Jun 13, 2012I have a folder on my Mac with about 100 .eml files, which were dragged and dropped out of Microsoft Entourage a few months ago.Is there way to import this whole folder and its .eml files into a mailbox inside Apple Mail?I can do it one by one by opening a single .eml file in Mail and moving it to the mailbox: Message menu -> Move To -> [Mailbox]
However I would like to do this in one go. I tried EmailConverterLite from the App Store, and while it works quite well, imported messages do NOT have a paperclip symbol if they have attachments. This is really hard as you would have to look through all messages to find messages with attachments.

It suddently started showing spinning circles by all of them, and I am getting "reports" from each of them that they can't connect with the server (timed out.) I can got to the websites and see the mail Ok, however. How can I fix this? I've tried to delete all of the mailboxes, but they stil show on the mailbox list.

Mar 6, 2009I have about 3-4 years worth of emails stored locally on my mac, every year or so, in the Mail App, I drag my emails from my inbox, and into a local folder I made in the Mail app. Today I run mail, and the local folders are gone, why would it just disappear like that?

Feb 29, 2012Where did "save as" go in Pages 2009? It works fine in 2008, but can't find the command in 2009. Choices seem to be - "save copy" which saves document under existing name, or "duplicate" which saves a copy but then name & folder have to be edited. How can I save a changes as a new file name, in new location?

Nov 6, 2009I am running on Mail 3.6 on OS X 10.5.8. When I archive a mailbox, it is saved as a text file that opens in TextEdit. I have all of my archived mailboxes in one folder. However, if I try to search for a word in that folder using Spotlight, nothing comes up. It seems that Spotlight does not recognize these files. How can I do a search of archived mailboxes?

I'd prefer it all back but what I REALLY only need is one folder from it of my archived work. I contacted a few data recovery companies, they all charge quite a bit. Gillware seems reputable and the most reasonable. I tried a demo of a recovery software named Phoenix, it found absolutely nothing.

May 24, 2012I am using Snow Leopard. An odd behavior has recently appeared. On some (but not all) occassions, when I send an email from an IMAP account, after the email is sent successfully (confirmed by a copy in the Sent mailbox), a second copy appears in the Draft mailbox.
The account is a gmail account (but @plessthan.com rather than gmail.com).
Of note, about a month ago (well before this started happening), I converted from POP to IMAP. To do this, I set up a new IMAP account in Mail, then rendered the POP account inactive.

Jun 1, 2012I have a few people who send me email ALL THE TIME (like 20 - 30 per day), unfortunately, I cannot delete or block them b/c occassionaly I need to read something they send me.... anyway....
I'm wanting to have their mail automatically skip the inbox, and go to a Mailbox I create for them. Unfortunately, Smart Mailboxes seemingly should have this ability, but I can't fingure it out. When I delete an email (that the Smart Mailbox has in it) from the Inbox, it disappears from both, so if I could "Auto-delete" it from the inbox, it would seemingly auto-delete from the Smart Mailbox too.

Final Cut Pro :: Unable To Import P2 Video / Add Clip To Import Queue It Just Times Out
Apr 1, 2009Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, I can no longer import P2 footage. I get the stop sign and error: no data.In the import window I can play the clip and everything is fine, but when I add to the clip to the import queue it just times out.
Any thoughts? Is it somehow related to Quicktime being updated by Snow Leopard?

Mar 19, 2012I'm using an iMac with Mac OS 10.5.8 as a desktop and a MacBook with 10.6.8 when I travel. I want to transfer my entire Address Book from the MacBook back to my iMac. I have done the reverse multiple times with no problem by simply creating an archive with Address Book (v.4.1.2) and importing it on my MacBook (Address Book v. 5.0.3). But when I do the reverse, the only vcards that show up are the ones I've updated while using my MacBook. All the rest are gone. I know I can recover all the vcards by shift-clicking the entire list and copying them as a file. However, I want to revover all my group lists, which are too many to recreate.

Mar 16, 2012I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard on my Macbook and iMac. My camera will not Import any pictures since the upgrade onto the macbook only, the camera is recognised on the iMac in iphoto and the easyshare software. I had no issues with the camera using Leopard. The error message reads, "camera not detected, please retry" this is in the kodak easyshare software and the pictures will not Import into iPhoto either.
I have a Kodak M532 easyshare camera with a Sandisc SDHC memory card. The camera uses a usb lead. The memory card works on the iMac and it is also recognised in the Kodak printer memory card reader, so I don't think it is the memory card at fault.I took out the memory card then took some pictures, iPhoto and easyshare software recognised the camera and Imported them on the macbook.

Oct 30, 2009After installing Snow Leopard on both of my computers, I have found that while the computers recognize my digital camera it will not allow me to import photos into i-photo and eventually you have to just force quit i-photo to get out of it.
