View 7 RepliesI just got some internet going again after having moved. I've had my new Octopus for a few weeks tho. So much to my surprise, I open up my gmail account and it's practically unintelligible. Some weird cartoon like font is my default font. As far as I can tell, all the default fonts are activated and all the settings point to the activated fonts, but this is driving me absolutely F__KING bonkers. Has anyone ever had this problem? Now to be fair, I did install some fonts from a semi questionable font disk a week or two ago, so maybe some rogue font has hijacked my web fonts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedA web dev client of mine was complaining about the site we built her, and sent over some screenshots. It appears her font size is about two sizes larger than "normal" in both Firefox and Safari. I had her reset it to normal in Firefox - no change, apparently the setting wasn't made in Firefox.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently replaced my internal hard drive and had to re-download and update everything... Forgot which version of Safari I had before with my OS X 10.4.11, so I got Safari v4.1.3... It works great, but I know the bold fonts were never THIS bold. Here is what I'm currently looking at:
I tried selecting "Never use font sizes smaller than 9", and I even tried "Empty Cache" as well as "Reset Safari...", but it's still ridiculously bold.
Info:
MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11), 13" Mid-2007
I am a newbie. Have a Imac ( intel ) 20" Snow Leopard 10.6.3. Need advise on how to make the fonts appear bigger in yahoo, safari or google.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSafari has changed fonts on me; some, but not all, fonts on websites are now presented in some clunky cartoonish font. This is mostly fonts at smaller sizes. I've checked my preferences and the fonts specced there are the usual, Times & Courier. The only new thing is that I recently installed Pith Helmet. There seems to be no mention of any kind of font issues witrh PH, and an uninstall of it has made no difference.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a mass amount of files to download listed on a Web page. When I click the link, the file downloads, but the link on my downloads page never changes colors to note that the link has been visited.
Is this a bug and is there a work around for my HTML page? Currently I'm using javascript to change link colors.
I installed some fonts in font book yesterday, and right after i did, the text in safari is messed up (see photo below) I already reset safari, and that didn't work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI received an odd popup window in Firefox 3.0.8 on a Mac running Leopard 10.5.6
It was:
Firefox wants to use the font "Lucida Sans Unicode" on the volume "NO NAME".
This font is not installed. Allow Firefox to use this font?
Note: Volume "NO NAME" is my Boot Camp XP partition.
Also, in the screenshot it says Firefox3 as I renamed the Firefox app that while testing version 3 while keeping version 2 on the drive.
Does anyone recognize this popup?
Why is FIrefox trying to access my Boot Camp partition?
Why would it need to use a font on a volume?
After installing snow leopard, Firefox refuses to display the font Trebuchet MS.
Am I the only one?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am a recent Mac switcher and am using Pages as my word processing software. After being a long-time Microsoft Word user, I have grown accustomed to the default font of Times New Roman, and I would prefer to continue using that for Pages as well. I know that it is as simple as changing the font, but I was wondering if there was a way to change the default font in Pages to Times New Roman just to save the hassle.

I just got a new macbook pro 13" for my birthday and I was wondering how would I achieve something like this: This is something I just quickly edited in photoshop to show what I would like. I know that I have to use geektool. But I am completely lost. If there any good tutorials you can send me a link to or even if you could teach that would be awesome. To be clear I would like to learn how to add weather icon, weather info, date, time and a cool transparent bar. I would also like to know how to change the font.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have now had a nice 27" 2560x1440 pixel Job for about 3 1/2 weeks, but I can't stop it using a base system font which renders letters on screen at about 1.5mm high. One of your threads gives this answer: click on the backround, go to view, view options and set the font size.Yes it does set the font size used in the screen icons, but the font used in the window it opened remains resolutely minute. To compose an email, I must set the font to 24 pt, but then forget to reset it before sending the email. The zoom function does not seem to be available in composer.
