Software :: Uninstalling Apple Support And Updates Possible?

Dec 23, 2010

I operate Windows xp on Gigabyte Motherboard, Intel Dual Core Processor. I want to uninstall the following software from my computer:
1. Apple Application support v 1.3.2 - 44.50MB
2. Apple Mobile Device Support v 3.2.0.47 - 20.13 MB
3. Apple Software update v 2.1.2.120 - 2.26 MB
4. Bonjour - 1.10 MB

These software show up on my Revo Uninstaller Pro. When I try to uninstall (e.g. Bonjour) a Windows Installer box appears which reads: "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" with two buttons 'OK' and 'Cancel' after this line. Below this, another paragraph says: "Click 'OK' to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Bonjour.msi' in the box below". Below, is a box titled "Use source:" In front of it is a button 'Browse'.

MacBook :: Uninstalling / Reinstalling Firefox - What About Updates

Sep 14, 2010

I have noticed that Firefox has been doing some weird things, random stuff that I don't even really understand how to even explain it. I am wondering if it is beneficial to just start over with Firefox....meaning, how do I completely uninstall and reinstall it? I have read that even when you do an uninstall process, that it keeps things on your hard drive. Can anyone explain (remember, novice terminology please) how to go about getting anything & everything related to Firefox OFF of my computer, then just reinstall it?? Also, on a somewhat unrelated note....when browsers get updates and we install them, am I supposed to go and uninstall the previous version? i.e.: new updates for Safari, iTunes, Firefox, iPhoto....anything?

MacBook :: Apple Firmware Updates Integrated With OS Install?

Sep 6, 2009

I have a late 2008 aluminium macbook, recently "clean" installed snow leopard, everything cool apart from the recurring issue with adobe acrobat pro 9 64bit pdf printer driver, anyway. How do I know whether or not I have the apple firmware updates from this site [URL]. Is there any way of checking or have they just be integrated with the snow leopard install. Also is it still ok the drive makes a noise when you either turn the macbook on and / or when the macbook comes out of sleep. Apple fixed this with a firmware update for the imac and etc, has there been one for the Macbook?

Safari :: Capturing Apple Support Videos?

Feb 13, 2012

I am trying to transition my father to OSX on a new iMac. I've tried several times to get him to commit to getting Internet but he is just not going to. However it would be useful to get the tutorial videos on Apple's Support pages for him to follow as he learns, iWork in particular, but other tasks as well. I've shown them to him in the AppleStore and he seems to like them as a method of instruction. Apple however has changed its method of streaming the video, I can't download them anymore using QuickTime and you can't access them via the Safari > Activity menu either. Why Apple is making it hard to get something they seem to want us to have, seems strange to me. How do you download the tutorials? I'd like to put them on a Flassh Drive for Dad to use at home.

Software :: Apple Posts New IPhone SDK - Final Cut Server - Pro App Updates

Jun 26, 2008

Apple on Thursday evening released a new version of its iPhone developer kit that also mentions a test version of iTunes 7.7, AppleInsider has learned. Also, updates have been released for Final Cut Server and the Pro Application Support framework. iPhone SDK Beta 8

Those familiar with Apple's third-party iPhone development software say that Beta 8 alludes to a special, pre-release version of the iTunes 7.7 jukebox software necessary to load a matching new version of the iPhone 2.0 firmware on the device itself, suggesting that Apple is nearing the point at which it will let developers test third-party software and the App Store in real-world conditions.

This iTunes release hasn't yet been seeded along with the new SDK, according to the people familiar with the revision. Appropriately, the SDK suite itself is said to be focused almost exclusively on bug fixes rather than introducing new features...................

Hardware :: Mac OS X 10.6.2 To Have Native Support For Apple's Magic Mouse

Oct 21, 2009

Native support for Apple's new multi-touch Magic Mouse will require the unreleased Mac OS X 10.6.2 or later, the new hardware's user manual states. Apple's new mouse works with both hardware and software to sense finger position, gestures with fingers, momentum of movements, and more. According to the Magic Mouse manual, the hardware will require Mac OS X 10.6.2 or later. Those on Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later can install the Wireless Mouse Software update 1.0 to obtain the same features. The new Magic Mouse, when purchased separately, has a wait time of 5 to 7 business days. That would imply that the release of Mac OS X 10.6.2, the latest build of Snow Leopard, could be released very soon. Over the past few weeks, three betas of Mac OS X 10.6.2 have been sent to developers. The most recent build addressed a glitch that sometimes deleted user data when logging in and out of a guest account.

The latest build also fixed a number of GraphicsDrivers issues, including a problem where 1080p content played with QuickTime Player X could stutter. That could prove important for owners of the new iMac models, which have 16:9 aspect ratio displays. The new 21.5-inch iMac has a 1920-by-1080 native 1080p display, while the 27-inch iMac exceeds that with a 2560-by-1440 pixel LED-backlit screen. The Magic Mouse manual explains how to understand the hardware's indicator light, pairing of the bluetooth device with a new Mac, replacing the batteries, cleaning, and use of the mouse.
