when i get sent an email with picture attachments mail often fails to download all the pictures fully. some of them only show half the picture, then the rest is grey.is there anyway to tell it to redownload the email?im using os 10.4.11 and its AOL email.

this will sound random but the 35 new desktop pictures that were leaked from snow leopard are not entirely there on my recently upgraded computer.notably, camo and the graffiti stuff. i just want to make sure my install didnt get boned and i am missing other more important things.

The half copied folder is now grey in the finder and i cannot open it or see the contents.It has files inside, i can browse them at the command line, i can even move the folder between volumes but i cant un-grey it and i cant drill down into it.I cannot find an answer to this on google so if someone can tell me how to fix it please that would be great.

When I receive an e-mail that has pictures (photos, etc.) attached, these seem always to be displayed in the message. That means that if I print the message, all the pictures are printed, too. How can I prevent this?

Now that I've downloaded it, and closed the downloads list, I cannot find how to reopen that download list. How do I do it?
Also, I want to transfer (copy and paste?) that video file downloaded executable file to an attached external hard drive connected to my iMAC which I will use to install the video driver on a PC which is in process of a clean install of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
Safari cannot download error message for more than half of the links, is there a looser security setting that can allow this

I was trying to install windows on my pro, and i had bootcamp chop the hard disk in half, but then my disk drive didnt read the cd so i had to download and install some file. and after i restarted i could no longer access the windows side, it just disappeared.....plus i cannot reset my hard disk, cant erase it, and i cant reinstall OS X because there is no memory left..
At the beginning of last year I bought a 3.2GHz 27" iMac. About a month ago I noticed that, within about 5 minutes of starting my computer back up from sleep the left half of the screen would flick and become darker than the lower half (about 4 clicks of the light button lower). Sometimes the screen will flick to become even darker than this (but usually it returns to the 4 clicks darker after a short while), and sometimes it returns to normal only to go darker again.

I have a MacBook Pro with the 9600gt in it. Since updating to 10.6.4 this morning 2 times while playing java games i've had the bottom half of my screen go black and most of the top half flicker. I've had to hold in the power button and reset both times. The second time I closed the screen and reopened it, the screen was black but no mouse and nothing moved.
Any advice? Would this be something to do with my graphics card or possibly some error in 10.6.4?Edit:: This is software related to 10.6.4 update and only happens when I open up a java game in a browser.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know about the "actual size" button, dragging from the desktop instead of using iPhoto, checking outgoing size with control-click Quick Look, Send Windows-friendly attachments, etc., but none fix the problem. All JPG attachments get reduced to thumbnail size. I have to zip them and the recipient then needs to decompress them to get the full size images.
Is there a way to reset all preferences without uninstalling/reinstalling? I don't want to have to archive/export mailboxes and then reimport.

I started up iTunes, checked my email, and looked up to see the top half of my display drop about 15 shades darker than the bottom half! I called Apple Care who told me they had never heard of something like this before and advised me to call the nearest Apple Store. I did, and like Apple Care, they had never heard of this happening.
View 16 Replies View RelatedIn Mac Mail, any images attached to a message are reduced to 320 pixels on the long edge, this happens with all image file formats pixels including .jpg, .png and .tif etc. regardless of original resolution if larger than 320 pixels, it even happens when I simply forward a message that someone has sent containing hi res images.
The only way I can see to get round this problem is to put the images in a folder and attach this to the email.
The system is MacBook Pro, OS 10.5.8, Mail version 3.6 used as an exchange client, it also happens on 10.5.5/Mail 3.5
I used to just plug my iPhone 4 (ver. 4.2.1) into my iMac and iTunes (I think) opened with a window showing pictures that were on my iPhone or somehow asked if I wanted to download (upload/import??) the pictures/movies to my iMac. I do not do this often, so I may well be forgetting something in the process. When I plug the iPhone in to the iMac, the first message that pos up is "no camera connected." Then iTunes opens and show my iPhone on left. I cannot find the pictures that I just took on the iPhone though.
