This just started happening. Startup my Quad Core 2.66, with 10.6.8 (all SW updates), login, and screen zooms to maximum zoom with giant cursor in the middle. The only easy way get it back down to normal res is to do command+esc to get to Front Row, and then hit esc.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to increase the font size of my mac, but I can't find it anywhere. I should be really simple to do so I'm probably missing something. On windows you just right click the desktop > appearance and bang. How can I do it on the mac? Oh and I don't want to increase the font of safari or finder, i already know how to do that, what I'm looking for is a way to make all fonts bigger (including menus)... just like you do on windows, make all fonts 1.2 times bigger.
View 8 Replies View Related i read may post about this but still do not have a solid answer. Will 20GB partition be fine with my Macbook Air SSD drive ?
I only plan on installing a antivirus software and thats about it, maybe 1 program.
I'm must be hitting some strange key combination / trackpad gesture (I just got a macbook pro) and my font size in safari keeps randomly increasing. This happens on the desktop with the icons as well.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to figure out how to change the maximum log file setting for my Cisco VPN. I think on a Windows machine you are able to do this:Â
[Instructions for Windows: right-click "Computer" on your desktop, and select "Manage". Expand "Event Viewer" and then "Applications and Services Logs". Right-click on "Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client) and select "Properties. There will be a "Maximum log size" and a "When maximum event log size is reached" option.]Â
I can't seem to figure out how to do this on my Macbook Pro. I'm running 10.7.4Â
Have tried viewing in Console and while i can see the ppp file - there's no way to see maximum file size settings.

Howdy all, just been scouring the web but can't find anything on this. I have a late 2008 aluminium MB 2.4ghz. I currently have a 500gb HD but want to increase this. Is there a max size/capacity that my model supports or can I go nuts and say put a 1TB inside with no dramas?

I saw this 500gb barracuda drive at bestbuy for $80 running at 7200 rpm and 16mb cache buffer. so it sounds good. But is there anything coming out soon with higher rpm's or higher capacities for laptops? i know theres ssd but thats expensive and low capacity compared to sata for now.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen attaching a simple PDF (size 15.8MB) to a simple OS Lion email, when going out it expands to 21.4 MB. This exceeds my ISPs 20MB maximum file size. Why a simple PDF would expand by almost 5 MB. The same email without the attachment is only 400 KB.

I know. I know. It's been done to death.
But it's such a shame that fonts are SUCH a pain in OSX (auto activation, system fonts, conflicts, etc etc)... and then Leopard's "updated" FontBook was no bueno.
So sad.
Since then I've been TRYING DESPERATELY to love FEX, and now Fusion2 (which is a tad better, i think?).
So the question begs:
Will SnowLeopard do anything to help with the OSX font madness?
I have just made a software update and am running Mac OS X version 10.6.4.
After my update, the font in many programs like Safari and the PDFs in Preview has changed to a weird font that 1) is useless and hard to read and 2) does not support danish letters. The result is that danish letters are either disappearing or using the normal font.
This was never a problem before updating, so obviously I am rather frustrated. I have gone into the various preferences in both Safari and OS X and sought to change the font. I have also tried TinkerTool, but nothing seems to work.
Have you had any experiences with this?
As I can't upload images to this service, I am not able to show you how it looks, so if you send me an email, I will be able to reply with a screenshot.
What's the maximum size of an internal HDD I can use with my late 2011 MacBook Pro 17"? And how much memory can I squeeze into it?

The menu (the top menu bar, "right click" menu etc) fonts are WAY too big. I downloaded TinkerTool and already lowered the size of all the fonts it let me, looked around the settings in the OS itself but I can't seem to touch the menu font sizes at all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having a problem with Firefox crashing recently. On Mozilla's forum, someone suggested that corrupted fonts can cause apps to crash. I opened Font Book to check on this. I was able to find and disable one font that Font Book listed as corrupted. However, there's another font that I think is corrupted but can't do anything about. Just clicking on the font in the Font Book window causes Font Book itself to crash! Is there any other way to disable this font (matura management capitals)? Can I just delete it from the Font folder in finder?

I see that when I open either one of my browsers, I switch between Firefox and Safari, the font is very small and I have to use CMD and the plus (+) key to increase the font.
How do I permanently keep it at a bigger default font?
I just got a new MacBook Pro 15" and am still trying to get used to the one piece trackpad. (My old MacBook had a separate button). The main irritation is that, depending on how I move my fingers, I inadvertantly change the size of the webpage and font. I'm not even sure what I am doing to cause this, but is there a way to "lock" the trackpad so this does not happen?
