Does Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 come in a MAC version?
If it doesn't what is the point of buying the Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Production Premium bundle?
Of course, I think more people would rather use Final Cut Studio 2, like me, and really the only reason I'd get the Production Premium Suite is for Flash, After Effects and Photoshop.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having constant kernel panics when using my 2011 iMac (OS X 10.7.4), they seem to happen primarily when using Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 and happen from about 5 minutes of using the program to about 30. Even if I am not using adobe though the kernel panic still happens after about 30 minutes. I uninstalled Adobe and all seemed fine, so I attempted to reinstall it, but part way through the process it kernel panic's again. I was wondering if it could be when I am doing stuff on system intensive programs, so I tried running a game of Civ V, and that didn't seem to have any problems.

I am getting an alert from Firefox that I need to install a Flash Player update. It gives me a link to the free Flash 10 download from Adobe. That's lovely of them, except that Flash 10 is only compatible with OX 10.4 & higher. I have 10.3.9. All the old links I can find for Flash 9 seem to have been updated to Flash 10.

if there was another program available for mac that preformed a similar function to that of Adobe Indesign CS3? I have heard of a program called Swift Publisher, but that does not seem to suit my needs fully. Pages also seems to be a tad too simple for what I intend it to be. So, to restate, is there a program which performs a similar function to that of Adobe Indesign?

I've tried downloading the latest version of Adoobe Reader, an although it seems to download, I can't find it.
How do I deal with PDF files on a MacPro?
Does this app even work with the iMac?I tested by importing mts files from my video camera. On the second r third clip it always either kernel panics or the screen goes black and makes noise. This is a 2009 i7 2.8 with 8gb RAM. Just for kicks I tried same thing on my 2010 i3 iMac. It freaks out also but is different. I get snow. Guess that's why it's called snow leopard. Anyway I'm going to revert back to 10.6.4 and see what happens.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my MBP to 8GB RAM in order to have a more smooth workflow running Premiere and MPlayerX for Video editing. After I watched several clips with MPLayerX and started to import them into Premiere and start to edit them, I can see on Activity Monitor, that the 8GB RAM are nearly fully used and the computer starts to go very slow. In Premiere you can choose to use only up to 6GB of RAM and leave the rest for other applications. I did that obviously, but nothing has changed. It cannot be true that 8GB is not enough to run the system. I have to admit that I am working with quiet high Bitrates HD footage (AVCHD files around 40Mbps), but thats not even top of the range. So, to live with that for now I have always to quit MPlayerX or Premiere or even restart the computer to free my RAM again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't do much with tape anymore but a client has provided me with some HDV tape that i want to edit as ProRes in Premiere Pro.
I don't have a third party capture card so therefore in Premiere Pro I am limited to capturing only as HDV from tape.
I'm thinking of capturing as ProRes in FCP 7 (which I had done for ages before switching to Premiere in the wake of FCP X) and then importing the subsequent ProRes files into Premiere from the capture folder.
Someone edited a sequence for me in Premiere. The audio was recorded 4 channel on a external recorder (four mics were used). At times, he used the wrong channel in the timeline. I believe what he did was take all the channel one audio and put it on the timeline and deleted the other 3 channels. Hence In many cases, using the wrong mic.IS there a way to swap channels in the timeline? I would almost need to do a reconnect, but swap channels at the same time. I use FCP and will convert this to a FCP sequence using 7toX.

I am going to be purchasing Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium (Photoshop, Acrobat, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc) shortly but want to make sure I have enough horsepower to be able to run it. Ideally, I'd like to have this on my laptop so the program can be portable, but at the same time I don't want to be hauling around 10 pounds of equipment with me.
So I'm looking at the MacBook pro 13" and am wondering if the 2.53 GHz, 4 GB of memory, and the 250 GB drive is enough power to be able to run CS4. I like the idea of a 13" as it's lighter to carry around, but when I look at the 15" version it looks like I can get a bit more processor and drive space, but more importantly it looks like the graphics are a bit better as well. I'm just trying to ascertain whether the graphics card on the 13" version will be an inhibiting factor to using CS4 Design Premium.
I've been having a few issues with "Adobe AIR Application installer" hogging my CPU all the time.
I was wondering if anyone could give an insight in to what it's doing, why it's doing it and how to stop it regularly occurring. I keep noticing it using iStat Menus, and quitting the process but it keeps coming around!

It will not be my primary machine as I have a custom built i7 Win7 rig so I will be using it when I want to use mac software and when I'm out and about. The 17" is ruled out because of portability and cost and so is the i7 15" becasue of cost. I'm not sure if I should get the 13" 2.4, 13 2.66 or the 15 i5. I'm a web designer so I will be using most of adobe CS5 (Dw,Ps,Ai mainly). Will the resolution on the 13" be good enough? Will I notice a difference between the 2.66 and the 2.4?

So, it seems that it is in fact possible to get a virus/trojan on a Mac, I am using Sophos Anti Virus as I noticed my iMac is running way slow. It's a fairly new machine with 8GB RAM and 2 TB HD so should be fine. Turns out several copies of Troj/PDFJs-ON (files are report.zip, report.pdf. One was removed by Sophos, the other needs to be removed manually. However, according to Adobe, the fix is a patch to the Adobe Reader, but I don't use or have Adobe Reader. I do have other Adobe products. What can I do?

Problem: When I try to view a slide show or do a full screen view all I get is a grey screen, pictures do not display. The Radeon HD3870 Mac & PC edition meets Adobe's specs for Photoshop and Bridge CS4. Adobe has tested the 3870 with Windows but not with OS X.

the vidio card has 512 MB of VRAM
I'm running OS X 10.5.5
The driver that is installed is the original from the disk. I could not find an updated driver on ATI's site or Apples site.
My system info shows two listings for the HD 3870, both in slot 1. The first has display for type and yes for driver installed. The second lists ATY, MegaledonParent as type and no for driver installed.

When I installed Illustrator CS3 at the first time, I didn't complete it and closed it. While I installed it again, it said "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3". I was be stopped on this step, so I deleted the Illustrator CS3 from Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers without clicking it to uninstall.
And I deleted other Illustrator CS3 files. After that, I tried to reinstall Illustrator CS3 again, but it kept to say "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3". I cannot find any Illustrator in my MAC. What is wrong? How can I install Illustrator again? Should I format the computer and install all the applications again?
I have a Dual G5 PowerPC with OSX Panther running. The machine runs like a champ for what I do with it. I would like to upgrade to the newest Adobe CS4 because I still use the first/original Creative Suite. BUT, is CS4 at all compatible with OSX Panther, or will I need to upgrade OSX? Also does anyone suggest upgrading to OSX Leopard from Panther; anything to be careful of. I am also concerned about Leopard's compatibilty with my current peripherals (few years old scanner, printer, drawing tablet) The primary use of this machine is for Graphic design, flash, web, and photo proccessing.
