OS X V10.7 Lion :: Cannot Connect To Mac Through AFP

May 10, 2012

I cannot connect to my MBP (2007 model) running 10.7 (10.7.4 at the moment, but I had this problem since upgrading to 10.7) using the AppleFileProtocol.I shows up on the network, it let's click on it, asks for my login and after hitting »connect«, it gives a error stating »The server XXX will not allow any additional users to log on. Try to connect again later.«. Connecting through SMB works fine. SSH also works fine. Everything else on this machine is fine, too. What's wrong with AFP.

Feb 26, 2012

I have a Panasonic TC-P50X3 Plasma TV and I am trying to connect my Mac to it so I an stream Hulu Plus.It is already connected to the internet via USB wireless key.It already uses Viera Tools and has built in Netflix, FaceBook, etc; but no Hulu. Now I can hook into Media Server Center on this TV if I had a Windows 7 PC, using Media Center. I would think there has to be a way on my Mac.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: 10.7.3 - Cannot Connect To The App Store

Feb 8, 2012

Updated with the latest patch yesterday. When I start the App Store app I have no apps showing and just receive the message "Cannot Connect to the App Store". I'm using an ethernet connection rather than wifi and have access to the internet (obviously). I eventually managed to sign out of my itunes account to see if logging back in would help, but when I click sign in nothing happens.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Can't Connect To The Mac App Store

Mar 12, 2012

For the past week or so (maybe since the "supplemental update" to OS X or the iOS 5.1 update) I've been unable to connect to the Mac App Store, and my Apple ID is not recognized there. I've tried signing in and out, and I've tried rebooting entirely. Each time, though, I have the same problems with the MAS.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: It Cannot Connect To Internet (slow)

Feb 11, 2012

I know this isn't the first post on this. Just thought i would make another post on this to press the issue with apple.I Got a nice shiny new 12 core about a month ago. In the process of beefing it up with what i need on it. about a week ago, one day, it decided not to connect to the Internet. I looked here on the community and see it is occurring with lion. Came back to it the next  day and it worked smooth like butter. No problems connecting and it wasn't slow at all.

As of now it has been 2 brutal days of either no connection OR a connection soo slow it reminds me of dial up. Maybee even slower. The only thing different on my computer right before it happened was i installed another HD and 16GB of owc ram ( took out the original ram).

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Cannot Connect To 10.6 Machine Using Back To Mac Under 10.7

Feb 18, 2012

I haven't been able to find any other threads on point with this isue and just want to determine whether or not this is some issue on my end. I have Back to my Mac enabled on three machines that are running Lion and can connect over the interent just fine. I also have my Apple ID signed in on my AirPort Extreme at that location. For some reason, I just cannot get any machine running 10.6 with Back to my Mac enabled (and signed in under the same AID) to come up. I'm assuming this should work, but is that not correct? Is there no way to connect to a 10.6 machine using 10.7 under Back to my Mac?

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Can't Connect To Server After Upgrading To It

Mar 12, 2012

I upgraded to 10.7 from 10.6.8. I've ran all the updates etc, but now I cannot connect to my OS X Server (10.6.8) or any other machine for that matter. The server appears in my finder window and will allow me to connect as a guest but if I try to login by clicking connect as or by using COMMAND+K and typing the IP I get a long wait after entering my PW only to receive an error that says "There was a problem connecting to the server "pggfx01". Check the server name or IP address, and then try again. If you continue to have problems, contact your system administrator. It should be noted that I have other machines that came with Lion that connect without issue and other machines still running 10.6.8 that connect flawlessly.

My Canon MG5250 seems to be connected to my wifi as the blue light at the side shows yet my MB cannot detect the printer. The odd thing is that it has detected the scanner. I reset the printing system once my MB kept on saying a connection error occured every time I tried to print and now it can't detect it again.I've reset the LAN settings on my printer, I tried to restore from Time Machine and reconnected my printer but my MB still doesn't detect it. Once I used the Canon IJ Network tool and it detected my printer but did another search before allowing me to select and then the printer disappeared. How do I reconnect my printer? [code]

Am currently renting a room in a boarding house, and have a wired connection within my room with access to free Internet (included in rent). Yet am worried that as I am connected to (given I needed no password to access) is a relatively insecure network, I am leaving myself open to hackers. Is this the case? And if so, what methods can I go to so I can protect myself from potential intrusion (already unchecked all boxes in sharing folder and switched on the firewall)

Intel Mac :: Can't Connect With OS X Lion To An Openshare

Apr 11, 2012

At my work today we've had a new Mac system with Mac OS X Lion. All the other macs around have the version Darwin. Since I'm only a trainee here and I have no experience in troubleshooting with Mac.

Well my question is: When I try to connect to the openshare disk it says: "The version of the server what you're trying to connect with doesn't get supported, contact your administrator". Now since I'm a trainee administrator and the real administrator has a day off, I have no idea what I could do.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Software Update Won't Connect

May 16, 2012

When I read about the 10.7.4 update I went to software update and clicked on check for updates. I got a dialog saying:Failed to check for updates. There was a problem communicating with the web proxy server (HTTP).I went to the Apple site and downloaded the 10.7.4 combo update and installed it in the hopes that it would replace whatever had suddenly messed up the software update function; no luck.I have done cold restarts and repaired permissions but these steps haven't fixed the problem. All the other internet works as expected except that a widget, Maintidget, will no longer accept my system password or check for updates. Has something perhaps blocked a port used to check for updates that is different than that used by Mail and Firefox? I may have to do my updates manually until Mountain Lion in the hopes it will repair whatever has been corrupted.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Mac Won't Automatically Connect To Wifi

Jun 23, 2012

I have a brand spanking new iMac running Lion. I have it setup with different accounts - me, my wife, the kids,... Problem is when I switch accounts or log on it wont connect automatically to my home Cisco wifi router. I need to select it each time from the menu bar. For me this just very frustrating but for anyone visiting it pretty much means that they wont be able to use the computer as they thing that it isn't connected to the net. There has got to be some way to automatically connect to a network, it works perfectly each time on all of my windows devices. Anyone know how to fix this - its close to making me pack the thing up and send it back?
