My Lion download stalled during the download and now I can't continue the download. The message I now get is that the Lion download is "waiting". How do I continue the download or start a new Lion OS download?

Whenever I go in and download the app, it pops up in my launch pad and the status bar says "waiting." The problem is, is that never goes away. And then eventually the whole thing disappears completely as if I never downloaded it. Everything is updated and my macbook pro is running OS X Lion 10.7.5.

I am trying to upgrade to the newest version (I'm clearly behind, I know) and when I click "get" in the app store the download drops into the dock and reads "OS X Yosemite--waiting" and the only option is to click "cancel download". I've restarted the download twice and restarted the computer once.

View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday I was copying some files to my 32gb microSD drive during the night. Probably the computer went to sleep during the copying and now I can't use the drive. I tried to fix it in disk utility, but it says the drive has only 8.4mb and I can't use first aid, erase, nothing. I tried to partition it and it stucks at "Waiting for the disks to reappear". I tried terminal too - diskutil eraseDisk HFS+ newdisk disk1. Same. Waiting for the disks to reappear at 50%. I even tried to format it on windows, but it says it can't format it too.

View 1 Replies View RelatedApologies for the dedicated thread but I can't seem to find this particular issue in another thread and posting it in the 10.5.8 update discussion is unlikely to get me anywhere.I'm currently updating my workplace Mac Pro to 10.5.8... the update is currently sitting at "Patching Files" and hasn't progressed any further for over half an hour. The update isn't locked up in any way, there's no beachball, and the screens black out after 10 minutes or so of no mouse input, but nothing else is happening.
Is there anything I can do other than waiting it out? I'm pretty sure that yanking the power is going to do more harm than good..
How do I close out my iPhoto? It has stalled.

Installed an update for WePrint Server APP which popped up onscreen. Downloaded update, installer program loaded, selected drive, and install was successful. Closed the install program window (Safari open in background along with other programs running in dock, but not on screen), but the Installer menu bar remained on the top of the screen. Lost the OSX Lion Status / menu bar, the Apple icon, time, user, etc. Was able to use Safari, but not without hesitation.
The Safari menu bar at the top of the screen never appeared while in Safari, the Install Program menu did not disappear, even thought there was no evidence that the program was still running. No icon in dock, no hidden screen page or window. Closed all the running programs in the docks, and checked Force Quit, (ctrl+alt+esc) and no installer program remained. Unable to shut off or restart the computer without using the on / off button on the back of the intel mac monitor. Once rebooted all seems well.

With the impending demise of Mobile Me, I'll be making some changes. In order to utilize the full capabiliteis of new Mobile Me I'd need to upgrade to OS X.I have not yet done so because I have and use FCS 3 and Logic 9, both of which have been reported as having compatibility problems with Lion. I write to ask the status especially of compatibility between Lion and Logic 9. With sadness I understand that FCS 3 will never work with Lion, so I'll also ask of any FCS 3 users who have upgraded: what have you done to be able to work with your video created in FCS 3?

Apple Mail has a preference to 'Trust junk mail headers in messages' but I can not find a list of what those headers are.By trial and error I've learned the "X-Spam-Flag: YES" will work (exactly that, no extra info), but I'd like to know what other options there are... particularly if I can send a score/rating back and have it look at that.But I can't find a list of supported headers.The Internet is full of "common spam headers" and yet none of them actually seem to work and lots of people who can't get it working with spamassassin which is incredibly common.

I figure if I have problems with the G5 Apple might end up replacing it with a Mac Pro in the future anyway. Will Leopard work on a G5? How long do you think companies will keep making G5 compatible programs for?

iTune is able to detect my iPhone when I connect it via USB connector (as there is an "iPhone button" next to "iTune Store" button on the upper righthand corner, but the progress ball keeps on spinning forever. This also happens when iTune detects iPhone via wifi.Â

I am having another problem with my Razr v3. I am paired to my Mac Mini via Bluetooth, and setup the Razr as a Fax. This what I am trying to do Open Pages > Make Doc. > Print > PDF, Send As Fax >. When I get there, the Fax Utility opens and it says "waiting for modem to be available".
I am using these steps to set it up:
In System Preferences, go to Print & Fax
Open the Printer Browser (click "+" in the Printing tab)
Option-click on "More Printers"
Select "Advanced" in the popup list
Select "Bluetooth-modem" from the "Device" popup that appears
Select "Other" from the "Printer Model" menu
In the "Choose file" dialog go to System>Library -> Frameworks -> ApplicationServices.framework -> Frameworks -> PrintCore.framework -> Resources -> English.lproj -> Fax.ppd. Note that you can replace English.lproj with the language of your choice.
Finally, click Add
