I can change it for one conversation, but then it resets to the default, tiny font.
The preferences menu only lets me change the conversation font.

I am a recent Mac switcher and am using Pages as my word processing software. After being a long-time Microsoft Word user, I have grown accustomed to the default font of Times New Roman, and I would prefer to continue using that for Pages as well. I know that it is as simple as changing the font, but I was wondering if there was a way to change the default font in Pages to Times New Roman just to save the hassle.

Can anyone tell me how I can change my outgoing message font color like from black to Blue and make it default without having to do it manually every time. I can't seem to figure it out.

I specifically want to find out how to change the font size for "fill in the blanks" information. They're usually huge and i just simply want to make them smaller.  Â
As a complete aside, is there a keyboard shortcut for being on google chrome or safari, then immediately opening the window for "preview." I'm typing notes out on preview while listening to a video lecture on my web browser, usually chrome, and i'd like to switch back and forth.Â

When my 2010 macbook pro changes graphics card it removes my background and sets it as a blue screen. Everything else still works fine and if i go back and set the desktop background again it sets it until next time the card changes!
View 1 Replies View RelatedPurchased a Macbook Air, one generation back from current, for a new employee. That person has now left the company, and I have re-issued the machine to a new hire. Â
While the original employee's user account was deleted, and a new user account created for the person the machine was re-issued to, some updates (i.e.: iPhoto, iMovie) still require the original user's login credentials for the app store.Â
How can I fully transfer this machine to the current user, and make their account the one that the app store requires for these updates ?Â
The machine is running 10.9.3 .Â
Whenever I attempt to change the default program to open a file, it automatically reverts to whatever was selected previously. I work with a lot of .ai files and my default Illustrator version is set to Creative Cloud. CC crashes constantly on my machine, however CS6 runs smooth as silk. I'd like to be able to double click an .ai file and have it open in CS6, not CC. When I right click > Get Info > Open with and change it, it reverts as soon as I click "Change all..."Â

I go into System Preferences, choose a new photo, close System Preferences, the old photo is still there. I have rebooted multiple times, closing all programs first, just in case something open is preventing the switch. I just cant figure this out, I have always been able to change before with no problem. The ScreenSaver is changeable, by the way, that works fine. Â

I see that when I open either one of my browsers, I switch between Firefox and Safari, the font is very small and I have to use CMD and the plus (+) key to increase the font.
How do I permanently keep it at a bigger default font?

Any way to increase this? With my screen at full resolution the print is very small and gives me headaches very quickly, so I have to set it to 1920x1080. I switched to Imac for processing photographs, so the advantage of a good quality screen is somewhat wasted. Also, at the lower resolution, the print is not so sharp.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo after searching and figuring out how to change the default font for most everywhere on Pages [URL], I am still having trouble changing footnotes/endnotes to Times New Roman as the default font. On my desired document, I create a new footnote, type something, change the entire font to Times New Roman, then delete the footnote before saving as a template.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen printing from Address Book, the Style settings you select are supposed to be remembered as the default for the next time you print from that Style. For example, if you print an envelope from Address Book, you select Style: Envelopes and then choose your options such as "Print my address", Print Company, the font, page orientation, etc. Normally ALL of the options you select under "Style" are remembered for the next time you print and select that Style.
I know this because it works flawlessly on one of my machines (both machines are running 10.7.3). However, it doesn't work on another machine. For example, when I select Style: Envelopes and select a certain font and page orientation, etc., these selections are not remembered as the defaults when I try to print another envelope. I tried deleting the address book .plist files and restating Address Book, but it didn't work.
I'd like textedit to use a font that I choose everytime I open it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have some PDF forms that I regularly need to fill out. Since they aren't "real" PDF forms and the document is locked, I need to print to PDF, save as TIFF and then use Preview's annotate feature to mark things up. It works well, but the default font color (red) and default font size (36) are not optimal. And each time I start a new annotation, I need to change back to black and a smaller font size. Is there any way to alter this default?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed iWork '08 on my new Macbook pro (snow leopard and general '09 programs are on it) and for some reason, the text coloring and highlighting, generally anything to do with the text and whatever appears on the pages themselves have completely gone blank. The highlight appears as this light purplish color, I can not get the text to read as visible. It appears white no matter what. Even the text blinker isn't showing. Is there a problem with installing iWork '08 on an '09 based Mac? This is a legal copy of iWork I've had since buying my first Mac, so I know it can't really be the disc screwing up, is there anyone that might be able to help? This is an image of the problem. As you can see, the black is the default font color, but it does not show up as it. Also, the general coloration of it is off.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA few months ago I installed some Thai fonts on my mac book. I downloaded them from this site, and dragged them into Font Book. Unfortunately, one of the fonts I added replaced the default Thai font (used to be Ayuthaya) for MS Office and the Yahoo email compose letter field. Furthermore, Ayuthaya no longer appears on the drop down for MS Office, even though it's in Font Book.
Questions
1) How do I change the fonts back to how they were?
2) How do I add fonts without having this problem?
I installed a load of new fonts into font book and when i came to use dreamweaver and fireworks the fonts have all been changed and i canct read the text. I have tried looking through the preferences to change the font back but I cannot change it back. Any ideas anyone how i can restore back to default.
