Can Mail Be Transferred From Lion To IPad
Feb 27, 2012How can I transfer my mail folders in Lion to my iPad? For example, can I drag folders to iTunes and to the mail folder in iPad? Or is there an app that can forward them from Lion to iPad?

May 7, 2010I've just transferred to a new machine, I tried simply adding my e-mail accounts in and have had trouble.
So, I'm trying to copy the Mail folder in my user's library on my old machine onto my new machine.
I've placed them in the correct folder, when I open mail it's not loading my old messages.
Any thoughts on why it isn't working? Am I missing something?
EDIT: Aha! Success, I copied my mail.plist file (under Library > Preferences) onto my new machine as well.
OS X V10.7 Lion :: Email Transferred From Hotmail Server To Local Mail?
Mar 25, 2012I setup my hotmail in Mail some time ago. And I guess I forgot some setting, because what happend was that ALL my email was transfered from the hotmail server to my local Mail on OSX. How do I transfer them back to the hotmail server, without loosing date stamp?
I am thinking of i.e:
1. Create some pst file (or alike) that can be uploaded to Hotmail.
2. Find some setting that will sync the emails back to hotmail.

Apr 4, 2012While I was creating a new signature, Mail locked up on me. After doing a Force Quit, I found that half of my signatures are blank. I'm running Time Machine, but haven't been able to find the location in my directory, so I don't know where to look for when I go back into my backups.Â
In three and a half years with my Macbook, this is the first time I've lost anything.Â

OS X Mavericks :: Saved Mail In Folders Gone Missing?
Dec 3, 2014I am using Mail from my 15", late 2012, 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 MBP running Maverick OSX 10.9.5 with 16 GB memory. I have 4 mail accounts with approximately 30 folders. Everything has worked fairly good the past year, with a bump here and there. Suddenly today nearly all mail in these folders has disappeared. There are a few folders that have retained all their mail, however the majority is gone. Is there a remedy or is it gone? Rebuild has done no good.

Dec 10, 2014Entire email folders of mine seem to have lost all the content in them - all that remains is the heading detail on the individual emails.Â
It happens without much consistency -Sometimes I will use the folder, move messages to it and they will be fine, as normal,Then later on I will discover that ALL of the messages in this folder will seemingly have lost their data and gone blank.It makes no difference whether viewing in the mac mail pane or opening the message up directly.It wont happen to all folders or all subfoldersÂ
Is there a safe way of getting the messages back and preventing it happening any more?
I say 'safe' as reading through other similar threads years ago I saw suggestions about rebuilding mail boxes which others then mentioned that it completely wiped their entire mail boxes - the thought of that fills me with fear.Â
Im running an 2.8 Ghz i5 27" Desktop on Yosemite 10.10.1 - but it has been happening since Mountain Lion at least - Ive had this issue a few times but it seemed to be very limited and isolated, but in the last 6 months Ive noticed it happening to entire folders and I cannot let my records just evaporate like this!

OS X :: Time Machine Backups Not Transferred?
Aug 25, 2009I have a 1TB external drive hooked up via Firewire 800 to my PMG5 and I just got a new 2TB external drive hooked up via Firewire 400. I am trying to transfer the old backup to the new drive (around 800GB) and after 2 attempts, each lasting around 15 hours, nothing happens. It just stays stuck on the transfer screen "preparing copy to" and states like 350,000 files and just pends there. Finder is not crashed either. First time, I thought it was maybe because i had Time Machine still backup so the 2nd time, I turned it off and still the same. You see it scan and get to the 350k files and then it just sits there. Can I not just Copy, Paste the backup from one drive to another?

Sep 11, 2010I created a partition on my new iMac for 200gb and cloned my old MBP with an external HD. I tried to open it from the connected external HD and it wouldn't let me. I tried transferring the files from the external hard drive to the partitioned HD on the imac and it said this operation could not be done........
Also I tried booting from the external cloned HD and can not do any functions with my iMac as the keyboard and mouse are bluetooth and it does nothing when I type...

May 15, 2010I have 2 new HDs (each 1T) uninstalled, and I have my old HD (160 gigs) currently residing in one of the two slots in my G5. Any ideas on the best way/process to get the data transfered from the old HD to the new ones, leaving my two slots filled with the 2 new drives AND my data from the old HD transfered and intact, with a RAID0 setup?
OR, are there any other suggestions on a good setup with the 2 new HDs?
I'm open to suggestions.
I always back-up on external HDs, so, is their a need for me to worry about setting up a RAID0?
I'm doing video processing for DVD release.
Should I just max out the 2x1T gig HDs and not worry about a HD failure?

The old computer was a Windows Vista with 10.6.040 itunes. I copied the entire itunes folder to an external hard drive. Interestingly, the media file in that folder was titled itunes music, not itunes media.Â
the new computer is OX10.7 Lion. No playlists, no purchased tab, but all the music is there. Â
From what I read, the playlists should have come along.Â
