First time using Quicktime. When I go to file to look for New Movie Recording, it's greyed out saying I need Quicktime Pro. And even if I try to buy Quicktime pro (which I don't want) it tells me I can't load it because Quicktime is built into OSx.
How can use new QuickTime Record Audio in my mac for recording all sound of in my mac? like record iTunes Radio or any application sound etc... is it any codec? or method ? or any component?
At the moment I can only use the screen record function on the main MacBook monitor. I move the QuickTime window around but it will still only record the main monitor. Other than changing the monitor on which the menu bar is located, is there a way to record on a second screen?
So with Quicktime X, it gives me the options to Record using my Macs Camera, i can record my screen, and i can record audio. but how do i record the screen and the screens audio. like if i am going to record a video on the screen, and want the audio of that video to be recorded, then how do i do that?
I'm going to miss the Canada-Russia Olympic Hockey game tomorrow, and I was hoping to find some way of recording the streaming video onto my computer to watch when i got home. I've managed to get the "Screen Recording" function working properly (how cool is that??) but it doesn't seem to be picking up any audio. Is there any way to do that? I tried running a simultaneous audio recording, but it doesn't recognize the audio coming in with the video as an audio feed. I'm using Quicktime X on a Dec. 2007 macbook running Snow Leopard. Is there a better way to record ths game from the site streaming the video?
I love the options Quicktime offers me in screen recording. Before I went over to the "Mac-Side" I played around with different Windows-based screen recording software but couldnt find any that offered seamless recording. Quicktime gives me just that. My problem, however, is this. Whenever I try to record a movie or video clip with screen recording, all I can see of the video is a bunch of white and grey blocks. Is there an option I need to click or a specific resolution I need to record in so I can clip parts of videos?
I was looking to stream my desktop live to a website like youtube/ustream/justin.tv etc, preferably youtube, using Quicktime. If Quicktime can't do this, then I am wiling to download a similar program.
I goggled for answers but can't find any. I'm looking for a way that students at the lab cannot drag and drop (copying) a quicktime movie found on Desktop. Yes, they can play/view the movie clip but I do not want them to copy it into their USB. Is there a way? Like using Terminal? I tried to look for 3rd Party software but couldn't find a good one?
As expected, Apple overnight equipped its vast developer community with a new build of its upcoming Snow Leopard operating system that includes significant changes, such as a redesigned QuickTime Player.
People familiar with the matter confirm the build number to indeed be 10A286, as was predicted by AppleInsider in a software-related news roundup published earlier in the week.
Among the changes developers will see in the latest beta is a completely redesigned QuickTime Player -- believed to be QuickTime X Player -- which sports "a new minimal user interface*focused predominately on playback," those people say.
Also widely distributed outside Apple's walls for the first time is a new Cocoa-based Mac OS X desktop envoirnment featuring updated info windows and contextual menus.
Those people familiar with the software say Apple informed developers about a dozen significant issues which are still plaguing Mac OS X 10.6, and which will need to be ironed out before the software can transition closer to a final candidate stage. Several months of work are believed to remain.
Build 10A286 arrives about four weeks after Apple equipped its developers with build 10A261. Around that time it was reported that Snow Leopard would include Core Location and Multi-Touch frameworks for third-party developers, and also deliver more intuitive printer driver delivery.
Specific to the 10A261 build were a handful of visual tweaks, such as a Put Back option in the Finder and the ability to drill down into stacks via a new grid-view interface, each of which were documented in a series of screenshots.[ View this article at AppleInsider.com ]
I have several HD videos from my Sony NEX-3 camera that will not play very well from within iMovie. They freeze up, or run in slow motion while the sound track continues without any problem. I've seen other related comments on this forum, but no one has suggested a fix yet. I can play my clips just fine from the finder menu using "Quick Look". Other videos from the same camera work, what has changed?
Info: Quicktime, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Quicktime Version 7.7, iPhoto 7.1.5
I edited a screen recording video (shot with QuickTime) with iMovie. Added chapters but when EXPORT - USE QUICKTIME and set properites to HD format, once done (5 hours) chapters are not available in Quicktime. I read that when exporting to tiny video format, chapters are not available but here I' exportin to an HD format. I have had this problem quite a while now:When I open an .avi file it automatically opens using QuickTime. I'd like that because it's the best player for Apple. The problem is however that I can only hear the sound, there's no image/video.I use 10.7.2. (now updating to 10.7.3), but it already did this before I had OSX Lion installed. If I search for new updates it doesn't come up with an update for QuickTime.Any other player works (although VLC's the only one I tried so far).
Firefox 9 for Mac cannot play quicktime content on a Lion 7.3 system.Firefox displays a message that a plugin for quicktime is needed, but cannot find one.
I have Mac OS X 10.4.11 and use Firefox. I keep getting a message that QuickTime 7.6.6 plug in is out of date. I have done the software update and it shows no current updates available. Certain videos won't play and it says that this may make my computer vulnerable.
I cant stream quicktime videos in safari. Every time I go to a video for example on apple.com and try to watch an iPod or Mac advert it will just tells me quicktime is required, free download. I've tried downloading quicktime 7 again but then it says that it cannot be installed because quicktime X is already installed, go to software update to install older version. Software update has no updates for me. I'm stuck, has anyone else had this problem?
I do have Quicktime X installed but it still wont let me view the videos.
I did a quick search but couldn't find any info on this.
