Software :: InDesign CS2 No Longer Working After Acrobat Update?
Mar 18, 2010
I have a Intel Macintosh 2.33 Intel Core 2 Duo
It is running System 10.4.1
I own Adobe Creative Suite 2cs premium with Acrobat professional 8
Adobe updater automatically updated Acrobat and since that happened, my InDesign and Illustrator is not working. When I launch Illustrator it just hangs, and when Iaunch InDesign it asks me to "Personalize my copy" but will not allow me to put my serial number in.
I found cpsid_53468 on the adobe website and downloaded a disk image, followed the directions and installed it in my root library folder, as they described. I have tried this many times, and my software is still not working.
I called the support line, and they tell me that this is not supported anymore.
If this is the case, why is Adobe automatically updating Acrobat 8?
I called them and they told me they are not supporting CS2 any longer.
I have a 17" unibody MBP (most current version) with 10.6.4, and I downloaded the recent firmware updates for the MBP's. Before I did this, the mini port to HDMI video/audio output was working perfectly, I could watch anything right off my MBP. After installing the updates, when I plug in the cable, my MBP flickers, goes blue, and then comes back, but the TV does not detect the signal from the laptop. In the Display and Sound menus in System Preferences, there's no option to set up a second display like there was before.
A colleague of mine has a Mac G5 with OS 10.5.8 and Adobe InDesign CS5 installed which has suddenly stopped working. On top of that she can't drag or drop items either. She didn't have this issue yesterday. She didn't install anything new or added any new hardware.
When opening a PDF in Acrobat x Pro the programme crashes, ever since I did a software update at the end of March 2012.I have also been having problems with emailing PDFs, with emails disappearing or getting corrupted.Seems worse if I have Firefox open at the same time.
Working on an iMac 24in Intel that was working fine until my upgrade to Leopard. I originally had issues printing to my Phaser 7700 with the initial upgrade from Tiger to Leopard - but I was able to find an suitable workaround.
Now with the 10.5.7 update I cannot print AT ALL and tried everything from resetting the print queue to reinstalling the drivers. I have tried to print to some of the other printers in the office and I keep coming up with the same error: GenericClass: waiting for device Connecting.
I get the error, The application could not be downloaded. The installation could not be started. However, my internet connection is fine. I tried deleting my safari, iTunes and app store caches to no effect.
Quicklook has stopped workingon my MacBook Pro OS 10.6.8. Pressing the space bar on a file yields nothing. Is there a way to update or reset it so it starts working again?
Info: MacBook Pro (17-inch Mid 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
After installing the new update I no longer have sound either through the the speakers or the headphone jack. I know it works because I was using it right before the update. The speaker also sounds after the post bios.

This morning, On my Macbook Pro, I was able to use the option-tab shortcut to cycle through windows within an application. This afternoon, when I do the same keystroke, I just get a tab character. Or I cycle through the links on a website. The option key is working, as I can use other keyboard shortcuts. I even plugged in an external keyboard and it is responding to the option key. But the shortcut option-tab appears to no longer be working.
I have the fear that I accidentally pressed some weird key combination without realizing it that remaps the key for accessibility purposes. I've looked around the system preferences and I can't see anything that would reassign the combo. Does anyone have an idea of what happened?
I've been using a 6870 in my Mac Pro 1,1 for over 6 months now with virtually no issues (some minor artifacting a few times). Earlier this week, the Mac Pro would no longer display any video. Display works fine, as I've tested it with a Mini. I tried connecting a different display to the Mac Pro, still no video. I've tried removing RAM, resetting SMC, PRAM, etc....
The Mac Pro chimes, boots up fine, keyboard responds. Only issue I can find is with the lack of video. I tested it with another brand new 6870, and still no video. I thought perhaps I downloaded some kind of Apple update that affected the 6870 working with it?BTW, I've also tried booting from a drive with Snow Leopard as well as powering on with no drives installed to see if I could get the flashing folder.Still no video of any kind.
