OS X :: Installed SL Now Quicktime Won't Play And No Printer?
Sep 4, 2009I installed snow leopard the other day and my quicktime doesnt work right and i cant print anything. When i try to run a .wmv file which would normally play on quicktime with using flip4mac it will no longer work, it just brings up a prompt box saying "quick time player must be installed to play file" which quick time is installed so wtf here? alos when ever i try to print to my hp printer now it brings up an error msg saying that it needs to send the report to apple or what ever because something quit unexpected or what ever it says. I have never had these problems before SL instal so what gives?

Apr 1, 2012Anybody have the 12WX working correctly with lion with no previous wacom installed? hooked it up right away with no problems on a leopard mac pro. had working windows xp on virtual machine no problems.with imac lion, would not run the install drivers from disk (PPC). so installed the latest 6.2 driver and a bamboo intuos 3 driver as recomended by wacom. installed driver for pen. the bamboo driver worked for a day or so ( with no option keys working), but had 4 point calibration unlike the two point from leopard install.now, neither are recognizing a tablet connection, only works as monitor. uninstalled. tried an older driver 6.15. ran fix disk permissions, reset pram. restarted(+++). dis and re connected. reinstalled again and again. still no luck getting it running on a new mid 2011 imac with lion.

Mar 25, 2012I have a Mini Server, 10.7.3. 8GB, SSD 256, use it for FCPX mostly. Just moved all datafiles to external disks and re-installed Lion, but now I cannot access my user account. When I started up the system after it had installed, it asked me for company name and email address, but then I cannot access my user account any more.
Do I need to re-install the system again, or how can I solve this? I don't remember what email address I used originally when I got the server and registered it, whether it was my personal or the business address, which I gave this time.
I do remember the login name and password that I have always used, but these don't work anymore and I have too many jobs pending this week.

The update will be downloaded and checked agian the next time that Software Update runs". I re-ran Software Update, re-tried to install it.Same message.

Feb 28, 2012I just installed Lion and now all of all the fonts that I have in my Library>Fonts folder, only about 1/3 are showing when I launch apps such as Illustrator or Motion. They are normal fonts, like Avenir, not crazy fonts that I downloaded for free. They are there, yet not showing in the font menus of the applications.

Dec 5, 2010Installed a new 750GB drive into my MacBookPro 5.1 Couldn't get Winclone to make image so I was forced to start from scratch with a new XP installation.
My MBP is partitioned 25%Mac & 75%XP with bootcamp and I have the old drive in a enclosure connected with a firewire. So all of old files are on the external drive now.
After installing XP I have no internet connection, drivers etc... However if I boot up on the mac side everything works fine. (I cloned the mac os already with Carbon copy).
So can I just copy all my old drivers over to the new drive? If yes how and if no how do I get them installed on the new harddrive. The MBP came with everything preinstalled.

Feb 6, 2012I just installed mac os x 10.7.3 update from software update and when i rebooted my mac the wifi didnt come up. I clicked on it and it said no hardware installed. So i went onto the recovery HD and tried the wifi there and it worked! how can i get the wifi to work on my regular login because the wifi card is still good and if it works in recovery HD mode it should work in regular mode
