useless because nobody has any record of them, not the Apple store, not Apple support, not Steve Jobs.

Mar 20, 2012I recently installed Lion from a download. I was able to open iMovie three times to realize none of my previous movies showed up. Now, a week later, iMove crashes upon starting it. I do not have a disk to reload from, and the update manager tells me I am up to date on all my software.

May 7, 2012I can't get the iMovie to import photos from iPhoto without crashing just a few minutes into loading. Anyone know what I should do besides restart my computer (that doesn't help the problem).

Software :: IMovie Crashes - No Screen Or Error Message Shown
Aug 3, 2008I can't launch iMovie '08. When I try to run the app, the icon appears on the dock, but no screen or message error is shown. It just hangs, and I must do "force quit". This only happens with my user, as I've tested with other users on the same machine and iMovie seems to be running OK. I've cleaned my user cache in order to solve any problem with that, but it didn't work at all. I have installed the last actualization (iMovie 7.1.4). I doesn't seem to be an interference with iPhoto, as other users have experienced, since I've deleted com.apple.iPhoto.plist and the problem still persists.

Mar 31, 2010I transferred a file from my iMovie 09 folder and saved on a flash drive to open it up on a different Mac to edit it. However it wouldn't open up.. I tried opening from the stick on the originating computer and it opened, but when I tried on the other Mac, it wouldn't open.
What am I doing wrong?

May 21, 2009I have been working on a file for days, and my Mac crashed. How do I open the file from IMovie? I have been backing it up to an external drive and I'm not able to open that one either. I've deleted the preference file, but that didn't help.

May 16, 2012iTunes 10.6.1 crashes on my iMac (10.7.3, 4 GB) whenever I try to open, play or interact in any way with Audible books. This is new in the last 2-3 weeks.
I have tried (Command) O, drag n drop, double click on file and "add to library". Every time it crashes. I have sent reports to Apple. I can add the files to iTunes Library, but they never open in iTunes without crashing it.
Everything in my Audible account looks appropriate so I don't think it's that end?
Anyone with similar issues? Or, better, a solution? I am going to try backing up and re-downloading the app, I think.

Jun 21, 2012Ok. iMovie will ONLY save in MPEG4. Got it. Why won't the files open in a browser when trying to upload? (Even if the format is accepted) The files stay dim, as in not able to select. I've exported to YT, Vimeo, iCNN, all that is fine. I've saved the files in differernt areas - other than iTunes. iMovie help is absolutely no help at all.

With the upgrade to 10.6.1 the control panel now says "loading Security (32 bit" but will not open the Security control panel. All other control panels icons work on my duel 2.93 Mac Pro.

Final Cut Pro X :: Crashes When Try To Open Library (containing 10 Projects And Events)
Sep 4, 2014I am unable to open a FCPX library (containing at least 10 projects and events).
Final Cut attempts to load the events and projects in the library but after about 5 minutes the program shuts down and I get an Apple message giving me the option to report the problem.
All other libraries appear to work fine. I am guessing that the last project created within the affected library is corrupt.
I have tried removing the render files in that last project and I have copied the library to another drive and neither worked.

Dec 14, 2010about 2 months ago i bought a sony dsc-hx5v.its a nice camera but..... when connecting to my mac Iphoto opens automatically like its supposed to but Imovie i have to manually open. Recently IMOVIE will not open the card and import any files. I am running the right version of imovie and my computer sees the stick on my desktop. i can open the stick manually and see files but i cant do anything with them. once i tried to reformat the stick in the camera and it worked ONCE. i have never had a problem with my previous sony products but this is just stupid. any ideas?
