Afterwards, I started worrying about it and checked on the web and found out there is a virus going around posing as Adobe Flash. I am running Snow Leopard. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am poised to make the change from PC to Mac. However, I have a decision to make. I am currently running a 3ghz QUAD core, 8gb RAM with Windows Vista. The system runs well (yes, even though it is Windows) but I wish to move to Mac and ditch the Windows world. I plan to use Logic Pro so need a Mac. I have 2 x 24" monitors that set me back 700�. I was thinking to keep those and perhaps buy a Mini Mac. The mini Mac can support 2x displays.
My big question is this: If I went for the 2.66Ghz Intel Duo Core Mini Mac with 8gb RAM, would this tun Logic Pro without any problems? Would it also run software like Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / Premiere without hanging or being very slow? Who has a mini Mac and currently has these softwares installed? Please advise? Should I simply sell everything and go for an iMac?

I have tried to install the adobe flash player they recommend for Lion and it will not install. I then read a post from Klaus 1 who gave the links and said to install adobe shockwave which I did and it worked for about 1 hour then it disappeared.

I recently recieved the Flash Player Ugrade notice on my MacBook Pro rinning Lion and I accepted it and began the upgrade. Right in the middle of the upgrade, my nac crashed and I had to power down reboot. From that point on, the upgrade will not install and only gives a "installed failed". I went to the Adobe site and used the uninstall tool for flash, still gives error on install of any version of flash.

A few weeks ago, I uninstalled Adobe flash player because I thought it was causing some problems. I'm trying to install it again, but as soon as it starts the installation process, it gets pauses at "Retrieving Install" and hangs at zero. After five minutes or so, it says "Error has been encountered. Close this window and try downloading again.

i downloaded adobe10 as prompted to do so. when i try and install it the folloing happens.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMessed up big time: Ran Clean Sweep and it found THOUSANDS of EMPTY folders so I deleted them for a gain of amost 14K (whoopie). NOW NONE of the ADOBE software will OPEN. PhotoShop, After Effects, Dreamweaver (yes, I know they are old but they worked just fine till I deleted empty folders) Oh and a writing program called POWER STRUCTURE which was never an Adobe product (as far as I knew) also stopped working.
I get the "Can not open" report window on the above mentioned items. The Apple programs work fine: FCP, Motion, Sound Track, DVD Pro, iTunes all work. Screenwriter still works but the Adobe stuff-Nothing.
I use TIME MACHINE on a more than weekly basices. I went back to the end of March (before I ran CLEAN SWEEP) and tried to RESTORE. Got a little wondow that tells me:“Applications” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by Mac OS X. So I can't RESTORE from the Time Machine.
I ran Disk Utility and Repaired Premmissions Rebooted, draged the Adobe folders to the trash and tried to reinstall from disk. I get the same "failed to open report window" when I try to run INSTALL. IN THE TRASH I tried to click on the deleted empty folders one at a time and the PUT BACK menu item is ghosted so I don't know what to put where. So what can I do besides reinstalling MAC OS? I'm running 10.6.8.
