I am running Creative Suite CS5 and noticed all plugins will not work, as CS5 works natively in 64 bit. I have tried opening in 32 bit and the beachball of slow goes on indefinitely and will not open in 32? I can still use plugins in CS4 then export product into CS5, but a bit of a long winded route...anyone else?
Applications :: Final Cut Pro With Waves Plugins
Jan 13, 2006I installed a copy of the Waves audio plugins into Final Cut Pro 5 to try them out, but no longer want them... and I'm having trouble getting rid of them completely. I deleted the actual Waves plugins folder and the Waves preferences (and everything else spotlight found that had to do with them)... but still when I open FCP it asks me where the Waves plugins had gone. The problem is, I get an error message like this for every single plugin and I have to hit OK on each one. So now whenever I open FCP I have to close about 20 error messages before it finishes loading.
I just finished deleting the entire Final Cut Studio and all associated preference files and re-installing the entire thing�but the damn thing still asks where the Waves plugins are when I open it! Does anyone know where I can delete the file that's telling FCP to look for these plugins?

Just a few questions. Does chrome has any problems running in osx? it was pretty good in windows compared to FF and IE.

I have both Safari and Firefox. Firefox has an IE view add-on, but it doesn't work with Max OSX. I don't want to have to run Boot Camp or similar product to run windows. I just want to see what web pages look like in IE when I am coding.

Aug 30, 2009i watch tv through a website called tvunetworks which requires the installation of a video plugin, i have been using it for a while and have had no problems until today.Im not particularly tech savvy but had the bright idea of upgrading to snow leopard without doing any research and instantly, my plugins do not work any more.
I have tried reinstalling the plugin, but no matter what i do the player still shows up as a question mark and safari prompts me to install the plugin. I have also tried reverting safari to 32 bit but the browser just crashes when i load videos.

Normally it's just a case of getting the plugin and ar she blows but according to the internet the new isync has disabled most of the old plugins. I know I can get them with nova media but I don't really want to spend more money on it... Does anyone know of a method to make plugins work again or know of anywhere I could get one? Actually, while were on the subject, does anyone have a clue why apple updated isync, removed half the phones and disabled loads of plugins for seemingly no reason??? just me and my mad rants

Jan 7, 2009After my macbook hard drive kindly failed on me, I ordered a new Seagate Momentus 5400.5, 320gb hard drive. I popped that sucker in this afternoon and began to start up my macbook with the OS X disc 1. Everything was going smoothly, except that it can't find the hard drive. It is recognized under my disk utility, but when I click to partition it, select options, select GUID, click 'OK', I can neither Name it 'Macintosh HD' or do anything else.
I can't proceed with anything because when it asks me to select a HD, the HD does not show up. Again, everything works except that the hard drive is not found. I pulled the hard drive out. Made sure the screws were alright. Made sure everything was all snuggly, and yet it still won't work.

Dec 7, 2010I have a brand new MBP. I have a 1tb external drive with 250gb's of music. I have it attached to my mac via USB. I CANNOT GET ITUNES TO CREATE A NEW LIBRARY ON THE EXTERNAL DRIVE. I CANNOT DRAG AND DROP OR ADD FILE/FOLDER.
But get this, I hook it up to my old Dell and I can do whatever I want. I am friggin pissed that I spent all this money on Mac equip and can't get it going. You may have seen my other post where I posed my issue of: 1tb ethernet drive hooked to airport extreme. Above mentioned 1tb hooked up to back of it via usb. I am completely unable to copy, move, or add files using my mac. But guess what. my pc handles it easily and quickly.

Jun 2, 2010I have been working on a project in iMovie for a few days, and it has been working perfectly. Today, I opened up my project and I could not play the project (the red line would move, but no picture would show up in the upper right hand corner box) and ALL of the options in the "share" tab were gray and unable to click them. Many options in the "edit" and "file" tabs were unable to be clicked as well.
Another project i completed months ago is working perfectly. The clips in the events play/show up on the window in the upper right hand corner
