I'm using Garage Band 09, I need to know how you change the tempo of individual tracks in a songwriting project, not a whole song. I have recorded an acoustic instrument, and vocals but when I try and put a apple prerecorded drum track behind the song it doesn't fit; So I need to change the tempo of the drum beat to match the song, I have tried all the different preloaded tracks but none of them fit, I need to speed up the tempo of the individual track, not the whole song.
I want to remove all my music from itunes and save each song as individual files on an external hardrive (not as the itunes library file) is this possible or do i need to re record all my CDs individually?
I have iTunes 11 and I've checked the box to allow me to sync only checked tracks under options. However, when I click on an album, no check boxes appear.
I have imported a cd into iTunes. A couple of the songs are medleys and the cd divided them into individual tracks. Is there a way to link songs together so they always play together in order of the medley?
In Leopard, when I try the good old Get Info Copy + Paste method of changing individual icons (for applications or select folders) it doesn't work. Instead, the icon will be changed to an image icon saying "ICNS". This worked in Tiger, why not Leopard?
I want all of the songs in a playlist to have the equalizer set to "Dance". I find changing each song individally to be time consuming and tedious. Is there a way to do it all at once.. like Command-A does for selecting all in other applications?
I cannot set the tempo in my Garageband '09. When I choose "Project" in the LCD display, half the program stops working and the Project window don't show up. I check the console and found the following messages:
Quote: 19/04/2009 17:03:17 GarageBand[39082] GarageBand: *** -[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: attempt to insert nil value (key: NSFont)
Anyway, back in my darker Winamp using days (I used Winamp a long time after getting an iPod because I was convinced iTunes was the devil), I had a little plugin called Pacemaker. It provided simple sliding controls to vary the pitch and speed of an mp3. For some reason I really like slowing down guitar solo's, just a quirk of mine. Anyway, I scoured Versiontracker and found nothing. My question is; Is there a plugin for iTunes that allows control over pitch and tempo?
I just got logic pro and i don't know much. So i recorded my guitar with logic and i found some drums in the library. Now the thing i want to know is how to speed down the tempo of a selected loop from the library. I have never found a clear answer for this question so if you know it please post it here.
I have multiple users on my home network. This network is also hooked into my media server and home entertainment system using MediaLink. I'd like to set the user accounts to log out after 'X' time of inactivity. However, I would also like to ensure the Admin account (which manages the media server) never logs out and runs in the background. If I go to: System Preferences>Security>General>Logout after _ mins of inactivity It creates a global setting for all accounts. I've tried under individual accounts and the Administrator account and the setting creates a Logout command for all accounts. Is there a way to have just certain accounts log out after _ mins of inactivity?
I've downloaded a Linux Distro known as a Live DVD in ISO format. I want to burn this to a DVD for future use but would like to change what is in the ISO before burning. There are several files that I would like included so I won't have to have a second CD/DVD later.
DiskImageMounter does a great job of opening the ISO but it is readonly. If I copy the files to a directory, make my changes and then burn the DVD, the disk isn't bootable. And I am at a loss about how to continue. Can I burn individual files to a DVD and specify that the DVD will be bootable? Is there a software tool that will take the individual files and folders, and make a new ISO file that would be bootable?
I guess you can see where I am going. When I google for it, I find results for creating a backup of the Leopard install DVD.
In Mavericks when I get mail from the same email address it groups it all under one option so I sometimes miss the mail. How can I get it so that each message is individual and not grouped into a folder under one email address?
In Firefox>Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks I want to move/reorder the folders, moving one folder in particular upwards, but I can't drag it up and can't find a way to move it up. Individual URL links can be reordered by dragging them up or down.
my sister is going overseas and wants all of her box sets of TV shows on her lappy as she is going to study and needs a way to keep her self entertained, me being the nice guy i am with a mac pro, thought i would do it on my machine... Which leads me to the issue: How do i get handbrake to save each disc as individual chapter divx's? i have 30 DVD's of 5eps to get sorted in around 24hrs :O
I ripped a few movies from my personal DVD collection onto my MBP to watch on the road during a recent business trip. When I got home, I went to delete them by putting them in the trash. It worked, or so I thought. The folders containing the movie disappeared from my desktop, but the 6 or 7 gigs of space that they took up were still on my HD (I have the status readout below my HD icon on my desktop and it was unchanged after I trashed the movie). After some research I learned that trashing the file doesn't actually take it off the HD, that I'd have to empty my trash bin to get rid of it permanently. But like many of you, I don't want to completely empty my trash. Is there a way to permanently get rid of individual files/folders? I saw a few ideas. I saw a program called permanent eraser. I also saw where someone suggested using Terminal and some rf commands.
With the ability to keep movies/tv shows in the folder where all the iTunes media is stored, what's the purpose of the individual music and movies folders in OS X? I'm trying to organize my media and would like to find out what the best way to do this is (right now I just have all my files in my iTunes media directory).
I was just looking for a definitive answer on whether or not it is possible to remove individual keys on a uMBP without opening it up and dissecting the innards. I have one key (delete) that I'd like to pop off to clean.
I imported my photo collection into iPhoto. I wanted to know if there was a way I could make changes i.e. enhance function on the photos and then do a "save as" to another individual file as opposed to saving it in the main, big iphoto file. I couldn't find a way to do that through iPhoto.
my cat ripped off half the keys on my keyboard and some of them I could get back on but 4 of them I am not able to fix myself and I'm wondering if I take it to Apple if they can just replace the keys (obviously they are still working they just need the top back on) and how much it will roughly cost
Is there a way to back up individual movies/tv series in iTunes? I've ripped a lot of my dvds to itunes to watch on my iphone. My macbook HD is really starting to get full. Can I just do a TM backup, and then just delete whole tv series? And then, can I individually restore them from the TM backup? If so, how? Does this make sense?
Is there a way to delete selected attachments from Mac Mail without deleting ALL of them? I often want to keep the image files of an email, but delete documents. The only thing I can find is the Remove Attachments menu command, which removes everything.
