OS X V10.4 :: Error When Sending Email After ICloud Migration
Jul 1, 2012
I am running 10.4.11 on my G5 iMac & 10.6.8 on my 2010 MacBook Pro. I am using the Apple Mail application on both machines for my [url].. address.I migrated to iCloud (Mail Only Option) on thursday 6/28 and changed my mail server settings in Tiger on my G5 iMac according to Roger Wilmut's instructions today 7/1. I have yet to do this on my MacBook Pro running 10.6.8.
Now in Tiger when I try to send an email I am getting a certificate error:
Unable to verify SSL server [url]...
Mail was unable to verify the identity of this server which has a certificate issued to "*.mail.me.com". The error was:
The root certificate for this server could not be verified.
You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "smtp.mail.me.com", and putting you confidential information at risk.I clicked Show Certificate and the certificate has a blue border, [url].., issued by Entrust Certification Authority-L1C, Expires Wed. July 3, 2013.I pressed Option & dragged the cert. icon to the desktop, double clicked the icon on the desktop. It asked if I wanted to add the certificate from the file [url]... to a keychain. I chose X.509 Anchors from the dropdown menu & clicked OK to permanently accept the certificate to Keychains.

Trying to send an email in Mavericks Mail from iCloud account and got the following error: MCMailErrorDomain error 1032.Â
Does this simply mean that iCloud had a hiccup (there was no outage reported at [URL], or is there something that I can do to prevent this from happening?Â
My wife and I subscribe to each other's ical calendars via iCloud and it's been working fine since first set up months ago. Suddenly today, she got a ton of emails after I updated and added a bunch of events in my calendar. This hasn't happened before today. Neither of us changed anything and I know I made similar updates in my calendar earlier in the week that didn't generate emails to her.
I cannot seem to get my iCloud calendar to stop sending email notifications to others for every single event I change. I've tried unchecking the box that says "email me when this calendar has changed", to no avail.

I want to send a email to a group-list (in my adressbook). I didn't found any possibility. I must use Icloud email because i have an old G5, which is not supported on my OS.
I have certain characters in my full name of one of my e-mail aliases in iCloud. However, those characters are simply absent from the name shown as sender name when sending mail from Mail app in OS X. For me the problematic characters are C5 A1 and C4 8D (UTF-8 codes).
I have migrated over to the iCloud and it's not June 30 yet anyway, so I don't understand why I am getting this message. I can access my email at url... You are my "system administrator" in this case..
Does anyone have a good solution for delayed email sending? I'm currently using Mac Mail and haven't found a way to do this.
I just installed the beta version of Microsoft Office w/ Outlook 2011 and I don't see that option either.
Sometimes I'm working all throughout the night and would like to schedule the emails to be sent in the morning. Somehow, a 7am email just looks so much better than a 3am email
Using Daniel's Plug-In I am running my hotmail address on OS X Mail. However, there's an option in Hotmail called "Send and receive mail from other e-mail accounts". Can I do this on OS X Mail through Hotmail?
Anyone any idea's on this one. We have a user that has an entourage issue. Every now and again entourage does not send out an email, even though the email appears in 'sent items'. we know the mail has not been sent because it does not show in the microsoft exchange mail log, mail that has been genuinely sent does appear here. the server is exchange 2008 .
I keep getting the following error message when attempting to sync my contacts, calendar, and bookmarks with my iPhone. When I check these under the "info" tab and ciick apply, the following error message appears:
iTunes cannot sync information with the iPhone because syncing has been disabled on this computer. Do you want to enable syncing? If you do not enable syncing, iTunes will not be able to sync contacts, calendars, bookmarks or mail accounts to your iPhone.
When I click yes, the following prompt appears:
*Syncing cannot be enable on this compute*r. The options I'm presented with are:
override and Ok.
When I click override, it takes away my selections to sync contacts, calendars, etc.
I have never disabled syncing. I've looked through system and iTunes preferences and can't even find an option to disable/enable syncing.
I'm attempting to setup up MobileMe and need to get this problem resolved.
