How can I transfer my mail folders in Lion to my iPad? For example, can I drag folders to iTunes and to the mail folder in iPad? Or is there an app that can forward them from Lion to iPad?
View 10 RepliesI setup my hotmail in Mail some time ago. And I guess I forgot some setting, because what happend was that ALL my email was transfered from the hotmail server to my local Mail on OSX. How do I transfer them back to the hotmail server, without loosing date stamp?
I am thinking of i.e:
1. Create some pst file (or alike) that can be uploaded to Hotmail.
2. Find some setting that will sync the emails back to hotmail.

Quick background, I just bought an iPad2 for my class and I want to only have apps related to education. My wife has an iPad 2 and whenever I buy a song, it automatically syncs it with her iPad. I don't want that with my class' iPad. Is there a way to set it up, so this will not happen?

I have checked my Junk mail and Trash and the messages are not there. I do not use Mail rules. I have restarted the Mail app and I've rebooted the Mac without any change. View 3 Replies View RelatedI've just transferred to a new machine, I tried simply adding my e-mail accounts in and have had trouble.
So, I'm trying to copy the Mail folder in my user's library on my old machine onto my new machine.
I've placed them in the correct folder, when I open mail it's not loading my old messages.
Any thoughts on why it isn't working? Am I missing something?
EDIT: Aha! Success, I copied my mail.plist file (under Library > Preferences) onto my new machine as well.
I have just transferred a folder from windows via migration assistant but now I cannot find the folder which I thought would be in Pages.

so the only 2 things I liked about the iPad are the mail and calendar apps... In my opinion these 2 apps look way better on the tablet then they do in Leopard/Snow Leopard. Do you guys think these will be included in the next OSX update (at least the interface), or are these iPad exclusives to give it that extra oomph.
Other than that i wasn't impressed at all with the iPad it was exactly what I expected it to be based on rumors and my own speculation. An oversized ipod touch designed to push paid content on the user.
Can't get Imac mail to sync with ipad. When I read stuff on Ipad then go to iMac it shows as still unread.

I just switched to the cloud email service. Yesterday my mail worked on all 3 of the G5s I use. Today I can only get mail on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4s. It keeps asking for my password on the 3 G5 computers.I tried deleting and resigning in to icloud and I tried to change the email from mac mail to imac mail but it is still not working.

I use mail app on my Mac Pro to view my gmail account, now with iCloud how do I sync my mail on my mac pro, iPhone, & iPad so they are all updated as one account. Currently I my mail on my iPhone and iPad update with each, but my mail on my Mac Pro does not. I thought when I updated to Lion I would be able to use iCloud to solve this problem, but it has not.

I've been searching for a note taking app that does what I want, but I couldn't really find anything. Before you start to suggest Evernote, don't. I don't like it. What I need is a simple note taking app without all the fuzz, much like Mac OS X's built in notes (Mail) that syncs to my iPad and iPhone. I should be able to create multiple notes, and I need to attach pictures to the notes (or embed them).
That's really all I am asking for. The only reason I am not using Mac OS X's own notes app is that the notes have a size limit. As soon as I attach 2-3 pictures, the notes are being truncated on the iPhone and iPad (e.g. I only see part of the note, the rest is missing).
I use my iPad to access my work emails as it's easier on a bigger screen than the blackberry.
My IT guy at work said normally it doesn't work outside our approved accounts, except on the iPhone and iPad you can bypasss it by turning SSL off.

For the last week I find that after sending an email with attachments that it remains in my draft box after sending. The mail shows up in the sent box, but it never get's deleted from the draft box until I resend it. This is happening on both my MBP and iMac. Both machines connect to iCloud for mail.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am unable to eject my iPad from my Mac. I click on the eject icon in iTunes and it appears to be gone but the next time I open iTunes, it's there again. I am unable to to insert discs and cannot copy pictures to my iPhone which, I think, must be because my computer thinks it's still connected to my iPad. I've tried shutting computer down and starting up again and gone to disc utilities. Nothing I've tried so far has worked.
