Feb 27, 2010After some Google trawling, I can't seem to find any answers to this question, so here goes nothing:
The 'Artist' bar on the left of the iTunes 9 interface will jump back up to the top of its scrollbar every time you click on an artist in it, and often when I select an artist that requires any scrolling to get to it it immediately jumps to the top of the list and thinks I clicked on one of those artists.
This has basically crippled my music browsing, or at least made it insanely annoying, so a fix would be nice.
I've tried trashing all the preferences and rebooting, to no avail.

Aug 25, 2014I just replaced the hard drive in my iMac with a 3 tigabyte hard drive, so I have been updating all kinds of software, etc. Instead of Foxfire, I have been using Safari when I'm on the web. When I start a general search for information, my search engine changes from Google to Bing, and I'm not sure what setting I need to keep Google from being replaced by Bing?

Jul 4, 2008That is, if I'm reading an article, and I put the cursor at the bottom of the scroll bar, and click once, Firefox will scroll two or three sections sometimes. This is very annoying, and didn't happen in Firefox 2.0. To clarify, I'm reading, and I click once, and want the page to jump down one section, and instead it jumps two or three. I've experimented with autoscrolling on/off, and this doesn't help the problem. Should I switch back to Firefox 2.0? One solution is to position the cursor barely below where I want to go, so Firefox can't jump ahead, but I find this annoying and would just as soon switch back to 2.0.

Apr 16, 2009New to this website and I'm by all means not a computer genius so please bear with me and I've been having some issues that I'm curious about and am hoping that I can get some answers hear. I bought a white Macbook about 9 months ago (switched from a PC) and I make great use of the two finger scrolling feature. I tend to put one finger on the bottom of the trackpad (just above the button) and scroll with another. Sometimes while I'm scrolling through a website, the page "jumps" as if I did a quick motion or hit the space bar to move the page down and I then have to search back through the page I was on to where I was reading, etc. I'm curious if my trackpad has issues (everything else is fine and it only "jumps" occasionally) and needs repair or replacement. If not, is there any way to prevent this?

When I publish the page I notice that the colour of the page doesn't take up the whole visible area in the web browser (it appears to be "pillar boxed" with a white bar on the right and left of the screen). Is there any way to apply the page colour to this area?

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Arrow Cursor Pointer Jumps And Teleports Across Screen Every Second
Mar 13, 2012my iMac has this glitch, the cursor jumps or teleports across screen every second. I move it and then it jumps again, always jumps to the same place, same exact pixel everytime. I try to move the cursor quickly (to open safary or hit stand by) but no matter where the pointer is across the 27" screen, it teleports like a clock.Â
I changed batteries on the trackpad and magic mouse and it didn't work. I turned mouse off, left trackpad on and it didn't work. I tried using a wired mouse and it didn't work. this is obviously not related to the input device.Â
I would like to restore the input driver with time-machine but I have no idea where the drivers reside in the machine. I also have no idea how to roll-back or reinstall such drivers on a Mac.Â
this is not the jittery, erratic, jumpy bug. When this glitch is triggered and I have absolutely no clue how or why, sometimes it starts 1 minute after reboot, sometimes 30 minutes; when it is triggered it starts to teleport every second, the arrow jumps to the same spot. it's unbearable since it renders the machine useless. I have to press the power button to send it to sleep, resume and then the glitch is gone, only to come back 5 or 30 minutes afterwards.Â
Finally, this thing happened last year in november. I wasn't able to solve it back then so I had to reinstall the whole OS Lion, that meant waiting 6 hours for it to download from the appStore (because Apple doesn't allow me to keep a copy LION on my system). I think that's plain silly since it's obviously a very mundane (but annoying) glitch and there's got to be a workarround that doesn't require system restore.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Page Is Blank When Printing .pdf Web Page
Jun 28, 2012In Safari, I am no longer able to print web .pdf documents. The print screen pops up, however the preview document shows a blank page. I am able to print in Firefox, so this has to be a Safari problem. I have checked my Internet Plug In files and there is no Adobe plug in as suggested by others in similar questions. Turning on/off the computer has not helped either. Nor has Open PDF in Preview. I'm using an iMac with Lion and an HP Photosmart C4700 printer.

Nov 17, 2008My Mac has this weird disease that it returns to the first screen by itself after I've opened a couple of windows no mather what software or program I use.
It has nothing to do with my keyboard or mouse, because this problem occurs even when I've pulled everything out of the USB socket.
For example, when I start a movie with VLC Media player it starts over after 3 seconds and it goed to the start of the movie.
Anybody who knows the solution, I just can't find anything about this issue.

I have cleaned Safari cache, also history and remove all web perveiw images plus restarting Safari and reboot all without having any effect.Â

And the search string will still be right in the window where I typed it. Jun 25, 2012I have notice reacently that when i search multiple times in google through the web based search box ( not the safari google bar) and then click on a link to a page, visit the page and the go back page ( via the back button on the two finger swipe) the search term is not the same the same as the last typed search cryteria but corresponds to the first search term used at the beging, thus the result page doesnt have the link to the page that was visited.Â

Apr 13, 2012I'm having trouble opening links on some websites recently. It acts the same on different browsers, click on a link and nothing... I can open the link in a new tab no problem, but don't want to have to do this all the time.
