I created my Apple ID many years ago without a Credit card. So I click Finish but the Download does not start. Â Â

Mar 22, 2012When I search for OS X Lion in the app store as directed on Apple's site, all I get are some related books and a few random apps not the system software itself. When I click the "upgrade to Lion" buttons on Apple's site, I get a message saying Safari can't open the page because it doesn't recognize an address starting with "macappstore." I get a similar message when I use Firefox. The whole thing is very circular; the upgrade buttons lead nowhere, and the app store doesn't seem to sell Lion. Any ideas as to what's happening, or, more important, where I can buy Lion online?

Apr 7, 2012I've just upgraded to Lion and am having trouble downloading some apps (some work just fine). I originally thought it was my internet connection, but it seems stable. Also, my mac meets all of the applications requirements.The first app i'm having trouble with has been paid for, but as soon as I hit 'install', it shows up in the Launchpad for a few seconds, and the status bar doesn't progress. If I change the ID to mine and use my password I get 2 messages:Â "We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)" Click OK and 2nd message: "Unknown Error"Â Â iTunes does not exhibit this, and normal sign in to App Store shows correct ID, only the Download Authentication does this. I have been able to update other Apps just fine, this requires a purchase, and is the only difference.

May 7, 2012I purchased OS X Lion this afternoon and started the download, 5 hours later it's only downloaded 1.5gb and it's saying it's got another 9 hours to go!!?? The App store is downloading at 105kb/s (that is Bytes per second, not Bits per second). If I download something from iTunes or dropbox I get about 800kb/s. Why is the App store so slow?

But I need a .iso (preferably) to be used to install the operating system.Because I didn't receive any installation discs with the mac, I dont have a copy up front.What's the easiest way for me to get an .iso of OSX Lion Server without needing to use the app store.(Currently it's not easy for me to be able to boot into OSX, because I have it set up as a remote machine and I only have windows installed).