I am trying to upgrade my old Mac from 10.3.9 to 10.4. I have 10.4.0 and 10.4.2. With 10.4.0 it goes to all the dialog and then goes to verifying disk, after a long while, it says error verifyiing disk, try again.
the 10.4.2 it gives a inmediate message "cannot perform an upgrade in this computer.
On my Macbook, I use Mail when on the road. Lately, every time I open Mail it asks me for my password. I supply it and compose a message. When I try to send the message, it asks me for my password again. In Mail Preferences, I type in my password for the account, click on the "save changes" box, and close Preferences. When I reopen preferences again, the password is missing. Also when I am asked for the password in order to send or receive messages, I fill in the password and click on "save password in keychain" box. No change - it continues to ask for the password every time.
Is there a way to set up e-mail accounts in my Mac mail that allow me to "send only" from them? For example, I have a couple e-mail accounts that I only use for commercial / e-commerce communication (airline tickets, eBay transactions, etc), but am otherwise not interested in setting up as an inbox because they simply flood with spam.
Is there a way to set up Mail so that I can choose to send a message as me@xxxxx.com (rather than me@mac.com); WITHOUT adding an inbox for this account?
I am in the UK and use google mail, it's been fine for ages but I hardly ever send emails. So today I needed to and I can't! I can send emails from google mail online fine, but my Mac Mail refuses to and I have installed Entourage 08 tonight, updated it and again it fails to send, I have reset my router, set everything to IMAP from POP, deleted and created new email accounts in each programme but STILL neither will send emails!
I am begining to wonder if Google Mail is in fact poo as it seems to cause many problems for people?
Sometimes as I send an email I won't find it in sent folder. It happens especially when I save a message in drafts before sending it or when I put addresses in cc or can.
My hard drive crashed. bought new computer..... have backup dvd's........... it seems to freeze itune....... but if I leave it alone it will give me an error that says it is unable to restore because of error -69..... some of my songs are restored but only like 100 out of 700.......and I have the shuffle, nano, and Itouch..... very headachey.
Lately (started this morning), I've been getting some weird startup problems during startup. When pressing the start button, the fans spin to the max endlessly, most of the time the screen stays black without the Apple chime and computer doesn't start. After three times of shutting it down, it usually starts but performance isn't quite the same and i immediately get this error.
I use Adium 1.3.10 which normally could send message to offline user and my ex-girlfriend use Adium as well but I dont know which version. I sent really important message to my ex-girlfriend while she is offline and TWO HOURS later this message pop up to me.
"Message was not sent because the system is unavailable. This normally happens when the user is blocked or does not exist." But I did not block her and she does exist So I'm not sure she will receive this message or not. the strange thing that I worry is it was bounced TWO HOURS LATER AFTER I SENT IT,Has anyone experienced this case??? What I really am worry is the message will be sent to her or not?
We are arranging an honorary conference for a scholar at our university and we have many invitees. I want to send them an email with one text but I only need the recipient email to be shown when he or she receives the message. How can I do this in the mail application in my MacBook Pro?
I'm fairly new to Macs, I just got my Macbook back in March and I haven't had any problems with it until lately. Last week I sent a few very large emails through my mail client which is attached to my gmail account. I'm not sure what happened but while sending them, one in particular, stopped. Now, every time I open mail this email shows up under "On My Mac" under recovered up to 35 times. (Sorry, it's currently 71.) Since it's a huge email it's slowing everything down and making it impossible to use mail. On occasion when I try to delete it my entire mac freezes momentarily. I've tried deleting it in the folder but it always comes up again when I open my mail client and multiplies.
I just deleted all my e-mail accounts and created a new one but when i reply some of the emails keep being sent from the old account. I looked everywhere to find some setting linked to that old account but i can't find it.For example:
[url]...
and when i reply from the second one sometimes it's being sent from [url]..and this adress isn't in my accounts anymore.
I have a mobileme account with a further 3 names added using mail only. Because of legacy I cannot move to OS Lion at the moment. Can we still use our mac.com/me.com email addresses after June without signing up to icloud. If one or more of the email only account holders update to Lion and icloud, can they transfer their emai accounts without the main account holder doing so. If we all have other apple devices ie iphone and ipads, and sign up to icloud, can we then use our mobile me mail addresses also on our OS Leopard macs.
