my sister is going overseas and wants all of her box sets of TV shows on her lappy as she is going to study and needs a way to keep her self entertained, me being the nice guy i am with a mac pro, thought i would do it on my machine... Which leads me to the issue: How do i get handbrake to save each disc as individual chapter divx's? i have 30 DVD's of 5eps to get sorted in around 24hrs :O
I am transferring my DVDs to my MBP using Handbrake. A lot of my DVDs have been recordings from my dvd player (like football matches etc ) so they have chapters which is a pain. Is there a way I can remove the chapters so I just have one movie/TV file only.
Oh one last thing?? is it normally slow?
I want to remove all my music from itunes and save each song as individual files on an external hardrive (not as the itunes library file) is this possible or do i need to re record all my CDs individually?

I just ripped some TV episodes from DVDs I have with Handbrake, only to realize that the episodes don�t have chapters. This means that since the �Create Chapter Markers� or whatever button was checked, I still get a chapters button, with only one chapter. I wish I�d just unchecked it, but at this point, is there any way to just remove the chapters?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI keep my iTunes Media folder on my external drive, but I found that recently iTunes has put several of the albums I've ripped on my local drive (/Users/<me>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music, I assume that's the default location). Not sure why, though I know there was a time when my drive was inaccessible for some reason, so perhaps I ripped them then. Anyway, point is I want to move them to the external drive where the rest of my music lives. I tried just "moving" them in Finder, and I say "moving" because Finder doesn't really let me move but rather copies to the external drive. Which I think is part of the problem, since I then moved the local versions to the trash bin, from which they still played on iTunes. I guess iTunes (or MacOS in general) tracks where files move. Once I emptied the trash, though, iTunes claims it can't find them. Even though shiny new copies are right there in my iTunes media folder on the external drive.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMaking DVD, chapters from Final Cut Pro X to Compressor 4.1 do not fully transfer for the DVD menu. I can get the title of the chapters by clicking "include subtitles" but the associated picture for the chapter does not show (though it will on iDVD). So I have a boring menu with the words but not the picture. For example, one chapter is of Baltra, Galapagos. The island isn't shown though the chapter says, "Baltra"

I continually choose "yes" every time I visit the sites that I want to use this feature for (i.e. project management panel at work), but no luck. Well, not EXACTLY true, on a (very) RARE occasion - Safari will save a username, but still NOT the accompanying password. I had a trial for MobileMe for a while, and recently I stopped the trial as it was coming to its end. Once it was cancelled, I started to notice that cookies weren't saving anymore within Safari, and I've tried everything to re-enable them. It's crap because every-time I go to a site (such as these forums) I've gotta enter my login info. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I think it's still looking for the cloud bookmarks, and yes, I have gone into the system prefs and removed my mobileme info, and I've also made sure that in the Safari prefs that the option "sync bookmarks with mobileme" is also unchecked, yet my cookies aren't saving or anything. Not sure if it's related to mobile me though.

However, I have just started working in a group where all the other members use Windows with Office 2007. I have been able to save my numbers (and pages) documents as the office equivalent. My problem lies when I am working on a document in numbers that is the office format. I like to continuously save my progress but whenever i press save, I have to save it as a whole new document or replace the existing one. When I used to work in office 2007 I used to just press save every now and then and it would save my changes. Am I doing something wrong or is it because I am working on an excel spreadsheet in numbers (word document in pages)?

So here's my Question. If/When I drop new music into iTunes while the external HD on, how can I be sure it's copying to the external HD? I just dropped some new music into iTunes, and then when into the iTunes folder in the external HD, and it doesn't seem to be there. Do I have to set something up in iTunes Preferences? I use iPhoto 09 and Snow Leopard and I see the de-noise feature in the adjust button. I use this, and it shows the change, but when I click done and export, the change is not saved.
