LInks within webpages don't work. Currently I am running OSX 10.7.4 and Safari 5.1.7. Have cleared the cache in the attempt to click on Download. The one site that has been a issue is MS Skydrive.live.com. On the right side they have a Download link...it does not work correctly (no download).Looking for idea why it does not work.

I would like to know if there is a way to display all of the hot spots or Links on a Safari web page in OSX. In other words is there a possible key combination that will highlight all of the active spots on a page at one time. Â

Since I upgraded to SL and Safari 4, when I click on a download link a new window opens up with nothing in it and the download does start. I have to right click and hit Download file.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn a couple, but not all, of my financial institutions webpages, I can't download the statements and save them as pdf. When I click the pdf link, a page opens showing the statement, but to see it all, one has to scroll the screen. When I try to print it, by clicking File on the toolbar, the pulldown menu gives me only the option of Print Largest Frame which prints only what is visible on the screen in the window. When I try to save by going to File, then Save As, a window opens for print options giving me two format choices: Page Source (html) or Web Archive, but no pdf. The statements never download, nor open as pdf.Â
What is odd, is that this issue is not common to all financial institutions. On some, the statements read, load, save, and print as pdf just fine. I have updated the Adobe Reader, and all software on my Mac.Â

I have a mass amount of files to download listed on a Web page. When I click the link, the file downloads, but the link on my downloads page never changes colors to note that the link has been visited. Â
Is this a bug and is there a work around for my HTML page? Currently I'm using javascript to change link colors.
Periodically, all links on a page (any page including Apple) will stop working. Quitting Safari and the restarting works to clear the problem until the next time. The links fail to work with either the mouse or the trackpad.

Some semi-Flash-based links do not work in Safari(I'm using 5.0.3) causing me to switch to...pretty much any other browser like Chrome when needed. For example, when playing Whirled by Three Rings, when trying to navigate the non-Flash menus, equipping/"Wearing" avatars or pets and furniture and stuff do not work.

None of the links IN THAT BOX work for me. By "work" of course I mean go anywhere or do anything. It's as if I'm clicking in an area of a page without links.
This happens for me in other sites with similar links. What gives?!
I've checked Firefox and am running the latest version of javascript. I'm also running the latest version of Firefox 3.6.8. I'm on a Mac OSX 10.4.11 - old system software, I realize, but I simply haven't been able to afford moving beyond this (plus my Mac is a Macbook, 2GB RAM, 80GB HD - old unit).
I use Safari to download my banking information. After the last Safari upgrade (5.1.4) I can log on but cannot open links to the different accounts. I can "exit" but cannot navigate deeper into the site.
Using early 2008 MacBook Pro 15 with Lion. It won't work using my iMac but will work using Internet Explorer on a PC.

I have tried using automator to load a webpage, click links and then log out. I for some reason cannot get it to work.
I used the recorder function to do this as I was unsure how to do it any other way.
I need to be able to get it to run at set amounts of time.
Some download links on the internet are re-direct links ie you can't right click to save link as (such as on the apple site for itunes 10.1) for some reason on both safari and firefox with these links it just loads the page and no download dialog box opens, i've disabled pop up blockers on both but it still seems not to work, what am i doing wrong? I know i could use software updates but i want to re-install the programs so that won't work

I came across this the other day which shows users how to map skydrive as a drive on a PC so you can upload folders. I was wondering if anyone has succeeded on a mac with something like this? Or if there is a guide on how to do it?
I tried it and couldn't get it to work. I use dropbox but skydrive does have 25GB of free space which is the main selling point for me.
I checked on the internet, but none of the download links were valid, all expired. I had the whole of Preview on my desktop, instead of an alias, and I accidentally deleted it. So could someone please send me it using an online download link (I don't want to get out my installation disk).

But I'd like to be able to use it with my (much faster) desktop G4 running OS 10.5.6, but no dice. the 'puter won't even recognize it. I browed around to see if it's just not compatible with Leopard but some folks out there seem to think it is.

I currently work from a very slow raid network box - no screen, just a networked hard drive really. problem is that it is really slow working live form it. Everything is fine when I copy files to my machine first then work on it.
I can't do this as I'm in the graphics field, and all my links, pics, blah blah are on the server - linking to things like InDesign etc.i need to upgrade in here and add a new machine, but not sure on which way in terms of software for my old G5.The PPC G5 is to become my server (its got to be better than my current network server). As per software tho, because its a non-intel G5, i read that i cannot upgrade to latest software. I'm currently running 10.4.11.
Do I, or, Should I, or for what reasons - would I upgrade to a 'server' software, rather than leave it as its current tiger 10.4.11 software (non software)basically, are there major security, network, etc features of the server OSX over non-server OSX?

When I start Safari in three of four accounts, the home page just blinks trying to open, but it never does. Safari works just fine in only one account.

Safari and Chrome do not open web pages any more, even it is connected to internet. What can I do?, I have the FUSION installed in my Mac Book and I´m using it now, Chrome does get connected to internet from windows.