After updating, seems that my iSight camera no longer functions. In iChat, the user on the other end had no video from me, nor did I have a preview. In Photo Booth I get nothing but a black screen. The green LED indicator still functions as if the camera was on, but no image at all. I tried zapping the PRAM and resetting the SMU or PMU as well, but with no luck. It acts as if it's functioning properly with the light activating and system profiler recognizes the iSight cam in USB devices.
It all stopped working immediately after the update. The PC is set to map a drive to the share it authenticates as <mac name>/<user name>; yet the password, which worked perfectly pre update, is now rejected.
After recent update I can no longer open my iphoto. (Pop-up window states that it is trying to update, that older versions iphoto will no longer be readable with older versions)After 2 hours of waiting for it to upgrade still no response. What do I do to be able to view iphoto library?
Info: MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.4), I have an older version of iphoto
So I use an external USB harddrive with my airport to backup my computer. The harddrive is 250gb and the computer is 250gb (with about 40gb free space) - previously this worked for backing up just fine...then one day it stopped and started telling me it required "251.46gb" but the drive only has "249.05"...why if I'm at only about 210gb of actual space being used?
So I reformatted the drive and tried again - same error...anyway to make this work again...seems so odd that it was always fine and then just quit one day.
So I bought a MBP i7 in May and I love it, Never had any issues with it at all. But I never used the DVD drive once until today. I wanted to rip a DVD with MacTheRipper. It didnt work. Rips fine on my new Mid 2010 Mac Mini...
So I tried to play the DVD with the DVD player app... just get a solid black screen... VLC, nothing.
My DVD player on my Imac is not longer working...I put a disk in of some video and it stopped responding and then would not eject...I rebooted and held down the eject key and eventually got it out..but the DVD player no longer works...
I have the following script that worked just fine last year, but since upgrading the OS it no longer works as it should. First it only scales and save the first image file of a batch to the 'Photos' folder and does not scale and save any to the 'Thumbs' folder.
I finally grudgingly installed Lion and have had NOTHING but problems ever since! Now my CS 4 apps won't open. I get the message Your license is no longer working - error 150:30 Apple support could not help me. I went to Adobe support online and tried all the fixes they list none of which work.
Info: iMac (24-inch Early 2009), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
macbook pro charger is not working? I have tried other chargers on my macbook pro ,but no luck. so im not sure if it is the charger the the computer it's self.
A few days ago my macbook pro stopped getting iMessages. Interestingly I still get SMS from all of my non-apple friends. I have checked to make sure everything looks right, logged into iCloud account, etc. Double checked on my iPhone as well. My iPad and iPhone still communicate with each other and receive all messages. Running most current OS on all three devices.
"Photoshop CS" and "Acrobat 6.0 Standard" suddenly stopped working in my iMac, apparently after I upgraded it to MacOS 10.6.8 (the latest version of Snow Leopard). Both programs had worked normally until that OS upgrade. I deleted Photoshop CS and tried to re-install it from the original CD, but the installation never proceeds because I get an error message entitled: "Install Adobe Photoshop CS quit unexpectedly". This is the full error message:
Software Update ran yesterday and I installed the AirPort Utility update (version 5.5.2), and now my MBP no longer connects to my home network when the SSID broadcast is disabled. When I enable the broadcast the network shows up in the list of available networks and I can connect to it, then I can disable it again and the MBP stays connected. But if it's disabled to begin with it won't connect.
I never had this problem before the update, and no other devices on the network are having any issues. Has anyone else had this problem yet, or know of a fix?
Late 2008 unibody Macbook Pro running 10.6.5, all software is up-to-date except for the latest update to iTunes.
Title is pretty self-explanatory. I have a year old 15" MBP (unibody, but not the absolute newest) and after the trackpad software update the click button on the bottom third of the trackpad no longer does anything. I tried to disable tapping and to my horror I could not tap or click or do anything until I plugged in a USB mouse and turned tapping back on - so the issue was worse than I thought.
I don't have any third party gesture software or anything crazy like that. Sorry if this has already been brought up - didn't see it in my first couple searches.
