I bought Lion 10.7 and its move to purchasing icon. But the problem that i faced its first time failed to download, then i redownload it again but the buttom it blank I cant click on it to download it. I restart and shut down my laptop but still are the same. and my account they deduct the amount of the program.

When I try to download something from download.com or other websites, it just goes to a blank page and the download never happen, I open the download tab and saw it was blank.

When downloading small files online they will download through Speed Download. Before I installed Speed Download it would just download through the regular downloading client. How do I change it back to using the regular one as standard? I use firefox btw

Says the software may have been tampered with or corrupted during download. I am NOT some computer hack, just a regular guy who bought a simple product to download and it doesn't work. Total BS and waste of my time. I'm not interested in saving my download to an ext HD, or partitioning my HD, or some other funky work-around. In any case, about twice when I was browsing from the proxy site, a file named "About-Blank" (not exe, don't know what they where) was downloaded to my "Downloads" folder. Whenever I click on a download from Safari (and maybe other browsers too), it sends me to the URL and doesn't download for me. Instead, i have to right click and use " Download Linked File". What can I do so I can click and download??

I am trying to download MAC OSX 10.5 that I just purchased and my hard drive on the computer won't show up as a destination drive to download the software on. I erased the disk figuring that would help but it did not.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIve recently downloaded a trail for the download accelerator DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) to speed up the download of a world of warcraft patch. Unfortunately, I had to delete this program when I realized that this was causing my computer to overheat due to pushing my computer's abilities through the roof. My computer has not been damaged in anyway, and i have "deleted" the program but when i still continue to try to download something it says that "DAP Plugin cannot find Download accelerator plus"; even thuogh i just deleted everything. so then i try to delete the plugin, but my mac says that "this item cannot be deleted when it is in use" but it really is not.
Can any of you help me to try to delete this plugin so i can start downloading again. After several attempts and techniques I STILL am not able to download anythinh

For some reason recently when I go to download anything I see the 'swirly indicator' at the top of the page briefly, then it stops and there is no new download in the Download Folder and Finder does not show any new file. Not the usual popping up of a window where I can see the size of the file and the download progress and the get the file from Downloads as was the case previously.

But web developers have become wily it seems. No longer do the old methods appear to work. I've tried: Apps for downloading youtube videos, using the Activity window in Safari (only a small SWF file of about 21kb appears in the activity window), numerous Firefox plugins� To no avail.
There are apparently apps for Windows that can manage to download these tricky types of videos, is there anything or any method on the Mac? I've been ripping my hair out trying. I've searched the forum, but none of the suggested methods work.
Here is a screenshot of the typical spotlight window on a 10.5.2 machine (Intel Mac Pro). Here is a screenshot of the same window after I click the '+' sign to add an additional search criteria value. In the second screenshot, that extra blank space at the bottom is where is supposed to say Name: or Kind: etc., but its just not there and I have no idea why? I have tried creating a new user account on my machine to see if the same issue occurred their as well, and sure enough, it does not.
I have tried all sorts of maintenance and repair tactics to resolve the issue (such as repairing permissions, running Disk Warrior, Cocktail, Onyx, Leopard Cache Cleaner, etc.) but nothing seems to resolve the issue? In case any does know of any third-party apps that might cause this issue, below are a few screenshots showing some of the apps, system preferences, and processes running on my machine:
