I am wondering how to get this game to run, I am using a virtual machine but when i open a folder that has the files they show as doc files. I also have a .sit file but it won't open currently.

It looks like it installs, but I can't figure out how to play it? I was using it with my windows Vista partition and bootcamp, but I got a virus in windows and it totally won't even boot anymore. I am itching to play TR but I don't have the windows disc with me to reinstall it. Does anyone know if it is possible to run it using Crossover?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a used late 2009 MacBook & Mac Mini HTPC loaded with apps/programs and this is my first run with Macs. The previous owner didn't restore them at my request as part of the deal, all of the software discs and serial numbers went with his other MacBook when he sold it and if I restore I will lose everything but iwork and snow leopard, I can't afford to buy new and don't want illegitimate copies of CS5 Master collection and tons of others that can't be updated. I have spent two days attempting to remove his what seem to be thousands of files, docs, etc and seem to be getting nowhere and don't want to accidentally remove any operating components either. Is it possible to delete the user that installed all this software to wipe out his info/files without losing the software itself? He is the only user besides "guests", "staff" and "everyone else", I renamed it once but it seems to revert when I go to another app?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm soon to acquire a used 17" iMac G5 for our daughter who's been using my 20" Intel (running OS 10.5.8) for the past couple years. She has several game applications with lots of play time invested, all saved for her next session. What is the procedure to entirely copy and/or export all these game files (notably SPORE) from my computer onto hers with no loss of data or saved places? My intent is to copy any and all game files I can find onto DVD's or CD's and copy THEM onto the G5 desktop or HD, and when they're safely installed, trash all that's on my computer, bogging it down. Will this work? We're out in the sticks, no way to experiment with this, hence my question not wanting a very irate daughter on my hands if it fails.

I run Microsoft Office on my MacBook Pro. I routinely "print" Word documents to .pdf files. My conversions to .pdf are now resulting in two .pdf documents rather than one multipage document. For example, a two page Word document about puppies would be converted Puppies and Puppies.2 rather than just one 2-page .pdf file. A 14-page file just also saved as two separate .pdf files; the first was only one page, and the second contained the other 13 pages. This is a new problem as of tonight; I've never previously had any difficulty. It's quite frustrating, and I can't seem to determine the cause.

i just bought the game Spore and i am having troubles with it. 1st after i download the cd an update pops up for the game back to back to back to etc. and its the same update. Then when i run the game everything works fine (the begining cut scenes) but when the game is about to start it cuts off and an error popup comes up.

For budgeting, I've created a fairly advanced cash flow sheet on Google Spreadsheet. It gives me a quick glance at my month-to-month finances, and also, because it is Google Docs, I can make changes from anywhere with an internet connection and a web browser! Beyond that, my wife and I can view the document at the same time, and discuss changes in real-time.
But why is Google Docs so slow on my mac? At work, on my PC, Google Docs is quite fast, and an enjoy to use. At home, on my 5 year old iMac (using Firefox since Safari is not supported). I know my connection at home is faster, so that is not the issue, and up until a few days ago I assumed it was because my mac was so old. However, this weekend I went home and looked up my finances on my brother's brand new 24" 2.4Ghz iMac, and the same symptoms held true. Is the site not optimized for Macs?
The temptation to buy a Mac Pro is, for me, almost irresistible. Now currently I have a MBP which I carry to and from the office each day (can't bare to work on the PCs in the office) and it has about 3Gb of docs, both personal and work related.
I'll want to have those docs on both the MP & MBP and I'll want them in sync. What's the best way to keep those docs in sync? I'd also be curious to hear how people deal with keep their iTunes library in sync across two machines.
I've had a pen tablet for some time but never really used it and now I need to sign some docs here and there. How do I do so with Word or is there another way?

Mail, Contacts, and Calender have uploaded and are there, but the iWork icon sends me to a page that says, "To get started, launch Pages on your iOS device and turn on iCloud." I don't have an iOS device and don't plan on getting one. Can I still get my pages docs from my macbook pro to the iCloud?

I am using a Mac OSX 10.5.8 - my problem is that I had a number of important docs located on the dock in Stacks and today they are gone. I do not know how they disappeared or where they are, and they aren't in Finder where the original documents should be/were located. It replaced the folder in Stacks with a "?" icon instead of the first file. I have tried to go back in time using Time Machine, but restoring old data (Documents and Library) hasn't found those missing docs. Any suggestions on where to find my docs? I am confused as to how they could have totally disappeared from my desktop, hard drive, and backup.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn a Google text doc, there is a problem with line spacing such that all the lines in the doc are stacked up on the first line making it unreadable and unusable. I've had this problem with the last few releases of Safari but the problem has just become worse.
If I click anywhere in the body of the doc I get: Google Docs error

In addition, I have various Pages and Keynote documents in the "Documents" folder. However, it does not show a preview of a Pages or Keynote document as it did before. It just shows a Pages logo on a Pages document and a Keynote logo on a Keynote document. What's going on?
