After a great time of 4 months with my MBA rev.A SSD touring all over Europe I start to get some problems lately. Different application get stucked all of the sudden moment. Safari get stucked, and viewing drawings or PDF's in "Preview" show often half distorted pictures or weird looking Fonts.

Last night for no good reason, I suddenly noticed fonts on CERTAIN websites were distorted.For instance, I have attached 2 pictures. The strange fonts show up on:It does this in both Firefox and Safari.I am using a Macbook running OSX 10.5.4 and Firefox 3.0.1I have reinstalled Firefox and same thing happens. Again, no matter, as it does the same thing in Safari.P.S. The @ symbol doesn't show up sometimes, and it also seems that and bold text is not affected, and looks normal.

I was trying to install windows on my pro, and i had bootcamp chop the hard disk in half, but then my disk drive didnt read the cd so i had to download and install some file. and after i restarted i could no longer access the windows side, it just disappeared.....plus i cannot reset my hard disk, cant erase it, and i cant reinstall OS X because there is no memory left..
I have a MacBook Pro with the 9600gt in it. Since updating to 10.6.4 this morning 2 times while playing java games i've had the bottom half of my screen go black and most of the top half flicker. I've had to hold in the power button and reset both times. The second time I closed the screen and reopened it, the screen was black but no mouse and nothing moved.
Any advice? Would this be something to do with my graphics card or possibly some error in 10.6.4?Edit:: This is software related to 10.6.4 update and only happens when I open up a java game in a browser.
I selected shrek's fairytale free app from appstore for downloading. During downloading, i moved/drag the shrek icon inside a game group just to organize my apps. However, a notification poped up saying that the terms and condition for itune has changed. So i broswed it and selected agree. But i noticed that shrek's icon is not in the grouped that previously moved nor on the original location. I go to appstore but it keeps on popping "Download now" "Shrek's fairytale kingdom will now begin to download." . The appsstore is encountering an infinte loop in my phone. By the way, im using an iphone 4s IOS 5.1.1.

About a month ago I noticed that, within about 5 minutes of starting my computer back up from sleep the left half of the screen would flick and become darker than the lower half (about 4 clicks of the light button lower). Sometimes the screen will flick to become even darker than this (but usually it returns to the 4 clicks darker after a short while), and sometimes it returns to normal only to go darker again.

is there a alternative app for viewing pictures besides preview? am i missing something? im new to osx and cant figure out why i cant cycle through pictures. instead having to open each one independently. the same sort of situation when navigating through finder windows. any advice? is this just the way it is?

I called Apple Care who told me they had never heard of something like this before and advised me to call the nearest Apple Store. I did, and like Apple Care, they had never heard of this happening.

Lately my Macbook's sound has become distorted while playing videos or watching flash videos/streams. This doesn't happen all the time, it seems to happen most when my computer is overloaded (which happens a lot due to the Safari Flash plug in). The distorted sound is not just in the video, but the entire computer is effected (any sound including iTunes music/volume control sounds/etc). I found a way to fix it, which is to plug in a pair of headphones into the audio out port (which then plays sound normally through the headphones) and then when i unplug it the sound is all fixed when playing from the speakers.
I want to prevent this from happening again though because it's annoying enough when Flash video starts chugging in Safari. Whenever it f*cks up the sound I get even more pissed that I have to go grab a pair of headphones to fix the problem. This happened like 5 times today. I have SL, if that matters since I never had this issue when Leopard was installed.
I am having this problem at the moment. Distorted video or No Video. What I should do?

I'm really starting to get sick of my uMBP 17". This will be the second time that I need a replacement machine. First time I had a faulty logic board and now my right speaker is severely distorted and I'll be taking it into the apple store in about an hour. I never had problems like this with my first gen MBP 17" and I'm sorry to see that Apple quality is going down.

My gf recently noticed that the battery life was much shorter than before after inspecting her MBP, she saw that the battery was distorted (she has a MBP from the generation before the unibody) of course, a battery is supposed to die one day, but not to be distorted with time, the risk of explosion is huge.

This problem is becoming increasingly annoying (just about everyday) and I don't know what is wrong. I've noticed that this happens when the computer gets really HOT. I usually have to shut the computer so that it goes to sleep and cools down for a little while. When I reopen the computer the video usually plays fine for a while. Anyone else experience this problem or know of a solution?

Recently I've noticed that the computer has been running extremely hot, even when just playing a simple youtube video or anything else flash related.The other day I was playing the Sims 2 in Windows through Bootcamp and the graphics became distorted and garbled. I had to hold down the power button until the computer shut off because it was impossible to see or do anything. This has happened a few other times while paying the game.I have had some waking issues where the screen will not come back on after the mac has been asleep. The only way to fix this is to hold down the power button and wait for it to fully turn off, then reboot.

I don't know how to describe it. It's almost like the pop sound you get when you raise/lower the volume, but it happens when you're doing nothing. Like the MBP is hiccuping. A very slight quiet noise, but it's strange and disturbing nonetheless. It's not a mechanical clink, like the HD or something, but a little 'pop'.

I noticed that when I browse in Safari, I get a distorted menu bar after a while. It generally pulls in content from the page that I'm browsing. When I use Chrome or Firefox, I don't have this problem at all. I'm running a 1.6 Ghz MBA Rev. A. I have had issues with graphics lines in the past too.
