OS X V10.7 Lion :: Install IPhoto 9.0 On It?

Mar 27, 2012

I am trying to find a way to re-install iPhoto via Lion. I am fully aware that iPhoto was intially intended for Snow Leopard with the last in version 9.0, and Lion was the first update with 9.0.1.

Here's my dillema, iPhoto somehow got corrupted, and refuses to upload into screen. I had to take down the corrupt app, and now I can't upload iPhoto unless if I have version 9 active. How do I re-install version 9 (a clean version)? I ask, cause I wish to safely obtain all the software necessary for my MACBook.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Re Install Lion & Then Install Itunes + Docs + IPhoto From Time Machine?

Apr 12, 2012

Ever since I downloaded iplayer - my mac has been running slow. I have followed a few tips to remove it and all other related files - but it still runs low (spinning wheel of death) and now pdf's dont download correctly (I guess I have deleted too much).

My ideal would be to start from scrach - although I want to keep my itunes and iphotos files as well as my documents. Is there a way to reload back to factory settings then add selected programs and folders from timemachine? I am in the process of timemachine backing up everything now.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Can't Access IPhoto Library, IPhoto Apparently Automatically Upgraded To V 9.3

Jun 28, 2012

I suddenly cannot access the several thousand photos in my iPhoto Library. I believe my computer must have automatically downloaded and upgraded the version I previously had. Now I get an error message that reads: The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto. Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iPhoto after the upgrade. The upgrade process for very large libraries may take an hour or more to complete. I still need my images able to be read by previous versions since I go back and forth editing between older desktops. Is there a way to access the photo library without okaying the upgrade? If I reinstall an older version of iPhoto, will I lose the existing library of photos?

Applications :: Won't Install IPhoto 8.1.1?

Nov 24, 2009

When I open iPhoto on my new iMac it tells me that there is an update available and that I should goto Software Update to get it. I go there and it says that my software is up to date. I go back to iPhoto and it still tells me there is an update for 8.1.1 but it also gave me a manual install link. I manually downloaded it and it won't install because it needs iPhoto 8.1 from iLife 09'. I even tried rebooting and repairing hard drive permissions. I am using iPhoto from iLife 09 that came on my brand new Mac.

OS X :: Leopard Install And IPhoto Empty

Sep 3, 2009

I lost my photo, all of them. It is definitely my fault. Here's what happened. I did a clean install of SL and transferred all my stuff over from an external drive(TC). I then dropped all my photos into iPhoto. They were all there. I then deleted my originals from the desktop. I assumed that a new folder was created with the photos in it in my pictures folder.

I also erased my TC to make room so I could start doing backups again. Well, just now I realized that iPhoto is empty because I accidentally deleted the photos. I've lost years of pictures. Can I pull off the photos from my iPod or iPhone? There is a problem, neither of those devices have been connected to the computer since the SL install. How I can get those pictures back to my computer.

Applications :: Unable To Install Ilife 11 (with IPhoto 11 In It)?

Dec 29, 2010

I am a MAC noob and know anough to be dangerous and dumb....

Any advice for me before I install ilife 11 (with iPhoto 11 in it)?

So far i have backed up all her pics (not her library) to an external NTFS HD (i had to use some software to make that happen BTW but thats another headache)

How would i go about backing up her 09 iPhoto library which i assume includes albums she has made, printed photo book projects she made, edited pictures etc.... ?

and onto the real question - is iPhoto 11 (iLife 11) not worth the purchase price? can i put the 50 bucks to better APPLE use?

OS X Yosemite :: IDVD Install Killed IPhoto?

Dec 6, 2014

I'm on a newer iMac running Yosemite and went to install ilife 09, to get iDVD (that I need) and somehow it killed iphoto?  The ap wont even open.  I opted for the custom install and thought everything went fine (only selected iDvd, but I have no iphoto.. I'm downloading it from the ap store now, My question is this, I purchased ilife 09 and ilife 11.  This shouldnt be a problem should it?  I should do the custom install on 09 (opting only for iDvd) then do the same for 11 right?

OS X V10.7 Lion :: IPhoto 9.0 Not Updating?

Jun 23, 2012

if you have recently reinstalled or updated Lion to 10.7.4, and you have come across the 'iPhoto needs you to update, in order to run' message when trying iPhoto. And, if you have followed the prompts only to be faced with no software to download... The solution is to manually update to iPhoto 9.1 and then to run the updater again. Version 9.3 will be offered and everything should be back to normal thereafter. [URL]

After i migrated back from my Lion clone after a clean Lion install, i have had issues with iPhoto. How can i totally remove iPhoto, or another iLife apps, so when i reinstall the software, there won't be several copies of iLife apps left? Where are the pkgs. contents, etc for the iLife Apps on Lion? Also have Airport utility installed several times, and i need to remove those as well.

Oh, and when i reset my TC, i know i need airport 5.6 to set it up, but should i keep it installed and still have airport 6.0 as well? Or should remove 5.6 after i set up TC and wifi network, then remove 5.6 and install 6.0 ?
