How do I change my email address in Apple support?
I have gone to:
Edit profile
But am unable to change the email address there?
I guess I have to create a new profile?

Through the years I've clicked this, over and over: "If you prefer not to receive commercial email from Apple, or if you've changed your email address, please click here." I'm trying to detect a pattern. I suspect that every time our family buys a new apple product we are hit with advertisements. I recently bought a new iPod Touch. I wonder if this is why the offer from apple to leave me alone fails, over and over.

When I got my Mac, I added two email addresses (both Gmail server but different "@ portions" i.e. @gmail.com and @___.org). I've deleted the @___.org email because it didn't matter whether I sent it from one email or the other, they both end up in sent items of mny @___.org email. So even replies from my [URL] address gets sent to the other email.I've deleted the other email and I'm pretty sure I didn't link the two accounts on Gmail so I'm not sure what's happening.

Apple ID and Primary Email Address are locked and cannot be edited... I accidentally clicked "make my apple ID and Primary Email address one" and now I cannot edit it. I don't use my @mac account and am not receiving any notifications. How can I change my primary email address back to an address I actually check?

My iMessage recently stopped working. When I attempt to log back in it tells me "your apple ID (email address) cannot be used to set up imessage at this time" then gives me a code to share with Apple support. (See screen shot).

I want to change my Apple ID to the email address which happens to be my back up email address at the moment. But it won't let me change my Apple ID to that becuase of the fact that it is my back up email. However I can't find any way to change my back up email to something else.

I want to change my primary e-mail address that I use with Apple ID - says Select Edit next to “Apple ID and Primary Email Address.” But there is no 'edit' on that section there is on every other but not that one.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to setup mail on Lion Sever (7.3). The only way I can get it to accept incoming mail is to specify the whole FQDN of the server in the address. For example the domain name is example.com and I have a user set up called john. Sending mail to john@server.example.com works.
But sending mail to john@example.com (which is what I want) returns an error:
554 554 5.7.1 <john@example.com>: Relay access denied (state 13).
For internal DNS, I have:
example.com - primary zonemail.expample.com - alias server.example.comserver.example.com - 192.168.1.2 [URL] - alias server.example.comMX record [URL]
I see references here to problems in mail on 7.3 but not this specific problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI must be missing something very obvious, but I can't seem to set Address Book to add all new contact info as "Work" entries.I have to edit every new entry and change all the fields from "other" to "work." This appears to happen when I "grab" phone or email info from an email message.

Gmail is my default email client. I'm trying to send an email blast to my groups in address book. When I right click on a group, and click "send to...", none of the email address show up in the TO field, only the name of the Group appears.Previously, I used mac mail and clicking "send to" group would result in all email addresses going right where they're supposed to go.I don't know how I changed the client to Gmail, but if I can't get it to work, I'd like to switch it back.

I am looking to connect wirelessly to two external displays (TV's). I am wondering if I need to purchase a Apple TV for each display from my Macbook Pro, or can Apple TV support multiple external displays. Also, do i absolutely need airparrot when looking to extend my desktop to these displays?

Using a G4 IBOOK with OS 10.5.8. Recently converted IBOOK from just my wifes computer to both of us so it is now dual usuage with both of us signing in to our respective files/e-mail, etc. My side has a problem never experienced before. My apple mail system address book has all the names the dock address book does but is missing almost 2/3rd of the actual e-mail addressess. I have tried to redo the dock address book in hopes it would change the "internal" mail book, but to no avail. It id difficult to add a recipient to an outgoing e-mail via the dock address instead of the apple mail address book.

View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have any tips for getting higher up into apple for support. I've been trying to get my unibody polycarbonate macbook repaired. The hinges are cracking and the rubberized bottom is starting to curl. Spent almost 40 minutes on the phone this morning which was mostly about explaining that the macbook DOES have a rubberized bottom and not little feet. How can i get some support from someone who isn't a moron?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a unibody macbook connect to Apple LED cinema display, and using VIsta to play Blu-Ray disc using FastMac external Slim drive and PowerDVD, but cannot play content due to HDCP non-compliant display. I have heard so many people said LED can support HDCP through DisplayPort, but appear to be not the case. Using AnyDVD HD can by-pass this, but that is really not the ideal solution for me. Anyone can get Blu-ray to play on Vista on a LED display?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy wifes new macbook has had a few weird things happen, including 2 kernel panics right out of the box. She puts in the restore discs, reboots holding D and gets to the AHT screen. Selects the language then gets the that message, "apple hardware test does not support this machine"
View 6 Replies View RelatedI even sneak around about it, but still I'm a Mac Addict. The cravings are worse every time there's a new Keynote Address from Apple, new press releases or the WWDC and I feel it starting. So as I type this on my 1st Gen 13" Alum MacBook with my white 3G iPhone next to me I can't help but wonder... Is the 3G S that much faster or the screen on the new 13" MacBook Pro that much brighter? I just want to hold it... Focus, focus... try not get distracted.

I can't even find the library folder under users>username either. Where do I find the proper folder to restore from time machine?
