View 5 RepliesI'm having issues on my Safari version 5.1.2 - the font sizes on many pages are very small, and I have no idea why as other websites will look fine.
Here's a screenshot showing an example of google: [URL]
I'm on Mac OS 10.6.8
It's been driving me mad for a while now so I've been using Chrome instead, but I miss Safari!
The menu (the top menu bar, "right click" menu etc) fonts are WAY too big. I downloaded TinkerTool and already lowered the size of all the fonts it let me, looked around the settings in the OS itself but I can't seem to touch the menu font sizes at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to increase the font size of my mac, but I can't find it anywhere. I should be really simple to do so I'm probably missing something. On windows you just right click the desktop > appearance and bang. How can I do it on the mac? Oh and I don't want to increase the font of safari or finder, i already know how to do that, what I'm looking for is a way to make all fonts bigger (including menus)... just like you do on windows, make all fonts 1.2 times bigger.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've got some PDFs I'm trying to compile into one single PDF file. I'm using an automator script which is working well, except for the fact that the resultant PDF's page sizes are all over the place some are huge whereas others are pretty tiny...
Is there something I'm missing here? Is there a way to combine PDFs and not have the pages sizes turn out weird? The PDFs are from different sources (some have been scanned at various resolutions, some are word documents that were printed to PDF from within OS X) so that could be the reason, but I'm just looking for a solution atm.

These old eyes really need bigger fonts on my beautiful MacBook Pro. It is so easy to do in Windows. Why would it not be possible with my MacBook Pro? All the menus, tabs, icon titles, etc. fonts need to be bigger. It is not ergonomically correct to have to sit so close to my MacBook Pro.

I'm new to IMac and I did a quick search and found nothing. I got an IMac less than 24hrs ago. With the IMac I find that I struggle to read things even with my glasses on. Is there any possible way of changing the system font so I can make it larger? Trying to read things on the imac is actually giving me a headache because my eyes are straining so much.
I'm using FireFox which is great because once you make the page larger (cmd & +) it remembers so when you go back there the page is still large and readable but things like the toolbar is unreadable. Some sites I've been on even with the page zoomed in some of the writing remains tiny and unreadable. I have the 27" IMac and to have the toolbar font so small on such a big screen seems very silly to me because it's unreadable.

I like my MacBook Air, but the font size when drafting email is a bit too small. For viewing regular email, I know I can use the Command and "=" to increase the size, but that does not work on the drafting window. how to increase the font size I view when drafting. View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a recent Mac switcher and am using Pages as my word processing software. After being a long-time Microsoft Word user, I have grown accustomed to the default font of Times New Roman, and I would prefer to continue using that for Pages as well. I know that it is as simple as changing the font, but I was wondering if there was a way to change the default font in Pages to Times New Roman just to save the hassle.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe website where I pay bills online has a hot link that says "print" and when I click on it, the printout is in a teeny tiny font.
The document that I print after paying each bill is the confirmation of the payment transaction. But it's almost too small to be read without a magnifying glass.
I can't find where or how to increase the font size of the printout. Firefox preferences doesn't include any sort of font size preference to choose from; and my printer application in Settings doesn't list font sizes to choose from or to set as my default size.
PageSetup allows me to choose a paper size, but not a font size.

So after searching and figuring out how to change the default font for most everywhere on Pages [URL], I am still having trouble changing footnotes/endnotes to Times New Roman as the default font. On my desired document, I create a new footnote, type something, change the entire font to Times New Roman, then delete the footnote before saving as a template.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt's easy enough creating a template to change the default fonts for pages, but what I can't work out is how to change the default font and font size for footnotes/endnotes. It should be different from the main body in terms of size, but the same font. I found a script on the apple support forums, but 1. it doesn't do what I want it to do and 2. I haven't the foggiest about apple scripts.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed iWork '08 on my new Macbook pro (snow leopard and general '09 programs are on it) and for some reason, the text coloring and highlighting, generally anything to do with the text and whatever appears on the pages themselves have completely gone blank. The highlight appears as this light purplish color, I can not get the text to read as visible. It appears white no matter what. Even the text blinker isn't showing. Is there a problem with installing iWork '08 on an '09 based Mac? This is a legal copy of iWork I've had since buying my first Mac, so I know it can't really be the disc screwing up, is there anyone that might be able to help? This is an image of the problem. As you can see, the black is the default font color, but it does not show up as it. Also, the general coloration of it is off.
