View 2 RepliesFor the longest time I was using an older version of FF, I think the 1st version of 3.5 so I could use this Google Notebook add-on that was support at the time....with this version I was using Google Gears which allowed Gmail offline use (alongside Google Docs offline & Google Reader offline) ..but since updating to the latest FF 3.6 it tells me Google Gears isn't supported, therefore not including Gmail offline use and the others.
I've been using Apple's Mail with my Gmail account, and its not that I don't like Apple's Mail, it's just i've been so accustomed to Gmail's experience.
How can I get this back? I need to be able to access Gmail offline...I love the starring system, labels, and their threaded conversations function.
Purchased 2 movies in the itunes store and both Movies will NOT play on my mac. error message: "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes." Itunes v10.6.1(7) iMac 27-inch, Mid 2010 OS: OS X 10.7.3 Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

I'm currently using the Firefox 3.5 Beta4 version and it's a damn memory hog. It uses 600MB after a half an hour of browsing unless I restart it. Is this normal, or is there something wrong with my computer?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI still have my older Mac OsXv10.4 Tiger software. I wasn't exactly happy with Safari browser as it would block many sites and were considered incompatible so I downloaded the free Firefox browser (the 2.0 version) of which I still have. I'm aware that there is a much newer version and would like to download that, but I've heard a lot of people saying they have been having severe problems with it, but then they have PCs and not Macs. So my question is for you Mac users that use Firefox, have you had major problems with the newer version? I'm real hesitant to download if I'm going to have the same problem PC users are having...like constantly crashing. Also would my old Tiger software be compatible? I don't want to upgrade to Leopard.

I love osx leopard with just a few exceptions. I hate the ugly gray menu and title bar colors.
I found a utility to change the menu bar color (LeoColorBar) and was able to change the menu bar color to match my firefox theme, (Aeon Clouds 2.9.1).
It would be great to change the firefox title bar as well. Do you know of any utility or terminal command that would make this possible? I use the latest version of firefox, 3.0.3.
How do I update pluggins on firefox with the right version?

It seems like every other version of Firefox is not capable of displaying PDFs. I went to the Firefox website and found many others looking for a solution but no answers. Because people at this site are so much smarter, I thought I would ask here. I tried this, no joy.[URL]..

In order to install Windows 7 via bootcamp, do you have to use the full version of windows or can you use the upgrade disc to install? I figured I should ask before buying another license as I have an upgrade version of Windows 7 Pro that I don't use. I do own previous versions of Windows (all of them....just like I do Mac OS).

I don't like Firefox 11 one bit and am yearning for 3.6. I read online to drag firefox 11 to trash and that, of course did nothing to actually uninstall. I then dowloaded 3.6 and 'installed' that, restarted but still firefox 11 lives on in my computer.

after a lot of testing we have managed to clear everything around the topic of flashing stock PC X1900XT/512Mb (256Mb is NOT working!!) with MacPro EFI ROM. Thank you all guys at Strangedogs! It WORKS prefectlly! Ofcourse flashing card with MacPro EFI rom reenders card useless in regular PC, you have to flash it back with original bios to make it work in PC again. View 24 Replies View RelatedHas anyone tested this scenario? Since PC versions of the 3870 are cheaper than the PC+Mac version, I was wondering if I'd be able to crossfire the PC+Mac version, and a regular PC version. (Obviously I'd only be looking to run Crossfire on the Windows side.) Would this setup cause problems with either the OS X or Windows side? BTW, I've got the 2008 Mac Pro with 2 PCI-E x16 slots.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI just bought my wife a new Al MacBook and need to migrate her Treo 700p from her old Windows machine to the new Mac. I used to use Palm Desktop for Mac and know it is a little quirky and may have some issues with Leopard, so I'm trying to decide whether I should go down that path or just install Fusion and run the windows version in a VM. Anybody have any recommendations either way? She uses Palm Desktop only for syncing, so I don't need to worry about the Leopard iSync issues.

I just wanted to play around with Windows 7, not cause any serious issues, and just, you know, try it out; not do any serious testing. For my purposes, do you think Im better off downloaded the 64-bit of 32-bit version? And which computer will handle windows 7 better?
