OS X :: Way To Change The Default Font In Pages?

May 13, 2009

I am a recent Mac switcher and am using Pages as my word processing software. After being a long-time Microsoft Word user, I have grown accustomed to the default font of Times New Roman, and I would prefer to continue using that for Pages as well. I know that it is as simple as changing the font, but I was wondering if there was a way to change the default font in Pages to Times New Roman just to save the hassle.

OS X :: Changing Pages Default Font For Footnote/endnote

On my desired document, I create a new footnote, type something, change the entire font to Times New Roman, then delete the footnote before saving as a template.

Applications :: IWork - Pages (image Inside) - Black Default Font Color

Jul 9, 2010

I just installed iWork '08 on my new Macbook pro (snow leopard and general '09 programs are on it) and for some reason, the text coloring and highlighting, generally anything to do with the text and whatever appears on the pages themselves have completely gone blank. The highlight appears as this light purplish color, I can not get the text to read as visible. It appears white no matter what. Even the text blinker isn't showing. Is there a problem with installing iWork '08 on an '09 based Mac? This is a legal copy of iWork I've had since buying my first Mac, so I know it can't really be the disc screwing up, is there anyone that might be able to help? This is an image of the problem. As you can see, the black is the default font color, but it does not show up as it. Also, the general coloration of it is off.

Windows On Mac :: Is Helvetica A Standard Windows Font

Dec 12, 2009

In Mac OS, it seems that Helvetica is a common-default font (Mail, etc.) and I really like the look of it, etc., but I am wondering if my Windows-using-peers will be able to see the same font when I send over Word/Excel documents in that font? Or will it convert to some other font for them?

OS X :: Font In Firefox & Safari - Rogue Font Has Hijacked My Web Fonts?

Aug 1, 2009

I just got some internet going again after having moved. I've had my new Octopus for a few weeks tho. So much to my surprise, I open up my gmail account and it's practically unintelligible. Some weird cartoon like font is my default font. As far as I can tell, all the default fonts are activated and all the settings point to the activated fonts, but this is driving me absolutely F__KING bonkers. Has anyone ever had this problem? Now to be fair, I did install some fonts from a semi questionable font disk a week or two ago, so maybe some rogue font has hijacked my web fonts.

Any way to increase this?  With my screen at full resolution the print is very small and gives me headaches very quickly, so I have to set it to 1920x1080.  I switched to Imac for processing photographs, so the advantage of a good quality screen is somewhat wasted.  Also, at the lower resolution, the print is not so sharp.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Address Book Not Remembering Default Font

Feb 27, 2012

When printing from Address Book, the Style settings you select are supposed to be remembered as the default for the next time you print from that Style. For example, if you print an envelope from Address Book, you select Style: Envelopes and then choose your options such as "Print my address", Print Company, the font, page orientation, etc. Normally ALL of the options you select under "Style" are remembered for the next time you print and select that Style.

I know this because it works flawlessly on one of my machines (both machines are running 10.7.3).However, it doesn't work on another machine. For example, when I select Style: Envelopes and select a certain font and page orientation, etc., these selections are not remembered as the defaults when I try to print another envelope.I tried deleting the address book .plist files and restating Address Book, but it didn't work.

Software :: Altering Preview Default Font Color / Size

Oct 7, 2008

I have some PDF forms that I regularly need to fill out. Since they aren't "real" PDF forms and the document is locked, I need to print to PDF, save as TIFF and then use Preview's annotate feature to mark things up. It works well, but the default font color (red) and default font size (36) are not optimal. And each time I start a new annotation, I need to change back to black and a smaller font size. Is there any way to alter this default?
